The host was very responsive to all my questions. They had to replace the grill and made sure the new one was put together and at the house on the day we planned to grill. The house had many amenities and clean linens. The beds were comfortable. The only con is it wasn’t as clean as I expected with dead bugs on the window sills and toothpaste splatter on the master bathroom mirror. However, the host was amazing, you can’t beat the view and it is an easy drive to Bozeman.
Very clean & cozy, pet-friendly, nice beautiful property that was used for fun (sledding). The host was very receptive to our needs. The cabin felt like home. There were plenty of blankets, sheets, and towels. The kitchen was well equipped with pots/pans, plates, utensils, serving dishes and appliances. It was perfect!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. The location and views were amazing. We would definitely recommend and plan to stay again in the future.

Unfortunately we saw a mouse in the house at midnight our first night and found droppings on the kitchen floor the next morning. We also noticed rodent repellent and a mouse trap in the pantry. We left after 1 night because of the health risk and I’m likely not renting from Vrbo again because of how they handled the situation. It’s really too bad because the host took a lot of care to make us comfortable (ex. provided a pack and play plus sheets for the cushion) but failed to exterminate the mice on the property. I would check when the last time an exterminator has done work before booking. Mice in Bozeman carry hantavirus.

Our guest house is in the mountains. And, yes, we do have the occasional mouse. We use traps and repellent instead of poison because we also allow guests to bring pets and do not want poisoned mice to be eaten by pets or wildlife.
This guest and her family had booked two properties in the area she was supposed to cancel the reservation with us but forgot until 3 days before her arrival claiming pregnancy made her forgetful. The mouse and "health concerns" became a convenient way to claim a refund after the fact. If she had called when she saw the mouse droppings we would have been at the property in minutes with traps. She did not, By the way, the last county health department confirmed case of hantavirus was in 2001.
VRBO handled the situation fairly and professionally, and a partial refund was made, unfortunately it was not good enough for this guest.
This house is in a great remote location, yet close to Bridger Bowl Ski area. Beautiful area, great hosts and the house was perfect for our 2 families.

Thanks Anne. We are happy you enjoyed our little slice of heaven. I loved watching the kids sledding on the hill across the creek. Also, thanks for leaving the place so tidy.
We had a great time staying here over the Thanksgiving holiday! The cabin is homey and very comfortable. The property is beautiful! Lots of good hiking! Recommend!
We vacationed with our dog and wanted a place tucked away with mountainous views. We were close enough to go on day trips to parks but when we retreated to our cabin, it was quiet and beautiful. Our dog seemed relaxed as well. We enjoyed our week there in the Bridger Mountains outside of Bozeman!
We are 2 families that travel alot together. Found this vrbo for a christmas vacation. It was great, beautiful views, beautiful house and super great hosts!

About the host
Your host
The owners have operated a ranch on this 100 acre property since 1983. Now retired the "guest house" is available for memorable family vacations and quiet get-aways. The owners live in the main house down the road. While available if needed our philosophy is to allow our guests their privacy. .
Why they chose this property
There is a magic about this area that needs to be experienced. Returning guests tell us there is just nothing like it. Getting up early to watch the sunrise, hear the birds, and maybe watch a mother deer with her fawn or an elk and a calf is an experience not soon forgotten. The air is clean and crisp. The quiet is amazing. The creek provides a great retreat in the warm of the day and sitting next to the water will provide relaxation and peace that is not easy to find.
