This cabin lives like your own home--comfortable, clean and convenient to everything in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Only 5 minutes to either town. And you're right around the corner from a 6 acre community lake, so it's great for taking family walks, exercising the dog or catch-and-release fishing. Swaying Pines is now in it's 15th year as a vacation rental cabin and we continue to make improvements every year. Come discover what our past guests are talking about!

About Amy Greener

Hi I'm Amy Greener and along with my husband Rick, we own and self-manage our 5 cabins in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Our goal is to give you the best vacation rental experience ever. We hope to retire to the Smokies someday but for now, this is our family business and it keeps us busy! We would love to be your hosts at Swaying Pines.

Amy Greener purchased this cabin in 2002

Why Amy Greener chose Sevierville

Lots of people ask us why we chose this area to buy a vacation rental, when there are so many beautiful properties in our home state of Michigan. Honestly, it boiled down to two big factors: money and weather. With three young children, we didn't have much money to work with. We were looking specifically for a modest, fixer-upper. And Michigan gets mighty cold after October, so we headed south for our cabin search. We love the Smokies, the history of the area and it's welcoming people. We've made many friends and acquaintances there over the years, and you can't help but feel that wonderful southern charm and hospitality wherever you go.

What makes this cabin unique

Swaying Pines is a hidden gem...only 5 minutes from either Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge. We especially enjoy the short drive to either town when it's really busy, like holidays. The 6 acre lake is privately owned so you don't need to buy a fishing license. It's so relaxing to take a walk around the corner to the lake and drop a line...or just make a loop around the lake for some exercise. The horseshoes are lots of fun, too. It has been a joy for us to gradually update and upgrade the cabin and hear comments from guests who remember it having a blue exterior, dial up internet or the old jacuzzi in the main bath. Humble beginnings, for sure :)

Guestbook comments from the owner

Thank you for sharing your home with us. You have done a wonderful job of making it comfortable and cozy. My kids loved the hot tub. We looked forward to it every evening after we had done all the "touristy" things in Gatlinburg. We love all the little touches that you did, like having enough hooks in the bathroom. My boys 2,5 and 8 call this the "fun house" as there was so many toys for them to play with. Thank you for making spring break special for us this year.

Loved it!

  • 5 of 5

This is a great little cabin! We brought our two dogs with us to get married in Gatlinburg and this cabin was perfect for our trip! We had some minor issues with access to the cabin at first but Amy quickly took care of everything and we couldn't be more pleased. Would definitely come back in the future!

Fantastic!!

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is great!! Very cozy with lots of amenities. The bathrooms are updated with gorgeous showers and there’s a huge deck for the pets to play on while you enjoy your coffee in the morning. We were impressed at the little things the owner did to make it extra special, like decorating for Christmas and having puppy treats. She really thought of everything! The location is also appealing, just a few miles from town. Would love to visit again!!

Great centralized pet friendly location

  • 5 of 5

Everyone in our group enjoyed our stay. The house is clean, maintained & cared for. Within minutes of everything.

A really great deck adds to the living space and the hot tub is nice after a day of walking around town. We would love to return someday. The show at the Pigeon Forge Opry was very entertaining, highly recommended! Thanks Amy!

Owner's Response: Thanks Cheryl! Everyone seems to enjoy that big deck. I'll make sure to pass that on to my husband because he said when we rebuilt it, we had to make it at least 50% larger. I guess he made a good call lol. I'm happy you had a good stay and yes, please come back anytime.

Was not happy

Toilet runed all the time up stairs could not sleep shower water pressure was weak radio did not work

Sofa very small .light over kitchen table goes off an on.we paid a lot of money for this cabin not worth it.

Owner's Response: Landren, I'm sorry to learn you were not happy. If you would have alerted me during your stay, I would have been happy to address your concerns. The toilet was not running when we checked it but because it was getting older, I decided to replace it. The light over the dining table is on a dimmer but we found no problem. The radio antenna only picks up a few stations because of our location. The sofa measured 84 inches. Maybe because the back wasn't tall it seemed smaller? Update 10-24-17: we updated our living space with a new LaZboy sofa with built-in recliners. While our Englander sofa was still serviceable, I've always wanted a LaZboy sofa because of the quality and added recliners. I hope our guests enjoy it!
