Summary:
Little Gasparilla Island is a bridge-less barrier island off Florida's West Coast. Access is by private boat or water taxi only, which means our beaches are uncrowded, our fishing is great, our island is unspoiled and your vacation can be exactly what you want it to be.

The Space:
Cuttlefish Cottage is a stunning newer home, thoughtfully designed and planned to offer the ultimate beach house experience, with maximum convenience.

A large, screened porch extends the full width of the home on the south side, and a delightful sun bathing balcony with two chaise lounges overlooks the Gulf. The views of the Gulf from the porch beckon you to the beach, just a few short steps away. Downstairs, an outdoor shower allows you to rinse off and leave the sand outdoors.

Inside, this home is designed with every comfort in mind. There is a large eat-in kitchen plus a table on the porch for outdoor dining, The kitchen flows into the living area with comfortable seating and lovely views of island foliage.

The master bedroom features a queen size bed, en suite bath and gulf views. The second bedroom offers a king size bed and has doors that open to the screened porch. The third bedroom offers two twins that can be combined to form another king. The second and third bedroom share the guest bath.

The owners provide paddle boards, kayaks, and an outdoor ping pong table! And, if you would like to rent a golf cart to explore the island, we may be able to offer one, subject to availability.

*Please be aware that we can not permit guests to check in or check out the same day another guest will be occupying the property. We require at least 24 hours of vacancy between each reservation.

Due to insurance restrictions, the following breeds are NOT permitted: Akita, American Bull Dog, Beaucerons, Caucasian Mountain Dog, Chow Chow, Doberman Pinchers, German Shepherds, Great Danes, Keeshounds, Pit Bull, Staffordshire Terriers, Presa Canarios or Rottweilers.

Vacation Rental Damage Protection - $59 fee for “all risk” damage protection through Waivo

Boat Slip - included on dock number 51 (this is also where the water taxi will drop you off) —24 ft. boat limit.

Complimentary Concierge- will meet you at the dock with a golf cart to assist with transporting your luggage and groceries to the home

The Neighborhood:
This home is on a bridgeless barrier island. You can NOT drive to the island. There are no stores or commercial facilities, but there is grocery delivery service available.

Getting Around:
You must take the water taxi ($10 per person each way during regular daytime hours) or bring a boat (dock slip included). 24 foot limit on all boats at dock 51.

Other Things to Note:
Please evaluate your expectations before booking a stay on Little Gasparilla Island. If you are expecting a polished "resort" atmosphere, Little Gasparilla is decidedly more rustic. During periods of heavy rain or tropical storms, there may be standing water on the roadways, at the dock and around the house. This is a tropical environment with mosquitos, rust, power outages and other minor inconveniences. If you are expecting resort amenities and services, the island might not be for you.

Interaction with Guests:
We are based on-island and have an on island guest services manager and grocery service in case you need anything during your stay. Maintenance issues require a handyman coming from the mainland, so repairs may take a bit longer than you are used to. On the island, our mantra is "go-with-the-flow"!
