New modern luxury mountain cottage

Newly constructed cottage tucked away on the mountainside, yet only 5 miles to downtown Cookeville. Location is convenient to parks, hiking, waterfalls, shopping, and dining.
Nestled on Buck Mountain is this new modern luxury cottage that features floor-to-ceiling windows to frame the views. The private master bedroom is on the main level with a queen bed and access to the wrap around deck. Two tiled bathrooms, one of which features a jetted whirlpool tub with Roku TV. The loft area has a king bed, a twin bed, and a desk. The loft is accessible by a ship ladder and may not be suitable for the elderly or small children. It doesn’t have a private door, but does have a gate. Kitchen has all essentials. Dine inside or outside on the spacious deck where you can enjoy the mountainous views, sunrises and sunsets, and starry nights. Cozy fire pit out back.

Wonderful Getaway

This place was adorable and was exactly as described. We loved being close to downtown but yet not. It was nice to feel more secluded but still able to quickly and easily drive to restaurants and shops. My friend and I were there to chase waterfalls and were able to explore 3 state parks, all pretty close by: no more than a 40 min drive. We are already talking about staying here again! It really was perfect!

This was a fantastic rental that fulfilled our needs. A friend and I needed a place to rent for a weekend near Cookeville, and these accommodations were perfect. The place accommodated us, but it would also work very well for a couple or a small family. This place was above and beyond anything we would expect from a hotel, and we hope to use it again. Algood and Cookeville proper are just a few minutes' drive away, but it was very quiet and peaceful.

Visiting friends in Cookeville

The Milton Mountain Cottage was absolutely perfect for our trip to Cookeville to visit friends. The cottage was adorable, relaxing, so clean, and only 4 minutes from their house. We can’t wait for our next trip and will definitely be rebooking this cottage!

The best getaway! Our 3rd stay for a girls weekend and we will continue to come back every fall! The hosts have truly thought of everything you would need to stay in this cottage. We loved the new addition of the fire pit area out back. 10/10 recommend!

This is a nice little house with many upgrades and a lot of attention to detail. It was the perfect spot for an overnight and it had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend for as many as three or four people

The cottage was clean, with beautiful views of the outdoors. I truly enjoyed the peace, quiet, and comfort of the stay. Though nearby restaurants and shopping, the cottage feels like you are away from it all. I visited for work in the area and will absolutely request to book for all of my future visits!

modern, fun, thoughtfully furnished cabin. We stayed in the cabin over the weekend between camp drop offs nearby. We really enjoyed it the nature and green-ness around us, and there are also plenty of restaurants and stores just 10 minutes away.

Little Get-a-Way

Our family of 5 stayed here for a few days in the fall. It was perfect! Everything was clean and the natural light and decor within the home were amazing. We hiked several of the local falls and enjoyed our time unwinding. We will likely return!

Perfect getaway

This property was everything Plus more than we had expected. We use VRBO about 3-4 times each year. This was one of our favorite places so far! The location was close to everything but we felt like we’re away from it all. The house was very clean and we appreciated all the details . The coffee, hot cocoa, soft bath towels , blackout curtains , and firewood. We are hopeful to return this summer !

Just Splendid!

David thought about the fine details with this cottage! Everything about it is just perfect! My favorite part would be the floor to ceiling windows! My family needed this time to rejuvenate and that is exactly what we did! Something to note, Cookeville has an amazing 4th of July firework display! We will be returning!

Escape from Mardi Gras Madness

Lovely location outside of town. Modern farm decor. My husband & I travel to Europe quite often and found it much like their interiors. Bring your own firewood & starter, since weather can affect the cottage's stacked wood. All luxury amenities and dry spices are on hand. Beds are both standard memory foam and not as firm as older backs would prefer, but fine for travel accommodations. Great wrap around porch and Wifi is solid. Would definitely stay here again if in Cookeville area.

Cute Cottage

My husband and I were in the area to visit family who live about 20 minutes away. We really enjoyed the cottage. It was clean, the bed was comfortable and it was located in a safe area. As you travel the road to get to the cottage, there are really nice, large newer homes dotted along the way. Having two bathrooms was a big plus. ( We did not utilize the loft area at all as we did not need it. The stairs to go up are very steep and so we did not even go up to look.) We would definitely stay here again when in the area.
