Small and out dated - overly reliant on the convenience - sits directly over 'Campos Coffee'

Great as it relates to convenience and ski in / ski out - shops and restaurants - but - gym is small and out dated - the pool and jacuzzi - same; laundry is coin operated in a virtual closet- no maid service at all for entire week and space is very tight / I would not use for more than a couple. Any more is tight and uncomfortable regardless of Murphy bed in the middle of the living room. The biggest concern - that NO one mentioned or advertised - this unit is directly over 'Campos Coffee House'- I am an early riser so didn't bother me as much but my wife was not happy with food prep and jamming music at 4:30 am every day and albeit smells weren't all that bad - you and your family will smell like whatever they are cooking that day. Last day it was a potent curry smell-

It was overall a nice trip but if you expect any level of high finish or service this is not your place.

Owner's Response: I'm glad you liked the convenient ski-in/ski-out location of the condo. This was the first time I had heard complaint about trouble with noise or bad smells from Campos Coffee. I spoke with the manager about the early morning noise. She apologized and assured me it would not happen again. She said they apologized to you too, and gave you all complimentary breakfast. I was glad to hear that. I will see what can be done about the smells. Since your title of "small and outdated" is not about our condo, but applies to the gym, pool/jacuzzi and laundry, which are out of my control, I can pass your comments on to the property management company and the HOA. I'm so sorry about the expectation of daily maid service. With VRBO you are renting someones private home or condo, not a hotel-style accommodation. Maid service is not a general service provided by owners of private vacation homes...including condos. Though daily maid service is not offered on VRBO units, I did offer you, a mid-stay cleaning on your 5 night stay for a small fee. And I'm sorry you felt it was too small for the 4 of you. It is advertised as a 1-bedroom, and we give the square footage on the floor plan in the pictures. We do get families of 4 that want a lower price point. But I understand that you are wishing you had gotten a 2-bedroom place.

Clean and comfortable. Convenient location. Lighting could be better. We contacted Compass Management about the smells coming from the coffee shop/grill below. They took care of that. Hot tub right above the living area was not ideal. Noise and music.

Location and Cleanliness Can't Be Beat!

I have nothing but positive things to say about our stay in this condo. From working with Rhonda, to the place itself, everything was great. Perfect for our family of 4 (2 boys ages 5 and 7). The proximity to the slopes and ski school was perfect. Just as easy to pop back into the condo to warm up, use the restroom, grab a bite to eat as it was to go to the other places at the base. Place was clean - I had no hesitation giving my kids a bath in either bathtub. Master bedroom is huge. Linens are nice, beds comfortable. Well stocked with things you need in kitchen and bathroom. I would highly recommend!!

Right at the slopes with a great view!

First of all, Rhonda was amazing to work with. She answered all my questions and gave great information on the area and restaurants.

The condo kitchen window is unbelievable. It's a great view of the mountain overlooking the ski school area. And at night, you can see the snow making machine lights all over the mountain and the groomers in the early morning. You cannot beat the location. Everything is right outside your door.

The condo itself is very cozy. We had a family of 5. We made it work, but it was very tight. My two teenagers were sleeping in the pull down bed and our 8 year old slept on the couch. With all our luggage, we were stepping over things in the living areas. There is an inflatable bed available, but our son didn't seem to mind the couch. The master was spacious and very comfortable. The kitchen was lovely. We skiied everyday and crashed hard after dinner, so we didn't mind, but this unit doesn't offer much in the way of watching a movie together in the evenings as a family. We called it more of a "family ski efficiency". We've already referred a few friends to the unit who asked us about it. It's perfect for a family of 4 on a budget.

Although this unit has been nicely updated, the lodge itself is showing its age. The facilities are dated. The last 2 nights of our stay, someone moved in above us and we heard kids running all over at 4:00 am followed by adults.

We skiied here 20 years ago and it was disappointing to see the village charging Deer Valley prices and the quality just isn't there......from the food to the price of rentals to lift tickets. We've skiied Whistler and Lake Tahoe in the last 2 years and Park City needs to up their game if they want to keep charging big money.

We would ABSOLUTELY be recommending this unit to friends! You just cannot beat the location if Park City Mountain if where you want to be.

Great location at the base of the mountain. Ski within 20 feet of the door. Good facilities, although starting to show the patina of age. Ideal for a small family of four. Might be a bit cramped for two couples.

Park City mountain biking condo

If you are a mountain biker then Park City is the place for you. Warm up on the “Round Valley” trails, through oak forests and grass land. Ride the International Mountain Bike Association Epic ride “Mid-Mountain trail” across the ski area ending at Canyon resort. For something more difficult, try nearby Heber City’s Coyote River trails. If you stay in Condo 211 at The Lodge, right at the base of the Park City ski area you will be centrally located to all the trails. Cozy 1 BR with 2nd murphy bed to fold out in the TV room. Fully equipped kitchen and access to laundry.

About Rhonda

We both grew up spending a lot of time backpacking and hiking in the Sierra Nevada of California. Since moving to Utah, where Terry studies bees and pollination, we've become very fond of Utah powder. Our son is a terrain-park skier, and Park City Mountain Resort has one of the best terrain-parks in the West. We also love the four seasons and the great array of outdoor recreational opportunities that Utah has to offer for us to share as a family. Why Rhonda chose Park City

We chose The Lodge at the Mountain Village because of its perfect ski-in/ski-out location, right at the base of Park City Mountain Resort, a very accessible, world class, yet family friendly, resort. It's so convenient to be slope-side between Payday and First Time lifts, where family members can pop in or out according to differing needs, or all come in for lunch. It's also great to be just steps from the ticket office, rentals, ski school, shops, and restaurants. We love the hot tubs down the hall, the indoor/outdoor pool & hot tubs, the ice rink, the underground parking and the free city bus that stops right in front of our building.

What makes this condo unique

We chose this particular condo because of its perfect ski-in/ski-out location on the very end of the building toward the mountain. We especially love the picture-window view of the slopes. We love being able to be connected with the mountain even when we are inside. It's also a quiet location away from bus stop and parking lot snow removal noise. This condo was in need of a total remodel, which we did in the fall of 2008. We are very pleased with how beautifully it turned out.
