The Parrot Nest is one of the Old-Sanibel cottages located on the quiet East End of the island. Since 1955, our charming cottages have been welcoming visitors and until the early 1960's they were brought to our shores from the mainland by ferryboat.
Our cottages are newly renovated in a coastal decor offering you epic comfort, relaxation in a beautiful room. We are within walking distance to the historic Sanibel Lighthouse and fishing pier, beautiful shelling beaches, shopping and restaurants.
If you like, use our complimentary bikes and explore miles of paths covering the island and leading to wildlife refuges, kayaking spots, secluded beaches, and meandering past more eateries, shops, and galleries. The Cockatoo cottage is a charming room with a king bed and new daybed ( twin ).

So quite easy to walk to ice cream shop and Wickies Lighthouse Restaurant. We love the layout and being able to set out back and look at the star. Free bike and cart for the beach. A

Not only was the room stocked with sll essentials, thete was a frying rack, umbrella, additional fan, etc. Outside you had grills, hammock, beach wagons, bicycles. All this, and only a short trek to the beach

Amazing experience

My fiancé and myself had an amazing time. We did a trip visiting multiple places from key west to Clearwater and having a room with a mini split a/c was the best. The room was extremely clean and had everything we needed. We really enjoyed taking the bikes out to the lighthouse and being in close proximity to all the restaurants and shops. I highly recommend any of the rooms offered at this location.

Great location with comfortable accomodations

We stayed for 4 nights and were there to go shelling on Sanibel Island. The location to Lighthouse Beach was amazing. It was easy to get all around the Islands. The king bed was comfortable while the day bed is a fold away-a little insecure for an adult. We put a suitcase under it for support to make sure we didn't break it. We will return to Parrot Cottages!

Quaint cottage

Sanibel cottage with quiet courtyard and access to a quiet beach a short walk away. Room newly remodeled, bright, beds comfy, clean. They have beach chairs, bikes, wagons available. Outdoor lawn furniture could be updated otherwise excellent.

Everything you need!

Love the low key, down to earth, non-pretentious vibes at this property. Feels like a Sanibel version of a quaint Northwoods cabin. Easy walk or bike to chill shops, restaurants and beaches. Nesting osprey in a tall tree above our unit, lots flowering plants and lizards around the perimeter. We plan to return and tell friends and family. :)

Not worth the money

We came back to find a strange man in our room looking under our bed! Claimed to be looking for broken bed!? Not a pleasant surprise . Not a single washing machine working. We were here 4 nights and were given 2 washcloths! Unreal! Can't even wash them because washers broken! Only 1 trash bag given too. No pans for use in the oven for baking, no knife to cut with etc. this was definately NOT worth the money paid and now you have the nerve to ask us to do your job? We will take care of what we need to but we will never be back .

Sanibel im Aug 24

Zweckmäßig und sauber - Strandstühle vorhanden, die Zusendung des Zugangscodes hätte gerne am Tag vorher erfolgen können und nicht erst am Ankunftstag - da unser Hotspot aufgrund der schlechten Netzverbindung in diesem Teil der Insel nicht funktionierte mussten wir erstmal ein Möglichkeit suchen - nach einer langen Anreise nicht so toll. Leider hatten wir Pech mit dem Tropensturm ein paar Tage vorher, so dass die naheliegenden Strände nicht passierbar waren. Fahrräder waren vorhanden stehen jedoch draußen, entsprechend sehen sie aus - Luft war in den Reifen, wir haben sie daher auch nutzen können. Sonst kann man sich den Aufenthalt sehr schön machen, sehr ruhig - grundsätzlich empfehlenswert.
