About this property
Classic Maine Cottage on Water's Edge
We purchased our dream property in May 2019 and have been hard at work making it perfect for our rentersj. We just started taking reservations on July 4th, 2019 and are excited to share our slice of heaven with you. Wake up to the call of the loons off the expansive back deck overlooking quaint Parker Pond. Updated, fido friendly, classic Maine Cottage just feet from the water's edge. Open dining/living room with a wall of windows overlooking the deck and water. Sit by the fire pit and roast marshmallows on warm summer nights or get cozy next to the indoor fireplace on cool nights. Kayak to the middle island or into Pleasant lake or launch your boat for water skiing or cruising around the lake. Front shallow beach area is perfect for families with little ones to keep an eye on.
***NEW*** After a small project became a much larger one, guests at The Fox Den will be met with a BRAND NEW updated kitchen with new refrigerator, microwave and we have added an oven, dishwasher and disposal. We have vaulted the ceilings in the kitchen giving an open feel and renovated the bathroom including a full-size shower. The bunk room has been transformed as well into a built-in loft sleeping space with queen daybed and twin trundle bed underneath. The cottage has received an exterior facelift as well with a new paint job that makes it the quintessential navy and white New England lake house. **Sorry - cats are not allowed as we have family members who are allergic**

This is our second time staying here and we hope it's not our last! Everything here is just perfect and we make some very special memories each time. Thank you!
Lovely, sunny and spacious home. Beautiful view of the lake with ample room to lounge on the dock, deck or shore area. The backyard is fenced in which was great for our dog. We Kayaked this beautiful calm lake. Neighbors are nice and it’s very quiet too. We will definitely return!
Had a wonderful stay at the Fox Den with my family. The location on the water was great, and my kids couldn't get enough of jumping off the dock. The house is set up great for inside and outside enjoyment and the view from deck is great.
We were lucky enough to stay at the Fox Den for our family vacation and it was amazing. The house is as beautiful as it looks in the pictures, the area is gorgeous, and the owner is awesome. We will definitely be back again.

Thank you so much for your kind words. We are thrilled you enjoyed your stay and look forward to hosting you again.
Eileen was absolutely amazing handling a mix up in cleaner scheduling. She was easy to communicate with and quickly remedied the mix up. Beautiful house that comfortably slept my grown children and grandkids, as well as our 2 family dogs. Outside set up was amazing - plenty to do and so nice to have our boat right on the dock!!! Can’t say enough how great this place is.
What an awesome property! The views of the lake are stunning and the property is so quiet and peaceful, not to mention close to restaurants and activities. The interior has been tastefully updated, yet still has that traditional Maine cabin vibe, with a wonderful wood burning fireplace and spacious master suite! In addition, the property is super clean from end to end, and Eileen was super responsive and on top of everything! We will definitely be back!

So glad you were enjoy our little slice of heaven!!
Came back to stay at this lovely property with family for a second time. Great spot for all ages - this time we had adults of various ages, 4yo, 8mo, and a dog. The sandy beach and convenient dock make outside time so easy and so enjoyable. Wish we could have stayed longer!
We had a wonderful time at the "Fox Den"!! Only wish was for time to slow down. The house had everything you may want in a vacation home! Thanks for a great expierence!
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Fox Den on Parker Pond. We swam, kayaked , fished, and relaxed! A couple of local hikes, and we hit Kindred Farms a few times, which did not disappoint. Best whoopie pies we've ever had. A great place to unwind and de-stress.
House was comfortable and well stocked. We had a great time relaxing on the porch, kayaking, and going on a few local hikes. Would absolutely stay here again!
The acorns falling from the oak trees also make the best kerplunk sounds when they hit the water.
This was our third time renting this property. Every time we arrive there is always some type of upgrade. NOT that it needs it. You can see and feel the pride of ownership that the host has. It checks every single box you could ever ask for in a lake front rental. My wife and family had another amazing time at this beautiful property. We are already planning for next year there, even though we haven’t even finished unpacking the truck from this vacation there!
My husband and our two small dogs loved the beautiful setting, peaceful neighborhood and very comfortable home. Everything we needed was there for us to enjoy and Eileen was super with the information she provided and her communication during our stay! Thank you!!

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and look forward to hosting you again.
Beautiful home with everything you need. Honestly, all you need is the view to lull you to relaxation. Plenty to do around the area but if you want to kayak, fish and read this is the place to do it. The hosts couldn't have been any nicer.
Property was as advertised very clean and nicely updated. Only negative feedback was mattress covers were stained and two main beds were not very comfortable. Overall the cottage was very tastefully done and very clean which was very important to us.
We entertained family and friends on wonderful Parker Pond. We are so glad that the Labradors let us come on vacation with them. We were again thrilled and impressed with the attention to detail by the host. Everything to make our stay totally enjoyable was anticipated. What a wonderful time.
This was our second stay at The Fox Den. Love this place. Fenced yard is a great plus with our two dogs. Had perfect weather for swimming and kayaking this year. Mayberry Hill and Jugtown forest are really close to hike with the dogs. Got breakfast and whoopie pies from Kindred Farms pretty much every day. The kitchen remodel made a great vacation spot even better. Can't wait to come back.

About the host
Hosted by Eileen Fox
Lake life holds many fond memories for our family. Mike grew up in Portland, ME and traveled to the lakes region with his grandparents as a child. Tooling around in his fishing troller and roasting marshmallows with the other kids at camp is a memory he wanted to pass on to our kids. Eileen grew up in Maryland and spent winter weekends skiing in Western Maryland and summers learning to waterski on Deep Creek Lake. After moving to Denver in 1996, we always dreamed of owning a lake house to pass on the traditions we held so dear in our hearts.
Why they chose this property
As soon as we stepped foot on the deck of The Fox Den we knew this was the property we had been searching for. The community feel of Parker Pond and proximity to all the Lakes Region has to offer made this the perfect spot to call our own. We knew this was where we wanted make memories as a family and to provide others with the opportunity to experience the magic of Parker Pond.
What makes this property unique
Watching the sun dance off the water and reflect on the ceiling of the living room in the morning is cathartic. Neighbors waving as they float by on kayaks and paddleboards enhances the community feel of the lake. Paddling over to the island and exploring the campsites and history of the Casco region will keep you coming back for more.
