About Shannon French
When I was 27 years old, I decided to sell real estate. Shortly after at the age of 29, I decided to open my own brokerage, Southern Trade Realty (Oct. 2006 so you do the math to see how old I am now)! I quickly learned to combine my passion for designing, creating and decorating to another level. I started to invest in real estate at a very young age, and I am still very passionate about it. I really enjoy getting to know my guests and proud to say I now have repeat business. I concentrate on making sure my guests are happy and I take pride in the comfort of my properties and of course, the decor has to be just right. Feel free to call me Shannon 804-815-1912.

Why Shannon French chose Ware
This area is where I personally grew up. I remember the days on the river at a very young age. I fished, crabbed, learned how to swim, relax, kayak, explore and I am still enjoying all of this today with my family and friends.
What makes this Cottage unique
Pictures cannot even describe this property (many of our guests say this once they arrive). It is one of the most serene places to be. Listening to the waves crash up against the rocks at night, taking a nap in the hammock on a warm summer afternoon, to watching the Osprey on the river, there is not a better place to enjoy nature at it's best. It is all at your fingertips.

Gorgeous spot on the Water!
This was a beautiful piece of property and the breezes on a warm day were lovely. Loved the private dock and used the hot tub and bikes and corn hole game! Only wish we had longer to enjoy the property, beach area and overall peaceful place. Our schedule was busy with touristy attractions and the Williamsburg area is good 45 mins and $2 toll over bridge each trip. The day trips were longer in car than we'd like but expected that and it was what we wanted to get the comfort of a clean home that fit my family of five and the water views and yard to enjoy!! The new Yorktown American history museum was very well done...plan 3 hrs. Recommendation to all visitors, bring ur own beach towels, laundry detergent, soap for showers, shampoo, dish detergent. I've come to expect those things in a vrbo and Airbnb rental, but they were lacking in this home. Bonus: new couches and rugs arrived during our stay and it was nice to have first use!! Tasteful decor and well furnished!
Beautiful, secluded and quiet, romantic!
The cottage and amenities were amazing. We particularly enjoyed the view, the hot tub, the luxurious master bath, and the well equipped kitchen. This a great spot if you want to get away from it all and reconnect. The kayaks and the beach/dock are also quite nice. I would recommend picking up your sundries for the week on your way because you will not want to leave :-) Shannon was a great hostess and very responsive! We will be back. It really felt like we were spoiling ourselves.
The house was as described and we were very happy. The views were beautiful from each window. Sunrise and sunset were enjoyed daily! Very well appointed kitchen. Master bed and bath were huge. 2nd bedroom a bit small. Beds were very comfortable. Would return just for the peace and quiet!!
Beautiful view, very clean, modern amenities, loved our stay here.
Awesome place, incredible views of sunsets, sunrises in the Ware River. Only drawbacks were fireplace and upstairs tv were not working. Would definitely come back.
My husband and I were able to escape on our honeymoon for only a couple of days, but we both absolutely loved this waterfront paradise. The views are stunning, the house is nicely decorated, extremely comfortable. The kitchen setting is beautiful and overlooks the water. The jacuzzi tub outside is positioned just right to give you privacy and still an amazing view of the water. Every detail was just right, even the fully stocked cupboards and the gas fireplace in the living room. I cannot wait to return!

Wonderful views and this home is a place to "Relax, refresh, renew".
We rented in the fall, during some chilly weather, so we couldn't use the canoe or kayaks.
We're sure the summer months would be ideal to take advantage of the water right in front of the home.
We would have given this home 5 stars if it wasn't for the long delay in the return of our damage deposit. It was 16 days after we left that we finally received it. Renter beware!
That is this property's policy.
