About this property

ADU Piedmont side of Montclair

This architecturally designed ADU is located on the Piedmont side of Montclair. Conveniently located in a woodland setting, it is close to public transportation and an easy walk to Montclair Village shops, banks, and restaurants. This unique unit includes heating and air conditioning and Miele washer and dryer. The gourmet kitchen is equipped with a Bosch appliances --dishwasher, gas range, microwave, disposal, refrigerator. There is a dedicated WiFi access point in the ADU, with a Gigabit fiber Internet backbone. The Internet is high speed wired and wireless. There is no TV, but bring your own streaming device and connect to the Internet to watch your favorite TV shows and movies.

Fabulous place! Gail and Greg were welcoming, kind, and very responsive. I thoroughly enjoyed my 8-night stay in their modern ADU which is situated in the beautiful hills of Oakland's Montclair neighborhood. The ADU is generously resourced and offers a tranquil, very clean, and cozy place to land. Montclair Village (with restaurants, groceries, and shops) is only a 5-minute walk down the hill and there is easy freeway access. I would happily stay here again!

Beautiful neighborhood/great location

This ADU is in the owners beautiful expansive back yard and is walking distance from Montclair village. The ADU had a great layout and felt very open and roomy. The hosts thought of everything we could have needed and more. This was probably the best vrbo/rental we have ever stayed in.

One of our favorite vacation rentals ever.

This aesthetically pleasing, contemporary design has many unique features which are delightful. Fixtures, furniture, linens, and well-stocked kitchen are high-end; the unit is bright and sunny with easy access to two outdoor spaces; the private back patio has smart shades and a large slider easily linking indoor and outdoor spaces. Despite being a studio, the bedroom area is quite private due to the clever architectural design. And the large walk-in shower is phenomenal! We would definitely stay here again!

The family was very nice and flexible. Communication was quick. The unit was well stocked and they left a cinnamon bread treat. Nice private view from unit. You do have to walk thru backyard to get to unit but we loved it overall. The unit was brand new, and clean. Will stay there again.
