Beautiful house with very comfortable and functional space. One of the best located houses on the mountain. The host was very helpful although we had no issues the entire stay. We’ve stayed in several houses at Big Sky and this was our favorite - we hope to come back.

The Most Perfect Home For Our Family Vacation!

Our beautiful ski out/ski in house was so perfect for our ski-loving family! Two living areas had walls of sliding glass doors that brought the outside beauty inside. All skiers hopped off of the slopes at lunchtime for warming and enjoying lunch around the fireplaces. Then time for boots, helmets and gear to go back on to head to their afternoon slopes. The home is beautiful, beautifully decorated with lots of room for fun and relaxation! The host was wonderful in the planning ou our trip after the. house was rented. He directed us to grocery delivery, ski delivery, and a wonderful in-house chef for dinners.The house was immaculate, all amenities for each part of the house, and it is truly beautiful and well managed!!

Best Ski House ever!!

The house is magnificent!! Great ski in and ski out!! We were able to come home for lunch every day with ease!! The kitchen is top of the line and we cooked in almost every night!! And the beautiful dining room table seats 14!! The 3 stories and beds for 17 gave everyone plenty of space!! We loved the large hot tub out front and enjoyed watching the last skiers and sunset nightly!! We also enjoyed playing pool in the pool room and watching movies in the theater room! Maurisz made himself very accessible for any questions or problems!! We would like to move in permanently!! Thanks for a fabulous New Years 2018 Week Blue Moon Chalet!!

Phenomenal family vacation destination!

The Blue Moon Chalet far exceeded our high expectations. The pictures and description are terrific, but the house is so much better than advertised! It had everything we needed and more for our family vacation of 13 adults. We enjoyed the stunning views and took advantage of the comfortable bedrooms, great bathrooms, pool table, hot tub, grill, multiple decks, ample storage areas, laundry facilities... The kitchen was really well equipped, and allowed us to enjoy preparing and sharing some great family dinners together. One of our favorite things - enjoying a cold drink in the hot tub after a challenging hike, as the sun goes down and the stars come out. In addition, Mariusz also exceeded expectations. He was helpful leading up to our visit, giving us good ideas and information, but he was even better to deal with while we were there. In addition to greeting us with a warm welcome, he reacted quickly to a minor issue and alerted us to some wildlife viewing opportunities. We've rented several vacation homes in the past, and have never been treated as well as Mariusz treated us. Big Sky is our family's favorite vacation destination with amazing scenery and a lack of congestion. Our group enjoyed wildlife viewing (we saw bear, moose, elk, deer and big horn sheep), stargazing, breathtaking hikes for all skill levels, fun activities in town, cool bars and restaurants, fly fishing, mountain biking, golf, close proximity to Yellowstone... Bozeman itself is great to visit - the airport is easy and efficient, there are plenty of shops and restaurants to enjoy, they have the big stores you need to stock up, and the drive to Big Sky along the Gallatin River is stunning. We can't wait to return to Big Sky and the Blue Moon Chalet in the future. Thanks Mariusz!

Absolutely Perfect! Wish We were still there

This house was perfect for our family of 16; 8 adults and 8 kids. Two children were under two and they supplied baby gate, pack and play, high chair etc; which made it easier on us not having to travel with all the baby stuff! The views In the front and back of the house are amazing. Older kids were able to enjoy playing in the back yard, the owners have two hammocks and a hot tub on the back deck which we all enjoyed relaxing in and taking in the view of lone mountain. Big sky is spread out in the sense that you are not walking to shops, restaurants, with this said the location of the home is perfect, giving you the “in the mountains feel” and close enough to everything! The home is stocked with coffee filters, paper towels, toilet paper, laundry detergent, soap, spices; most are probably replenished by guests so no need to be concerned with these items on your first day of vacation (although you will need at some point). There is plenty of room for a large family to spread out and have alone time or come together comfortably. With the multiple levels this worked so well for our family and would work really well for a group of friends also. Overall we have nothing but great things to say about the house and big sky, a wonderful experience our family will be talking about for years. This place is a must see and should be on the top of everyone’s travel list! The owner of the home was very responsive and all that was promised was delivered!! Perfect place to stay

July 2018 Blue Moon Chalet is a great house. In our group there were 14, ages 5 months to 83. All the needs of all were met Everything is provided. If you need something,Mariuz,the property manager will bring it right over. The views are fabulous. Our group particularly enjoyed the hiking followed by the hot tub,sitting on the deck, and playing pool. We had a great time celebrating our 60th wedding anniversary with the family. unbelievable location, great management, perfect house

This was first trip to Big Sky, and most definitely not the last. Primary objective booking a house was ski-in-ski-out. This house is literally 12 inches from groomed run. Not a catwalk, but actual ski run. The house is perfectly situated for access to all parts of Big Sky. Could return to the house from at least 5 different lifts in <5 minute ski. Very easy to come in for lunch or a hot chocolate break. We had private lessons for a few days for the kids, and after initial sign up at mountain village, the ski instructor brought the kids back to the house at end of the day and following day skied to the house to meet the kids at 9:10. Literally put skies on at back door and started lesson. The ski boot warmer is 4 feet from the groomed run. After skiing for 6 days, I don't think I saw any house with closer access. 2 Car garage kept both of our cars warm at night. Property manager was out personally blowing the back deck after every snow. He was also available when our vehicle was stuck on ice when we visited a friend further down the mountain. Property manager responded unbelievably quick to all questions and request. He is very friendly and available. The house is very comfortable. We had 2 families. 4 adults and 4 kids. For some odd reason the kids chose to sleep in the bunk/media room together, so we had several unoccupied bedrooms. The house can handle the crowd. 2 dishwashers and 2 washer/dryer is great. The house is not overdecorated. It has everything you need and nothing you don't. If you are looking for top end decorated, elegant bed spreads, and beautiful throw pillows, you may be disappointed. For us the house was perfect. Yes the internet is slow and you can't have 10 devices streaming netflix at the same time. Perfect excuse to disconnect the kids from the devices and have them build snow forts in the woods across the blue moon ski run. Our kids built forts that could hold 4 kids under the snow. They did not start the forts until last 3 nights, only regret was not disconnecting the kids from the devices earlier in the week after skiing. Being able to walk to the moonlight lodge for dinner was also a blast. Pour a roadie and walk down Blue Moon ski run to dinner. The kids sledded to dinner. Great trip. 5 stars. Thanks for sharing the house.

Best Ski-in/out! Wonderful house for 3 families!!

Blue Moon Chalet exceeded all of our expectations! You step off of the porch and you are on the slope. The best ski-in/out location we have had in 12 years of skiing. The house is lovely and comfortable, very nice art collection. The 3 king master bedroom suites were perfect for our 3 families plus young adult children. The dining room became our card game parlor. We were able to seat 12 at the kitchen table. Mariusz, the property manager, was very helpful, kind and responsive. It snowed 30 inches during our Christmas stay. The chef at Hungry Moose prepared some great meals for us....just heat and serve. It was easy to ski in for lunch and eat left overs from the previous evening. You must try the fried chicken at Gallatin Riverhouse Grill, also famous for it's BBQ....one of our favorite meals. I would get some BBQ to go for the next day's lunch. Buck's T-4 is a classic steakhouse, try the bison. We hope to stay at Blue Moon Chalet again. Montana - the last best place!!!!

WOW! Just WOW!!!

Our experience at Blue Moon Chalet in Big Sky greatly exceeded our expectations! We were a multi-generational party of 14 ranging in age from 20 months to 78 years! The layout of this beautiful home was perfect as each family had his own LARGE bedroom and bath. The beds were so comfortable! Noise was never an issue and we had 4 little ones 5 or under! Our three teens/tweens loved having the bunk room! The views from each window were unbelievable and we often enjoyed wildlife (elk and deer) in the yard early mornings and late evenings. The kitchen was FULLY stocked with every cooking utensil you would want and was huge so everyone could enjoy participating in meal prep! We spent a lot of time on the back deck enjoying the hot tub and the large gas grill. The property manager, Mariusz, was so helpful and attentive. He supplied us with a Pack and Play, high chair seat and a baby gate! Mariusz made several suggestions for restaurants, spa services and entertainment- all of which were excellent. We had one very minor plumbing issue and Mariusz was there to remedy it within minutes. If there were a way to give this property more than 5 stars, I would definitely do it!! Our family had an awesome time in the Big Sky area and staying at Blue Moon Chalet!

Yellowstone Family Vacation

We had a large family group age 62 to 6 and we rented adjoining properties as the base for our Yellostone Family Vacation. Blue Moon was perfect for our large group! The kids enjoyed the bunk room/theater room and the adults enjoyed having private bedrooms each with it's own bath. The two dining areas had seating for everyone. The kitchen was spacious and well equipped. We prepared most of our meals at the house and made good use of the two dishwashers. Mariusz, the property manager, welcomed us to the home and gave us a quick tour of the features. He was always available to answer questions. When we had a problem with a GFI outlet in one of the bathrooms, we told Mariusz and he had an electrician there the next day to fix the outlet. He even loaned us an outdoor game for the kids to play! The house is laid out perfectly for a large group. There is a comfy living room, game room and multiple outdoor decks. We made use of the hot tub and BBQ grill and set up a game of horseshoes at the back of the house. The best part of the home was the amazing views and watching the wildlife. We saw deer, chipmunks, and a fox. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone planning a visit to Big Sky!

Best location at Big Sky and a great mountain!

We travel extensively as a family and alternate ski trips between Vail and other destinations. This was our first trip to Big Sky and could become our new focal point! The review title is an inside joke. Mariusz, with High Altidude Property Managment said this while giving us a tour of the home. I chuckled because everyone says this but when you walk 5 steps from your door to step into your ski bindings your pretty sure it's the truth. The home is very nice, lots of room for everyone. Viking range, dedicated wine fridge, separate ice maker, hot tub, great boot dryer, quality cookware, two dishwashers, two washer/dryer units, pool table etc.. This is a home not a rental unit. Big Sky is beautiful! We have skiers from expert to beginner and nobody could ski much of their terrain in one week. The only downside might be the slightly slower lifts. But when you never stand in line a few extra minutes on the lift is welcome. Big Sky is more laid back and has a much smaller village than most ski areas, but great food, skiing and people.

Annual trip with friends

We were a large group of friends on an annual trip (four families with a total of eight children) The house was big enough for all of us, had all amenities we could think of, and the best location on the mountain! The rooms were tastefully decorated with modern fixtures and appliances, sparkling clean and with gorgeous views all around. The kitchen was equipped beyond our expectations ( thank you for thinking to put 2 dishwashers and a huge oven for the cooks and their helpers ;) The separate dining areas were greatly appreciated, as our enthusiastic kids would spill over their joy in a different area The xlarge hot tub was thoroughly enjoyed by all after long hikes in your beautiful mountains Our host was extremely welcoming and helpful, thank you! We are all already talking about a dream winter vacation in the same place, where you step off the deck and you start skiing!

Ideal spot for a family reunion and vacation

The home was great for us! We have rented similar places in many parts of the country for our annual family get together. The special things about this one were, 1) Four of the bedrooms were truly master suites in that they had their own full bathrooms. 2) Our four granddaughters (ages 8 - 12) thought they were in heaven in the room with two bunk beds which also had a huge TV screen and lounging couch where they watched Harry Potter movies every free moment. 3) The kitchen and eating areas served us beautifully (and would have accommodated even more than our 15 people). 4) The home was beautiful and so was the setting. 5) We were close to so many great things to do. We spent two wonderful days in Yellowstone National Park. The first day we did the loop which included Old Faithful and the second day we did the northern loop. Both were marvelous. All 15 of us went white water rafting, and that was our favorite day. Many of us had done this one or more places before, but this was our favorite. We hiked a lot, and there were hikes good for our novices (and old folks) and for our real fitness buffs. Some enjoyed horseback riding and some enjoyed a pond/lake where they rented kayaks, canoes, and other equipment. The hot tub was popular, as was sitting around the table playing games at night. All in all, it was a wonderful setting and a wonderful vacation.

Location location location!!!

I knew that this home was next to a ski run but that's an understatement. Nothing like sitting in the main room or the hot tub on the back deck and watching skiers who are 10 yards away. It was fun to finish everyday by snowboarding down the Blue Moon run right onto the deck next to the hot tub. All the bedrooms have very comfortable beds with phenomenal views of the Spanish Peaks. Kitchen was as great as stated. With 14 people we had plenty of storage for food and drinks. Concierge service is top notch. I emailed the owner numerous times before our trip and he was always helpful and prompt. The heated floors upon awaken were also great. If I had to complain about something it'd be that I wish that there was a flat screen TV in the billards room, second large couch in the main room and more coffee mugs (we all drank coffee in the AM and hot chocolate when off the mountain). These were minor issues and didn't detract from the great time that we had. Can't wait to go back again.

Ski in/out superb family home

8 adults 9 children- ages 2 to 70 had a fabulous time at this warm, spacious, well equipped home. All amenities available. Cooperative owners. Property manager next door. Skiing was great and location of the house made it easy for all ski levels and needs to be met.Easy for a day trip to West Yellowstone which is an educational, fun trip.

We had a fabulous family trip to this home. Everyone (from 2 y.o to 70 y.o) truly enjoyed the home, ski areas and care by the owners as well as the manager of the house. We would recommend this home for any season.

Stayed at Blue Moon Chale...

Stayed at Blue Moon Chalet in mid-August 2009. Beautiful home in beautiful surroundings. Owner most helpful. We saw lots of wildlife - a moose, bear, foxes, etc. Because of the wet summer, the wildflowers were spectacular. We hiked, golfed, went horseback riding and went up the ski lift. We hope to return soon.

We recently returned from...

We recently returned from a week long stay at the Blue Moon Chalet. We had a group of 19 people (5 families)and had a wonderful time in Big Sky. The house is great! It worked well for us as there are 5 bedrooms with either queen or king beds, and 5 full bathrooms (plus the half bath off the kitchen), so each family had their own space. The beds are very comfortable and the linens/bedding very nice. There are beautiful views of the surrounding mountains from all the rooms of the house. Kitchen is well stocked with everything you need for cooking. The 2 dishwahers come in handy if you have a large group. Hot tub out on deck was enjoyable on the cool summer nights. We saw lots of wildlife either right there on the property or in the area including deer, fox, moose,marmot and bear. Activities we enjoyed were rafting on the Gallatin River, mountain biking, hiking, horseback riding and a day trip to Yellowstone. Management co.responded quickly when we did need assistance with a plumbing issue. Owners are also very helpful with any questions. Would love to return again to the Blue Moon Chalet!
