Great spot for a big group!

We rented this cabin on the lake to host a bunch of guys for a weekend trip. The space was great and easily slept everyone. Plenty of space to lounge and hang out and have a great time. Would definitely recommend!

Great Big Family Lake Place

Spacious, clean, beautiful large cabin that pleased young and old in a 70 year range. Can’t imagine there are too many places that match these accommodations for huge families to sleep, eat and play. Owner was very helpful and delightful. Wished rental week did not start on a Friday. Prefer Sat to Sat.

Excellent get away for a large group

We had an amazing mini get away at Michelle's home. Home was large, with lots of rooms and beds. Huge great room for garthering, socializing, and eating meals.

Lovely home - bring extra bedding and towels

Pros: The house was very spacious for our family and had plenty of space to hang out. Plenty of beds and bathrooms and nice outdoor firepit. Cons: We had limited bath towels and only 1 kitchen towel for our entire 3 night stay. Bedding was limited as well, every bed had a sheet and 1 thin comforter. The house is connected to a resort and sits right next to the boat landing so there were vehicles coming and going right next to the deck, it wasn't much of a bother other than having strangers peaking over or staring. Not as private as the pictures show.

Awesome House!!

We rented this house for a bachelor party weekend and it did not disappoint. Tons of room for our group of guys to stay and sleep comfortably, and the spacious living room made for an excellent venue to watch the college basketball conference tournament games. We spent Saturday night at the resort bar rocking out to an awesome band. Great people, great bar. The weekend could not have gone much better. Michele was an excellent host, we will be coming back again!!

Amazing

This house was fantastic. We had girl's weekend here. All 8 of us got our own bed and had room to sit at the kitchen table and eat as well as relax in the living room to play games, listen to music and watch movies. The house is incredibly beautiful and comfortable. We took a 2 1/2 mile walk on the frozen lake and visited Trails End resort several times. The band on Saturday night was great. We had such a great time we hated to say goodbye, but there is always next year!

Father kids weekend.

6 of us dad took our oldest child up for a weekend of ice fishing and just hanging out. The kids all had a blast and so did the dads. I would recommend this beautiful place to everyone. Michelle and the staff at Trails End were great with the kids as they went in and out for popcorn and kiddie cocktails.

Pond hockey tourney!!!!!

First off, Michelle is an awesome lady. This home is absolutely beautiful and BIG!!!!!! We had 19 guys in the home and never felt cramped. It's so wide open that all of us got to hang out together in the large living room/kitchen/dining rooms. Her restaurant/lodge is also a fun place(about 300 steps f house:) ) We will definitely be back. The home and hospitality from Michele and her staff is top notch. Thank you

Great experience!

We rented this property for a bachelor party and were extremely impressed. There are plenty of beds and bathrooms, with a large kitchen and living room, and back yard and deck; definitely enough to host 15 people comfortably. The owner was very easy to work with and charged a very fair price. We were very happy to see there were plenty of supplies (garbage bags, coffee filters, grilling tools, etc.) that the owner definitely did not have to supply and could have easily been forgotten when packing for the trip. The back yard did not have the best shoreline, but the resort beach is a very short walk away. The living room has also been updated with a large HD TV since the pictures were taken for vrbo.com (as of Sept. 2013).

Perfect Spot in Many Ways

I cannot say enough great things about my experience at Michele's cabin. She was great to work with throughout the entire process. We had a guys trip in early February. The location on the lake is great. The pitctures don't do it enough justice. The cabin is 10 yards from the water. It is a couple minutes south of the casino and 10 min south of Hayward itself. The cabin has a ton of room. Multiple rooms, multiple beds. One of the perks is Michele's bar that is literally 200 yards away. There was a great live band and lots of people the night we were there. If you're planning a trip to the Hayward area with a group of people, her cabin is a can't miss. I would recommend it to any and/or everyone.

Meets and exceeds expectations...

Our group stayed at this home for the second time over the 4th of July week, 2011. We all enjoyed ourselves and had a great time as we always do at Trail's End. Michele is a kind and professional host who goes the extra mile to assure you are fully satisfied. The cabin was painted and updated since the last time we were there--it is spacious and able to accommodate many. The bay is perfect for water sports, hanging at the beach, walking, and taking in the vast beauty of the northwoods. Michele recently installed a gas pump which was very convenient to have right at our resort. The lodge is great and the bar has expanded nicely...the happy hour never disappoints and the live entertainment is great if you're in the mood. We tied our boat daily to the private pier and dock located close to the landing. I highly recommend this cabin...it promises a great vacation!

Hosted a mens golf outing at this beautiful lake home and it worked out wonderfully

I own a cabin on Lac Court Oreilles and was hosting 12 men for a golf outing. My place only sleeps 5 so we needed a place for the other 7. We tried the casino hotel but it was booked. Lucky for us cause Michele's place is much better. Every one of the guys said they wanted to come back there next year. It was clean, comfortable, great beds and plenty of room. We all took the short stroll to Trails End lodge for outstanding burgers, fries, popcorn and beer and enjoyed listening to the live music. After that, it was only a 10 minute drive to the casino. Perfect ending to a day with 36 holes of golf. Michele was a great hostess. If you need to house and feed a group....check this place out.

Greetings from Hayward, WI. My name is Michele Horman and I own this house, which is adjacent to Trails End Resort, which I also own. I have been the owner of Trails End since 1986, and it has been in the same family since 1969. The house has plenty of privacy for those wishing to be by themselves, but also offers many resort amenities. The 'lodge' is our bar/restaurant featuring a beautiful renovated A-frame serving a light sandwich menu and snacks. We have live music every Saturday night and Karaoke most Friday nights. New for 2011: a gas pump available from the pier. This will be the only place to get gas on the lake!
