Lots of room!
We loved our time at catfish cove! House was great. Just as described. Our family loved it! Dock was a really great plus! I hope we can go back again next year!
Great home with nice dock and plenty of room!
Nice spacious home with very nice dock for boaters. Only knock is that it's a little bit outdated but would definitely come back!
Very nice property. It was better than we expected.
We had a great vacation. The property was well maintained and had plenty of room. Kitchen was well stocked. Would definitely recommend it.
A great place for our first family vacation!
What a wonderful experience for our first family vacation! The house was clean and comfy. Plenty of room & beds for 11 adults/8 kids. Kitchen had everything you could think of that you would need..except food, of course. It was quiet and on a dead end street. All the kids loved the flashlight walks at night and star gazing..we saw the Milky Way one eve. The air was fresh and clean and the sky clear. We LOVED the screened-in porches and had ping-pong tournaments after the kids were all in bed..it is a new tradition we will carry on in future trips. Fishing was ok off the dock but may be better if you rented a boat but we DID catch a catfish. The water was super low in Sept of 2016 so we were able to swim across the lake to the beachy side to walk and search for shells. The dock doesn't have a lot of room for lounging but we took our own giant family raft which we teathered to the dock and floated out to a better swimming section. The walk down to the lake was challenging but we made the best of it..get out those step trackers! The fire pit was closer to the lake so it was a little bit of a trek but our hot dog roast was a success! There wasnt any mosquito problem at all..which was super nice. The play set for the kids was nice but there was lots of stuff to do so it was barely used. Some of the group ventured to the Buffalo driving park/preserve and were amazed at how close they get to your car. We had a little air conditioning issue for the lower half of the house the last night but we survived..Jaime and her husband were attentative and very nice. Listen..it's a beautiful home and we are spoiled....it didnt hurt any of is to rough out the one night of little air conditioning. The town of Cadiz (pronounced Kay-diz) is lovely and the grocery and dollar stores have all your food needs. Great pizza place too which will deliver if you want a no cooking night..they have a super size pizza too..giant! But my FAVORITE place of all was Hilltop grocery/auto/bait/pet the dog store..its rustic but has everything you may need from ping pong to fishing to bait. If you cant find what you are looking for in town..go to Hilltop! Our family has talked about our trip for months and hopefully they will for years after my husband and I are gone. Our goal was to make some great memories for our blended family and we surpassed it in leaps and bounds. Btw..the painting in the LR was fun..no big deal..you can pull down the blinds..it was a topic of conversation.
Beautiful home with lots of room for everyone but be aware of the steps leading down to the lake.
We just returned from our week long stay at Catfish Cove and the home is truly a treasure. Six lovely bedrooms and 4 bathrooms was just right for our group of 12. I don't think there was anything that we needed/wanted that was not furnished AND the Bunn Ice Tea Maker was wonderful. The location is quiet and we saw a mother doe and her twin fawns feeding outside the house. There are 2 screened in porches and a wonderful swing set that our younger grandchildren enjoyed. The only tricky thing is navigating the 100 steps leading down to the covered 2 slip dock. The steps are made of wood and do not set level with the ground so you need to watch your footing and they become slippery after a rain. We had 2 slips during the week. That being said: Catfish Cove served us well! A big Thank You to Jayme, our contact for the week: quick responses to all of our questions.
