Everything was wonderful with the exception of a few bumps in the road with check-in that we got figured out pretty quickly. Place was cute and quiet and a great spot to relax for the evening. The outdoor seating overlooking the River was such a great spot in the morning with our cups of coffee.

Long weekend on the river

The location of the house is stunning. It's on a beautiful stretch of the river and has great views and access to the river. The cleanliness of the place was below expectations (a few dead bugs on windowsills, dirt & leaves on several of the bathroom floor mats, dining chairs with obvious paint peeling) and the unit was not stocked very well with things I would expect to be there. There were no hand towels for the bathrooms and only 5 regular sized towels. Some might say that's enough for a 2-night stay for 4 people, but when you have 2 people with long-hair, a few more towels would have been nice. The kitchen had the basics, but was certainly not well-appointed like some rental places I've stayed. We specifically requested to have access to the kayak mentioned in the listing, but when we got there it was nowhere to be found. The listing mentions a washer and dryer, but the laundry room had a sign telling us not to use the laundry facilities. The shower door in the primary bathroom would not stay closed. We had a great time, but the property was a bit of a disappointment.

Not a place for families

There were lots of hoops to jump through to reserve this property which included a background check and I had to submit all my email addresses because they said my personal one wasn’t valid and it took more than an hour. The gate to the site’s parking places was padlocked and we were told to park across River Road, which is a busy street that is often driven by people who’ve been floating the river and drinking. This put us and our young daughters at risk and we were worried about our vehicles being struck by a drunk driver. The cabin’s location is near a spot on the river where toobers get picked up and many were loud and drunk and blasting profane music. A campground across the river partied loud and long. There was an RV outside our bedroom window and the people partied until 5 am and kept us up. The pit’s grill was warped and hard to grill on. The inside was clean and worked for us and the AC was good. I know people come to the Guadalupe to party and have a good time and I am fine with that. I do it too. But for the price of this property, I do not want that good time keeping my family and I up all night and at least have one parking spot. We had family at a campground nearby who could not stop by and say hi because there is no parking on River Road. This place is not nearly worth its price and we will not be back.

Wonderful trip! Great location a few miles from town. The hosts were friendly and communicative. One suggestion would be to supply more trash bags for a multi day stay, but everything was great.

Walk into our Open, Bright Waterfront Getaway on the Guadalupe River! We're a short drive to downtown New Braunfels, Schlitterbahn, Gruene, & the Whitewater Amphitheater. Fully furnished with everything you need to have an amazing vaca! The home is 2 beds & 2 baths, the master has a private bath. . The kitchen, is fully stocked with all you could need. Enjoy multiple waterfront decks with 3 different seating areas, a grill, a fire-pit, and picnic table. Walk up the stairs of the deck to the beautiful breathtaking guadalupe river! Go inside to the newly remodeled open kitchen with quartz countertops and and bar which seats 4, the kitchen table which seats 6, walk into the living room with walls of huge picture windows over looking the water. Watch your favorite shows and movies on the large Flat Screen Smart TV, with Amazon Prime, Netflix, and Hulu (watch live TV Sports, News, and the weather), Down the hallway is a newly remodeled bathroom with a tub/shower. Down the hall to the right is a bedroom with a queen-size bed. Across the hall is the master bedroom with a queen size bed and restroom with a stand up shower, attached closet, and smart TV with all of the apps you need! The living room sleeps 4, the Couch has a pull out bed and there are two ottomans that pull out to twins. Walk outside to the deck and you will be overlooking the the water, enjoy coffee or a glass of wine on the large wood, captain chairs or glass table. Walk down the stairs to the deck below find a fridge to keep your drinks and food cold while your footing the river. There is a washer and drier in the laundry room. There is also a charcoal grill, fire-pit, picnic table, 4 rocking chairs and more captain chairs to sit on and eat on and enjoy the views. Grab some rafts and go down to the right through our private gate, down the ladder right into the water and float the days away! Please park across the street on our property. There is no parking inside of the gate. The water is just
