Hello! A little bit about us. We are in our early thirties and have two beautiful children. We are true water lovers! We also love Real-Estate and have 2 houses on VRBO. We love the beach, boating, the mountains, spending time with family and all things nautical. We take great pride in our rental homes. We put a lot of thought into our rental homes, to ensure it provides you with a vacation to remember. We think of things that are important to us when we choose a vacation home. A few that come to mind are comfortable beds, nice sheets, fully stocked kitchen, clean, nicely decorated and very welcoming. We feel we have provided this for our guest! We hope you will enjoy your stay and return again.
Loved the home
My husband and I enjoyed our week at the shore in this lovely home.
The location of this home is remote, but that was what we were looking for. When we went, there were only a few neighbors in the homes around us, so it was a quiet, peaceful weekend. We saw a bald eagle's nest from the driveway of the house. There was an active pair in the nest, so that was amazing! We took advantage of the kayaks and gas grill. The beds were comfortable and the home was large enough for 4. I think 8 people would be tight to fit into the common areas. The porch on the back was lovely! It didn't matter that it was rainy because we could sit on the porch and enjoy the outdoors. There are a few restaurants and shops in Gloucester Courthouse, so the option to go out to eat is there. On the downside, the floor in the living room and into the master was buckling, and the door did not shut properly. An older person may have tripped or stumbled there. The gas grill was not very clean, so we had to clean it quite a bit before use. Some of the dishes were dirty when we arrived which seemed odd considering there is a $65 fee if all dishes are not cleaned and put away at check-out. Overall, this is a good place to stay for a fair price.
The initial drive out to the property was a little daunting as it seems you are driving forever but once you get to the house and property, you realize the drive was worth it! The house was extremely clean and decorated very cute. It had just about everything we needed except for laundry soap, trash bags, bath soap, shampoo and a blow dryer. You are just steps from the river with a small beach to play on and kayaks to use. We even saw dolphins! My family had a wonderful time and we would definitely go back and highly recommend this property. The only con we had other than the few missing amenities was there were dozens of gnats in the kitchen. We sprayed them with Off and lite candles and by the third night, they were almost gone.
We had a 4 days/3 nights stay and it was too short! I love the privacy/peaceful of this place gave us (lots of happiness); plus the kayaks and paddleboard make this place our future vacation destination next year, but longer. The house is perfect and didn't feel too small. And the screened porch overlooking the water is the highlight...great view of the sunrise. A little advice is to bring some strong mosquito/horse fly repellent. They come out around 6 pm until 9 am. And the location of the house is a little tricky to find.
Absolutely loved everything about this vacation home. Beautifully decorated, super clean, stocked with whatever a family may need. Location is private with access to the water but not far from civilization if you need to restock groceries. Spent the weekend kayaking, cooking-out and hanging-out on screened back porch. Ashley was a breeze with which to work, kind, and generous. Lovely all around!
