Awesome house a s even better hosts!!

The house was very clean and in a great location. Plenty of room for the 8 of us who stayed. It's not on the beach but very close to a public beach access. (Maybe a 5 minute walk) Our family really enjoyed our stay over the Thanksgiving holiday. As great as the house was, the host was even better. We had a minor issue during our stay. I called Amy and left a message. I received a call back within minute and she walked me through how to resolve the problem. Our Grandson left a small stuffed animal on top of one of the bunk beds and was very upset about losing it. We called Amy and she's going to mail it back to us. We have family in the area and will definitely rent this property again!

Family Celebration of life

The place was great, clean and honey. We enjoyed the place which was convenient to where we needed to be. Only one negative:It was 2 doors down from the trailer bar which had music Friday and Saturday night. Was ok if you were inside but pretty loud if you were outside. They did stop at 11:00.. overall a great place.

This place is amazing! Larger than expected and super clean. It was our twins first beach trip and we had everything we needed. Amy was super responsive to anything we needed. Looking forward to staying again!! Fun had by all 😎

Sweet Tea Beach House Review

Pro: The house location was great for beach access especially for kids because there’s a playground on the way to the beach. The spacious living room and kitchen was nice for large family. And plenty of beds. Con: The house wasn’t very clean; showers and floors were dirty upon arrival. Dog hairs and sand on the bed that wasn’t ours that we noticed when we were checking out and had to strip the beds. There were a few too many unwanted critters in the house (mainly kitchen). The beds and pillows were uncomfortable.

Great Rental and Location

We were very pleased with our stay. The house was clean and had everything we needed. I did have a problem with the elevator (user error) and the ice machine when we got there but I contacted the owners and they came over right away, within 20 minutes. The house is in a great neighborhood and the kids loved riding their bikes and electric scooters and felt very safe. It is also a great area to walk the dogs. The walk to the beach is within a few minutes. The owners had boogie boards, beach chairs and a cart to take to the beach. The house is near the trailer bar but the only night that it was loud was Friday but the music was great! The music stops at 11:00 pm. I know there were some negative reviews about the music but honestly, it was entertainment for all of us and you cannot hear it in the house if you have the television on. I will definitely stay again! and again, and again!

Vacation

The house is amazing. This was our second year spending our summer vacation there and it won’t be our last. We have all positive experiences. The owners are awesome. They respond within an hour.

Very nice!

The house was in the perfect location. It was super easy to get to the beach. House was plenty of room for 12 of us, the kitchen was well stocked. Only negative thing was the listing has one of the beds upstairs as a queen bed & we’re pretty sure it was only a full.

Great week!

We had a fabulous day in this wonderful home. The location was such a quick walk to the beach and we enjoyed the music from the nearby trailer bar and being so close to everything. We really enjoyed our time out on the front porch. The owner has really put a lot of thought into everything a family would need while there, making the packing process much easier. Any issue or question we had was met with a quick response from the owner. What a wonderful week making memories with our young adult children and the grandparents. We will definitely be back to this place!

Great Beach House and owners are Fantastic!

We planned a brief trip to our favorite location on the East Coast! Amy did a great job communicating and the property was well equipped with EVERYTHING we needed to enjoy our stay - even toothbrushes in the event we forgot ours. The owners were very accessible, accommodating, and happy to answer any questions we had promptly. GREAT JOB and thank you for an incredible short get away!!

Perfect location, beautiful views and a handicap accessible paradise!

We absolutely loved this home. It was perfect for our mid to large size family. We have older parents who have mobility issues and one was wheelchair-bound. This home was an absolute paradise. Has a wide open floor plan, so no issues for someone with a wheelchair, the elevator was a godsend. And host even recommend how to get a handicap accessible beach buggy for free. We had a one-year-old baby all the way up to elderly parents and this house was absolutely perfect. We could all sit eat and visit together in the living area and enjoyed lots of family time and memories. House has lots of extras and amenities. Location is a 1 to 2 minute walk to the beach and you can sit on front or back porch and enjoy the views and even listen to live band music at the Neighborhood Trailor bar. We noticed in one of the other reviews somebody mentioned the music was too loud. But we thought it was perfect. You could visit outside and still enjoy hearing the music, but it wasn’t too loud to talk over. And music shut down at 11pm and wasn’t even noticeable if you were inside. The house was absolutely perfect, and would definitely book it again!

Labor Day weekend

We enjoyed our weekend, the house was perfect for 2 families and 2 dogs. Everything was clean, the kitchen was well equipped, the location was perfect, with a short walk to the beach.

Vacation 2023

We were so comfortable and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sweet Tea. The beach is easy access, within walking distance which was nice for hauling all of our supplies. We had the luxury of sitting on the deck and listening to live music from the Trailer Bar. It was a most pleasurable experience and plan on returning next year. Wonderful time at Topsail

We arrived later than we expected, this was due to Saturday traffic of other holiday seekers. Our accommodation was cool and lovely, ready for us. The bedrooms were complete and linen/towels all set out. The reception of the entry code by text was interrupted by a cell phone glitch which was upsetting and quickly sorted by a helpful VRBO rep. She connected us immediately with Amy our host. Once inside, the views of the ocean and a local musician performing open air began the wonderful week. Plenty of room for all 7 adults to spread out. Privacy and common area inside and out. Additional toilet on main floor in laundry area next to kitchen. We love the kitchen and played board games one night on the table. Short walk to beach, outside shower to remove sand. Evening concerts were fun and varied. Never too loud or too long. Hosts fixed a problem with one of our beds immediately when they were advised. Wonderful location, attentive wonderful hosts, and wonderful week.

Great location and handcucap friendly!

My father is handicapped and uses a walker so the elevator was awesome to have! The beach was just a short walk away. Every restaurant we went seemed to be only a couple minutes from the house. Looking forward to booking again!

Excellent property; easy check-in; close to beach

We had a wonderful experience. This location is across the street from the beach and easy access. House has very open floor plan. Could handle large groups easily. Porch in front and back of house. Our family had a great time. Bar is a couple of doors down but noise did not affect our visit.

Nice house and nice hosts

We loved our stay at this property. It fit everyone comfortably and was a short walk from the beach. The bar was a little loud so if you are a light sleeper you should bring ear plugs.

First fam vacay w new babies

Wonderful place to stay, good if you have small children. Gates on top of all the stairs on the decks that are too hard for babies to get open, a lot of other baby amenities provided. Good bedroom set up. Fun being next to the trailer bar if adults want to pop over for a drink after the kids go down or just listen to the music from the porch and make your own drinks! Easy walk to the beach. Bring sound machines*

My husband, Bruce and I fell in love with Surf City and hope to retire here in the future but in the meantime we love visiting as often as we can from our home in Pittsburgh, PA. We own another property down the road in North Topsail Beach (VRBO#967366).

Modern, open layout, fully stocked kitchen & elevator. Beautiful deck on the front & back of our home. The location is perfect- so close to the beach, park, nightlife & market & a bonus view of the beach and the intercoastal waterway. Our home feels just like home, but right at the beach!

I just love the quiet neighborhood feel of our home. The quiet streets are perfect for bike riding with views of the intercoastal waterway and canals. Its also so close to nightlife but so very quiet at the same time- best of both worlds!
