Direct Oceanfront 3 bedroom rustic beach cottage. Great beach memories!

One of only a few direct Oceanfront beach cottages left in Carolina Beach that is great for families. Sit on the front porch and watch waves or get up and have a cup of coffee on the porch to a beautiful sunrise. Direct beach views and access. This home was built in 1966 and owned by the same family for 55 years. This cottage offers an incredible beach retreat that is reminiscent of simpler times. Excellent surf break in front of home which is only 100 yards from the Tiki bar. You will enjoy "Mike's Beach", the private beach area at the base of the porch steps on the oceanfront. Want to get away from the beach crowds? You have your own private area to retreat to where you can sun, listen to music, make your own drinks or cookout on the Weber grill.
This is a very unique spot in Carolina beach with ocean views to die for! Sunrises that will amaze you and a location that is convenient to everything! You will enjoy the quaintness of this home and the unbeatable location! Bring your beach bikes and never have to worry about parking! House is a short 20 minute walk up the beach to downtown or a 5 minute bike ride!

The beach house was in a great location and was cozy and comfortable. My wife and I enjoyed our stay and appreciated being able to have our dog with us for her first beach trip. We'll both agreed that we'd love to rent the home again in the near future. The host was excellent in responding to all of our questions ahead of our stay.

Kitchen was compact but large enough. To be comfortable. View was stunning. You can see the ocean from 2 bedrooms, living room and kitchen. Took lots of pictures of sunrise, and moon rise. Pictures don’t do the cottage justice. The living area is much larger than it looks in pictures. Bedrooms are small but adequate. Beds are comfortable. I just a can’t say enough about the cottage view, location. 2 minutes from the beach. Very easy access, no big hill to climb from beach to wooden walkway. Tiki bar is easy walking distance from the beach or road,and is one of my favorite restaurants. Great food and drinks.
Bathroom has a long two shelf counter to keep all your stuff on. Row of lots of hooks for your towels.
Most of my inside pics had people in them. This doesn’t do it justice but only shot I had There is a comfy couch and a recliner in the living room.
Private yard is a beach. Very comfy and you can take the sun right in your yard.
Moon rise. We had a harvest moon so got some great pictures. Right from the porch

Our Happy Place

This was our second stay. Mike has carved out a little slice of beach paradise. Our family has enjoyed making so many great memories there this past two years. We weren’t five minutes down the road on our way home when my daughter said, “so we’re coming back again next year, right?” I sure hope we can. If the beach is your thing then you want to stay here. Mike is such a great host, keeps his property beautifully maintained and welcoming, and is genuinely great to deal with.

Our second year staying here. One of the best locations in Carolina Beach. The house has everything we need. Great space off the deck behind the dune, beach chairs, new appliances, fully stocked kitchen. Mike is incredibly responsive.

I have grown up surfing and loving the beach. After many years of dreaming about a beach house at a great surf spot, I found this property that became available, after 50 years with the same family. I welcome everyone to my dream beach house!

Why they chose this property

Surf4life Beach Cottage is one of the only oceanfront homes on a private street with no public parking. This house has unobstructed ocean and beach views with sunrises to die for! You can sit on the porch and watch the surfers and beach goers. The Tiki Bar is very close and your can see the crowds and hear the live music in the summer time!
