IMPORTANT****The VRBO service fee of 12-15% is now included within my rates. Example: my nightly rate in April of $425/night plus $325 cleaning and $200 linens per stay becomes $625/night for a 3 night stay but when vrbo adds in their fee, it jumps to $708/night for a 3 night stay. If more nights are added, my rate of $625 inclusive stays the same but vrbo will show an even higher rate because they are adding 12-15% for every additional night. Feel free to send me an inquiry if you want further clarification. This is important info to know when comparing properties.

***Our beautiful lakefront home was built in 2008 (remodeled in 2018) and is more than a cottage or cabin but a wonderful full amenity home located DIRECTLY on the sandy shores of Lake Michigan with a sandy beach and NO BLUFF. Our goal was to create a place for couples, families or small groups to gather and have enough room...plus PRIVATE ENSUITE BATHROOMS FOR EACH BEDROOM!

All bedrooms are ensuite plus the first floor also gives you a 2nd kitchen, 2nd living room and the 4th full bathroom and bedroom. There is also an open loft on the 3rd floor with a queen pullout. 2 TV's in the two living rooms, not bedrooms.

When you rent Eagle Shores you get:
- 2 kitchens, 2 living rooms
- Wood burning fireplace in the great room
- Powder room off of the great room
- 100' of Private lake frontage with no-bluff private lake frontage access
- 1st floor apartment-like with queen bedroom, queen pullout couch, 2nd kitchen, 2nd living room and full bath with tub/shower.
- 2nd floor King bed primary bedroom suite, 2 person shower, travertine tile
- 3rd floor two Queen bedroom suites with private baths plus a twin bed in each.
- LAKE VIEWS from every room except the laundry room and bathrooms

The home was absolutely beautiful and very well appointed. There was so much helpful information provided by the hosts. There was plenty of room to spread out or hang out together. The private beach was incredible and so peaceful. We saw beautiful sunsets, eagles, shooting stars and even the northern lights! This is a must-stay location. We definitely plan to return.

What a great house, everyone loved the layout and having a bedroom with a bathroom. Plenty of room to roam. Great access to beach and plenty of places to sit to watch the huge waves or sunsets.

We enjoyed our stay with friends. The house was very nice and the location was great. The private beach was very close with just a few stairs. The only issue we had was the amount of fruit flies in the house, left behind by the previous renters.

We're Coming Back!

L-U-X on Lake Michigan is a beautiful lake home right on Lake Michigan. It is very clean and comfortable with enough room for our family (6 adults, 3 kids). The kitchen was stocked with most anything you could want to prepare your meals. We loved having a bathroom for each bedroom. The beach was wonderful and the sunsets were outstanding. We truly enjoyed our stay and will be coming back again!!

Lake Michigan splendor

This place has it all: a gracious lake home, a sandy beach, wonderful views of the Lake Michigan, mature trees for beauty and getting out of the heat, decks for eating or reading or dreaming. The house has plenty of space while feeling cozy and comfortable. Kitchen is designed for cooks and relaxing over a nice meal. The owner is helpful and easily reached. Truly special place.

Fantastic lakeside getaway

This property was well-maintained, comfortable, roomy, and immaculate, and had all the extras anyone might need. The best part, of course, was being right on the Lake Michigan beach, great for lake activities, walking on the beach, and spectacular sunsets. It is also close to many of the attractions of northern Michigan. We had one of the best vacations we have ever had, mainly because of the comfort of the environment. Five stars in every area.

Lake Michigan shoreline

This rental is spectacular and very affordable. The 3 levels and privacy for all in the party. Each bedroom has its own bathroom and the main level is a great gathering place. The view of the lake and easy access to it is a key feature. The communication with the owner is excellent. I highly recommend this property for a getaway on Lake Michigan.

Little Gem On The Water

Stayed here with a group of 8, accommodations were perfect. Layout of the house provides some privacy. House was very clean and provided all the necessities needed. View of the water was stunning. Loved every minute

Loved every minute of our stay! The view, and the number of places to view it, were just spectacular. Super clean, easy to find whatever we needed in the kitchen. Sitting on the back porch and beach with a glass of wine was exactly what my friends and I needed. The water was chilly, but some of us went in anyway. The water is sooo clear! We had the best time at Eagle Shores!

Perfect for Couples

The house is as described in the HomeAway posting. It is perfect for multiple couples with an on suite for all plus an extra half bath. There are a few condiments in the cupboard with all pans needed for cooking. The beach has eroded this year but may change in the future. It was close to mane good golf courses.

A stunning lake house

Thank you for a special time away. The house was beautiful and solid, the lake was a backdrop on one full side, and the waves were the soundtrack. Bathrooms in each bedroom is genius when you are traveling with non-family members, and few people even had to share. The kitchen and great room were exactly what we needed to enjoy time together when restaurants were closed to indoor dining. We will definitely be back, hopefully in the summer!

2023 Birthday Stay

The owner was great to work with. The place was CLEAN. Really nice, beautiful house. Everything was as they said it would be. Everything worked. We had a great week and so did all of our visitors including our poodle. Only negative for us was the inside stairs. There were a lot of them.

The house was everything I expected and more!! Picture perfect!!

The boxes for cleanliness in bathrooms, kitchens, floors & linen were checked off. No clutter and beautiful decor stood out. Referal notes in the kitchen on where to find things (then put them back!) were extremely helpful...anything needed was found. The bedrooms were terrific! Everyone had a lakeview. We all gathered mostly on the top deck but there were tons of other spaces outside to retreat to if desired. A place I'd surely revisit!!

This house was an accident! We had purchased the home next door in 2005 and a family member bought the lot this house sits on. After 2 years and finally getting approvals and permits, they decided to sell and we took over ownership. "Relax on Lake Michigan" is what it's all about! From the beginning we wanted to build the perfect casual yet nicely appointed retreat for ourselves and others.

Why they chose this property

We named our website "Relax on Lake Michigan" because that is what this house is all about! We love Lake Michigan and we love relaxing! We were renters of many Lake Michigan homes for over 18 years before we bought and became stewards of the lake. We love the sounds, the smells, the views and most especially the calm, peaceful feeling of being up north.

What makes this property unique

This home is loved by all because it is surrounded by trees yet directly on the water without a bluff. The details are quality and everyone loves having their own bathroom. It really is the perfect spot to "relax on Lake Michigan"!
