This cozy and peaceful retreat is located right on Shaver's Fork River within the campground of Revelle's River Resort. Just minutes away from the best fishing, hiking, and skiing (in the winter), this cabin has something for everyone!

Private wrap-around deck and hot tub, picnic table, fire pit, two stories, NEW built in Pellet Stove (Pellets provided) , full kitchen and two bathrooms. Gas Blackstone grill and charcoal grill. Bedrooms 1 and 2 downstairs has a full bed each and 3rd bedroom upstairs has a king and full bed and 4th bedroom has a queen bed. Washer and dryer, linens and towels, propane grill, central heat/AC, cable TV, WiFi

Guests of The Elk have access to our splash pad, camping store and more!

Camp store/office is open business hours from April 1-November 1 for any questions or camping needs.

Pets permitted. $30.00 per night per pet. PETS ARE WELCOME BUT MUST BE APPROVED BEFORE BOOKING. NO EXCEPTIONS. After 4 guests: $12 per additional adult per night, $6 per additional child per night.

Great Stay

We really enjoyed our stay here. The property is located on a camp ground that was really quiet during our stay in Jan. The views and property are really nice, we will definitely be staying here again.

Absolutely Great Cabin

Myself and two friends booked the Elk Cabin for a long weekend of trout fishing in the area. We were blown away by how nice the cabin was - extremely clean and comfortable. It's location right on Shaver's Run was outstanding. We spent a lot of time out on the huge deck that overlooks the river and used the flat-top grill several times. Highly recommend!

Christmas Charm

The property is in a beautiful area right on the river with the hot tub located in just the right spot to take in the view. The owner is very easy to communicate with and the cabin is well stocked. This is our second time at this location and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone we know.

Great Weekend Outing

Wonderful place to stay at. Loved the community feel even though wasn't expecting it. Also appreciated it was 15 minutes to nearest town, so great location to get around the area. Would definitely like to stay here again. Only thing i didn't like was all the additional fees at the point of checkout; would be better to just incorporate some of the fees into the actual nightly cost, but i think that's more of an application service issue and not the host,so why i didn't reduce stars.

Family Getaway

My family and I really enjoyed our mini vacation. The cabin was everything we were looking for. Beautiful location overlooking the river and decorated in a cozy, rustic style to include a Christmas tree and holiday decorations. The cabin itself was clean and the kitchen well stocked with anything you could need-even a crockpot and the item we always forget-coffee filters. We hesitated sharing a good review only because we’d like to keep this location available for the next time we are able to visit. Thank you for your hospitality Catherine.

Almost Heaven...

Catherine was an absolute jewel to work with! From my first inquiry email, she was very responsive. The cabin is exactly as described, and how the pictures show. Kudos to the cleaning company, because my family and I have rented from numerous VRBO renters in the past, and this cabin was by far the cleanest upon check-in. It was very peaceful at the campground, and everyone we encountered was extremely friendly! We will be back!

Riverside retreat

It was exactly as described. It was well equipped and well maintained. We had one minor maintenance issue. I called the after hours number to have it resolved the next day. 10 minutes later the maint. man was there and promptly resolved the issue. Very quiet place considering it's location in a campground. Nobody wanted to leave and everyone wants to go back.

Great vacation!!!!!

We had a fantastic time at The Elk cabin. The cabin and outside areas were immculate. The location is great. Many area attractons within a 1 hour drive. The view from the deck is awesome. Wish there was direct access to the river from the property. Looks like there has been but it is covered with bricks and cinder block from replacing the chimney. Maybe just a work in progress. There is a great swimming area just a short distance across the road. The kids (and adults) loved the splash pad. My negative: The kitchen stove is a disaster! We eat all our meals in and it was a constant battle. This has been mentioned in previous comments. The dining table seats 4 and there are 2 barstools. We are a family of 7 and enjoy eating our meals together and playing games in the evening. It is a high table so couldn't use a lawn chair. The gas grill grate is rusty but there is a really nice charcoal grill. These are just things I wanted to mention. Overall, it is a great place and we would definately go back!
