Hello! So glad that you enjoyed your stay! Thanks for the pictures. Hope your holiday has been all you had hoped for!
We thoroughly enjoyed the cabin. It was peaceful and cozy. We saw deer daily and our pups loved having all the space to roam and explore. We would recommend to anyone wanting to get away from crowds, but still be close to Bozeman. Would definitely stay again!
Beautiful home in a very private setting. House is very well setup and the owner is prompt in responding to questions. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Beautiful house & great location!
We stayed at the 5 Firs Log Home for the entire month of July. The house was fabulous and came stocked with everything we needed! The location and setup provided the quiet sense of seclusion while still being only 25 minutes from town. We had frequent visits from local deer and turkeys. Great place for dogs. I would definitely recommend this place!

Great location, great cabin
The cabin was great! We were in town for a wedding, and having arrived too late to hit the store (snowstorm) really appreciated the breakfast foods. We loved the close proximity to Bridger, as well as the ability to quickly get to Bozeman to see family. The kids enjoyed sledding and we enjoyed deer watching. It was a comfortable relaxing stay and the cabin was decked out with everything you could need. Thanks again!

Just the place to get away from so much and enjoy the scenery and Nature. Yellowstone was a bit of a drive; but, worth every mile. The facility was perfect and we just had a terrific time....and, yes, the group of deer wished us a good trip as well....the elk did too.

Warm, comfortable and charming
My husband, myself and our adult son had a really wonderful week at Five Firs. The cabin is in a really interesting spot outside of Bozeman. We saw elk, moose and a ton of deer. There are also smaller wildlife—chipmunks scurrying on the porches and munching on the fir cones. We just LOVED staying there. Everything we needed was there and the hosts were available and helpful. Can’t wait to go back!

Into the Country
I wanted to visit my son at MSU, but not be in town. My job allows me to work from most anywhere. Your cabin was perfect. Quiet. Peaceful. He and his sister came to stay with me for the week. I was up early to do my work at the dining table overlooking the valley, deer wandering by, snow falling. And there were the turkeys out back, some 35 of them altogether. It was a great place for an evening conversation and a wonderful base for a day of skiing at Bridger (with late season powder of all things), and a day jaunt to Yellowstone. A log home tucked away in the norther Rockies? What's there not to like? Loved it. Great home. Great memories. Thanks.

Very clean. Never rented anything so well stocked with anything you may need. Didn’t know about the event center across the road. But was not an issue.
Thought i had left a review after we left but now need to say what a great place to stay this was for us. Quiet, clean , comfortable. It was just what we were looking for with our trip to Montana! Would stay again in a heartbeat.

We have always wanted to come to Montana and this cabin did not disappoint! Beautiful views, quiet, perfect. We played games, talked, laughed......it was amazing! Thank you!
I can’t say enough about our amazing vacation at Five Firs cabin. The cabin was equipped with everything we needed. It was very clean, secluded, peaceful and relaxing. The owners were very accommodating and easy to communicate with. We fell in love with this cabin and Montana and really hope to return again someday.
The hosts are awesome, the cabin is awesome, really enjoyed our stay here. It's a beautifully remote location, still easily accessible to Bozeman. The hosts have bird seed available, every afternoon we put some seed out in the feeders, sat on the deck and watched the show. The stars at night will knock your socks off.
My wife and I went on a week long work vacation at the Gallatin log cabin. We had a wonderful time working and hiking The cabin was fully furnished with everything we needed. The kitchen was clean and stocked, the internet connection was suitable for our online work, and watching the deer and birds provided plenty of entertainment. We enjoyed hiking around the immediate property as well as the surrounding areas. It's close to Bozeman (a lovely 20 minute drive). The owners went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of. Highly recommended!
very nice cabin and rural location, well stocked kitchen, linens, board games and other extras (like binoculars), we enjoyed a very nice Thanksgiving weekend
This was our first time staying outside of downtown Bozeman while visiting our college student and we are thankful we tried something different. The cabin is clean, well stocked, quiet and cozy. We enjoyed the beautiful property with amazing views, even saw some mule deer outside the bedroom window. The WiFi is limited but was communicated to us by property owner. A short drive to town with plenty of hiking and outdoor activities. Would love to stay here again.
Super cute, rustic cabin with great views. A great place to relax and enjoy the Montana outdoors, close to Bozeman yet quiet and peaceful. The cabin was very clean and well equipped.
We have stayed at 5Firs for many summers. We love it. It is perfect for our family of 4. The deck is gorgeous and our favorite place to read, birdwatch, and star gaze. It’s far away from the stresses of life and the crowds, yet a short (and pretty) drive into Bozeman for groceries and restaurants. It’s a great launching off point for fishing and hiking. It’s well equipped with kitchen supplies for cooking great meals to
eat on the deck. There are new pots and pans this year! We can’t wait to go back. Thank you Christopher and M.E.!
Great spot, just the right distance to get away from the city and experience the beauty of Montana. Would highly recommend.

Yes , Jessica, we are just a short drive through the Beautiful Bridger Mountains outside of the vibrant city of Bozeman. That is a comment that lots of our guests have said. We like the secluded location of our home and the close proximity to Bridger Bowl Ski area and Crosscut Nordic center as well.
Thanks for taking such good care of our 5Firs Cabin!
Come back and enjoy another season sometime!
Perfect spot for our fishing trip. We saw a black bear, mountain lion, deer, and turkey all within a mile of the property.

About the host
Hosted by MaryEllen \"M.E.\" and Christopher Spogis
Having lived in Montana for 49 years, my husband Christopher and I welcome you to our Mountain Log Home nestled in the Bridger Mountains, a short drive from downtown Bozeman, Montana. We grew up in Eastern parts, moved to Montana for college, and have stayed ever since, raising our daughter in the nurturing community of Bozeman. We enjoy all of the culture this area has to offer, and would love to share our favorite spots for skiing, hiking, biking, boating, fishing, eating, libations, theater, shopping, visual art, and many other Montana experiences.

What makes this property unique
Without a doubt, our log home is town and country at its height! It has the best of both worlds, wherein one is able to truly feel away from it all, yet be a short drive to the small city of Bozeman, or east to the tiny, charming Montana towns of Clyde Park and Wilsall, where burgers and beer & rodeos await. The 10 minute, 5.5 mile drive to Bridger Bowl Ski Area and Crosscut Mountain Sports Center are without reservation an awesome boon! The drives to all of these locations are stellar, with views of numerous jagged mountain peaks, and green, tree swept mountain sides, backset with our Big Montana Sky. Additionally, I have always loved how our home is just off the paved Brackett Creek Road, yet the driveway is just long enough to feel quite removed and cozy, nestled in the huge fir and pine trees!
