'You have to see it to believe it. Wareloch is one of the few places on earth where you can experience uninterrupted views of land and sea, not a neighbor in sight. Gorgeous spot, lovely home, gracious host. Pure paradise!' Previous Guest's Comment
Wareloch is one of the few remaining places where you can enjoy sweeping, uninterrupted views of the Ware River and Mobjack Bay – an arm of the Chesapeake Bay. Wareloch is on a natural inlet between two coves with beautiful private, secluded beaches.
Children can enjoy a swim in the river, build a sandcastle or play hide-and-seek in the boxwood gardens. Adults can relax by the water – a good read in one hand and a favorite beverage in the other. Animal watchers can observe such wildlife paradise as ospreys, snowy egrets, blue herons, bald eagles, great horned owls, wild turkeys, white-tail deer and more. Or you can kayak along the shoreline, soak up the sun on the private beaches, or find your own peaceful spot at a scenic paradise we call Wareloch.
Wareloch is the perfect spot to host family and friends for the holidays or anytime you want to gather at one place. The kitchen is fully stocked and the dining room can seat 10-12 guests. This 3,900-square-foot home has 12 rooms featuring 4 bedrooms (1 king, 1 double, 2 twins, 2 twins & a futon), 2 ½ baths, formal living room, dining room, den (sofa bed), library (sofa bed), music room, breakfast room, kitchen, butler’s pantry and screened porch. The kitchen features new cabinets, countertops and appliances. Whether you come with family or friends, you will find Wareloch is an unbelievable place that will beckon you back year after year. We are happy to answer any questions and help you plan your perfect vacation getaway!

Born and raised in Gloucester. Attended the University of Virginia for my undergraduate degree and the College of William and Mary for my M.B.A. I reside in Williamsburg full-time with my family and pets. I teach as an adjunct professor of Economics for Thomas Nelson Community College. The rest of my time I spend volunteering at my daughters' elementary school and maintaining Wareloch! I am happy to help you plan your perfect getaway to the Tidewater area!!
Paula purchased this House in 2006
Why Paula chose Ware
I grew up in Gloucester. When my uncle passed he left me his beautiful home on the water. I spent many hours as a child on the beach and playing in the woods here.
What makes this House unique
For me Wareloch is the perfect getaway spot, I love the tranquility and peacefulness here. Whether I am enjoying the view by the water or taking a walk through the woods, it is a place that rejuvenates the soul.

Feels like home
Large house that is well furnished. The view of the river is beautifull. We had a fire every evening. It was a great family get together. John & Margaret Ferrell
I'm delighted you enjoyed your stay. I hope you will consider Wareloch your home away from home and come again!
we have spent 4 days Wareloch, we were 9 in the house; we have enjoyed the waterfront, canoing every day, the sunrise, reading in front of the sea, playing the piano ; very restful and peaceful place; it was a wonderful place to spend time together
Charming and spacious home for all ages!
Our family was completely enchanted with this home! An easy drive from Busch Gardens, we spent our days crabbing, reading and sitting on the pier. We definitely plan to return!

Thanks, Paula, for making your beautiful house available to us for our family vacation. The sunrise alone made it worthwhile. Drinking our coffee out on the dock watching the sunrise was so peaceful I never wanted to leave there. I would highly recommend your place to anyone.
All is right with the world when you are witnessing a beautiful sunrise over the water with a good cup of Joe in your hand. So glad you enjoyed Wareloch. Hope you come back again soon. Paula
