Our impression of this property was that it was well kept, very clean, with modern updates. We enjoyed dinner on the backyard deck, as well as relaxing on the front porch in the evening.
The property was very nice and clean
The property provided everything needed for a weeks stay. The back deck provided a grill. Easy walking distance to a pizza/sub takeout. EASY drive to the local resturant. Only 35 minute drive to Colonial Beach. The Beaches and restaurants in Colonial Brach were rrally ni e
.
The property was ideally located to visit several Civil War sites especially Fredericksburg.
Tim’s II is a great restaurant located within walking distance

Fine stay.
This is a fine property in an OK location, I’m sure it’s better in the summer season. Very isolated location w only two options for food (three in-season): a pizza/sub place that’s fairly good and Tim’s on the River which isn’t worth the money. The place itself is fine, newly renovated with some essentials stocked.
The communication with the property manager wasn’t great. We did lose power for a week and had to relocate during this time, paying for an additional rental place. We asked if we could check-out early and receive some compensation as a result of relocating for that week and never received a response.

Clean, well equipped home
Convenient location for Fredericksburg and King George. Property was as advertised. No property info in the house ( i.e. wifi, t.v. instructions, check out requirements) We punted, and figured it out.
Nice, rather welcoming community. Home was updated and cozy. Small backyard that is perfect for your furry companion to play or do their business. About 25 minutes to stores, gas stations, etc. Communication with owner was through VRBO and text. Owner responded in reasonable amount of time and appeared to be easy going. Would definitely put this on a return trip list!
Perfect small beach house with all you need for the location!
Very clean, has everything you need to cook, relax and enjoy a golf cart ride too! Yes, it’s remote but was perfect for our need to visit our new grand baby in King George. We love the small community and everyone we met was very friendly. Enjoyed our morning coffees walking by the water! Will book again!
We enjoyed a cold and rainy Memorial Day weekend trip to Fairview Beach. The golf cart made it fun and easy to explore the neighborhood (we preferred Rick’s to Tim’s and we were underwhelmed by options at The Shore Store; the pizza place was fine). With the bad weather we spent more time in Fredericksburg than anticipated, which became a highlight of our trip. I think the VRBO listing could be tweaked - there are two bedrooms, not three; and there weren’t any beach towels. We found the beds to be uncomfortable but overall this was a great value.
My boyfriend and I stayed here to work remotely for a week, just to get a change of scenery. We loved it! The river is a short walk away and offers great views, and we loved using the golf cart every night to enjoy the sunset. We were a short drive from Fredericksburg, a super cute town with great places to eat and shop, and about an hour from DC. Very clean, comfortable, and a great stay overall!
Lovely Quiet Property Near Fairview Beach, Virginia
Beautiful well-kept property in a quiet neighborhood just steps away for Fairview Beach, Virginia. The deck in the rear of the property was great to sit and have morning coffee and/or enjoy a meal in private. We really appreciated having multiple TV’s to accommodate different viewing needs. There are two restaurants close by on the waterfront Tim’s and Rick’s. Stop by The Shore Store and see what they have cooking up for the weekend. They had just made fresh chicken pot pies during our visit. The property is about 20 minutes from Caledon State Park in Dahlgren. Visited the Dahlgren Heritage Museum with stunning naval artifacts. We were able to catch a glimpse of what was left of the Mathias Point Lighthouse. About one half hour away from the property is Colonial Beach. We loved Willey’s BBQ and visited Dockside Restaurant Tiki Bar. The outside tiki bar on the beach is one of a kind. Thank you, Scott, I/we will be back. Your place makes me want to move from the busy area of Northern Virginia to Fairview to retire.
This place was great in a cute little community. Everything in the house is brand new. It's the perfect spot for a small family or a couple friends! We loved having drinks and meals on the front porch or walking the neighborhood looking at all the adorable beach houses. Host was super helpful and responsive.
