The Beach House was very dated. The inside of the house is so dark that you need the lights on 24 hours a day. This property needs to be updated.

On the Beach

This place is very private with lots of mature trees and other flora. The beach is only 15 meters from the deck and sandy right up to the house. It was wonderful listening to the waves and there were breezes every day and night to cool things down. The road noise is loud but we got used to it. There are restaurants, a grocery store and other amenities within walking distance. The lagoon was not easily accessible to put the kayak in. The bikes are old, but they do work and made it easier getting to the store for groceries and site seeing in the area

Rustic & Private

We have been staying at Ocean's Edge for over 7 years now. We love renting the Blue Tang (Road House) as it feels private, has a kitchen and grill and you can step out of the house and onto the beach. This property is amazing if you are not looking for daily housekeeping and are looking for a place that is your next home away from home. Although there is no AC, there are multiple fans to keep the air moving, making it comfortable for my husband and I. Having the palapas on the beach and the dock is fantastic for shade, hanging out or to do some dock fishing while watching the unBelizeable sunrises. If you are not looking to cook for yourself, it is next to one of the best restaurants in all of Belize (Maya Beach Bistro). We always look forward to coming back to OE!

Tropical Paradise

The shining star of this house is the front yard, directly in the beach with a private dock leading to a palapa over the water. The house is comfortable with lots of ceiling fans. Easy walking distance to a couple of good restaurants. Vacasa is great as the property manager. Makes it so easy when you have any questions or need help.
