We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Light and Sky! The house is beautiful and very well equipped. We appreciated that the pantry had a lot of basic staples because we always like to cook at the beach. We loved all the furniture on the upper deck and spent a lot of time in the mornings and evenings watching the sunrise and sunset. It is very close to the beach too - really a 1 minute walk. We hope to come back again soon.

This rental was perfect for a group of 30-40 year old moms looking for a quiet and fun weekend away! We each had our own bedroom and Queen bed. The house was beautiful and had everything we needed from multiple coffee makers to a crockpot as well as all the linens. The location was super close to the beach and we were able to get a couple walks in before a storm. We hope to come back in the future!Our host was kind and very responsive to any questions we had.

This was our second time staying at this property. It really works great for our family. The kitchen is stocked with anything you might need during your stay. There is ample common space for families. The deck space and seating is great and covered. The walk to the ocean is very easy and short. This property is perfect for a beach vacation!

Everything went smoothly for our stay. The property was very clean and well-appointed. I am local, but could easily have flown in with zero supplies, as there were lots of extras at the house - fully stocked kitchen, pretty much everything you need. The beds were comfortable for everyone. It was the perfect size for us and it was a treat watching the storms from the top deck. The house is very close to the public access, at which we had a sea turtle nest identified and now guarded. This access wasn’t super crowded which was also nice. This location is close to so many things. We would definitely recommend the home to anyone!

This place was amazing. One of the most well-stocked rentals we’ve ever stayed at - from kitchen needs to beach towels, extra blankets, beach toys, etc. Ample room for a large family to spread out. There was even a handful of baby/toddler items that were incredibly helpful - a gate! And a bed rail!

The house was very well kept. Neat and clean upon arrival. There was more than enough room for our large family and my in-laws. We cook at home while at the beach and this was hands down the best equipped and organized kitchen we’ve come across. Beach access is a couple of minutes from the house. Convenient to Surf City and short drive to Sneads Ferry. We had a great stay!

Simply wonderful

It was almost like being at home - except for the ocean. The owners have anticipated needs and filled those needs. Everything is very easy from confirmation thru checkout, the beautiful beach was an incredibly short walk away and the ocean views from the decks are so relaxing! Great neighborhood! Beds were comfortable with nice linens, furniture allowed room for everyone and incredible game nights at the large dining table!

Wonderful stay here to celebrate our parent’s 70th wedding anniversary. Great location with easy access to the beach and ocean views. Property is equipped with everything you need. Plenty of parking, seating around the dining table and in the living room.

Amazing!!

I don’t think I’ve ever stayed in a vacation rental as clean as this one was!! There were no pet odors or stains. We all loved it and the beach access was so close. The house was stocked with everything we needed. We really want to rent this house again, but with 3 senior citizens in our group, the stairs were a bit difficult for them. We will definitely check out other rentals from this host.

Excellent Vacation Home

One of the best vacation homes I’ve ever rented. Everything was as described or better, the house was well stocked with kitchen equipment, overall the house was well appointed and the furniture was comfortable and in good condition. There was a ton of beach equipment there even though we didn’t get to use it that often. Hurricane Debby made for one of the worst weather vacations we’ve had, but we made the best of it! This house was the perfect size for our group of 9 + 2 dogs. There was enough room in the house to provide seating at the dinning room table, around the living room and outside on the porches. Even though it’s not directly on the beach (we typically rent oceanfront) we had a nice view of the water and the walk is very easy and convenient. We will most definitely consider renting this vacation home again!

Great views and location

This house had great views of the ocean, a wonderful layout with bedrooms, and all around great space! We also had to work some while there and the internet connection was great! also, great proximity to downtown surf city.
