Loved the big lake view and star-filled night sky! The home is nicely appointed, the kitchen is well-equipped. Comfort, lighting and spaciousness are all terrific! Super comfortable for up to six adults!

Excellent last minute get-away for our family! Pics don’t do it justice. Great location on the water and the town of Algoma is very quaint and quiet. 30-60 minute drive to various towns along the door county peninsula making day trips easy.

Family Vacation

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Lakeview Chalet. It's conveniently located. The amenities within the home are great! Thank-you for being so generous with food stuffs and paper products. Not all hosts are as generous. The only down sides, the upstairs was really warm, but there is a ceiling fan and there weren't many teaspoons in the flatware drawer. Just a minor inconvenience.

Great place to stay

While the weather wasn't the best, we enjoyed the home very much. Many pool games were played in the evening. the owner responded quickly to any questions I had after we all arrived and I appreciated that very much. The house is cozy and warm. Loved having a bathroom on each level too. We would stay again.

Door County Get Away

We were looking for a base from which we could explore Door County but not get caught up in the crowds. This home was perfect for us. Lake View Chalet was wonderfully situated giving us a perfect view of Lake Michigan. Rustic, quiet, spotlessly clean and well appointed all made for a great cousins weekend. Thanks!!

Beautiful home, beautiful view, great location!

My family and I absolutely loved staying in this beautiful home! We enjoyed the view every moment we could during out stay. We saw deer in the yard several different days. At night, we had fun playing pool. The location is great! We drove to Sturgeon Bay a couple times, and it wasn't a bad drive at all. One of our favorite things was going to the beach, which was so close! We will definitely stay there again next chance we get!!

Relaxing and peaceful

We chose this property because of the gorgeous lake view and the consistent 5 star reviews. Our stay was rejuvenating and relaxing. We appreciated how clean and well stocked the home is and Karen's generous gift of wine! My husband enjoyed the pool table and we also enjoyed putting together a couple of the puzzles. Staying here was truly a joyful experience!

Relaxing retreat

Peaceful, tranquil, yet close to everything

The backyard of this home offers such a quiet, serene respite from busy life — what a beautiful, peaceful view! The house itself is deceivingly roomy! Plenty of space -indoors and out- for a family or small group of friends. Very clean with everything needed in a home-away-from-home. We enjoyed the town of Algoma - beach, brewery, winery, Ahnapee bike trail. We ventured further to some of the area’s other harbor towns - Sister Bay, Sturgeon Bay, Jackson’s Port, Bailey’s Harbor, Green Bay. In addition to bicycling, we did some hiking and kyaking, enjoyed a couple of outdoor concerts, and ate at some nice local restaurants. Every evening, we returned to this lovely house to sit on the back deck and watch the water and the boats go by. Every morning, we sat out again as a lovely start to our day. We are grateful for the opportunity to stay here as part of our Wisconsin vacation!

Wonderful property, host and location!

Property was amazing! Everything we needed was there and the view was as fantastic! The house was spotless and well cared for! We did venture in to Algoma but was also close to northern Door County to explore there as well! We look forward to booking our next visit there!!

Great view and wonderful homey touches

We had an amazing time at this beautiful lake front chalet. It was even prettier than the pictures. It was very well appointed and had everything we needed for our stay in the area. I can’t wait to rent here again.
