Why Owner chose San José del Cabo
We started to vacation in Cabo for Spring breaks when the kids were young about 18 years ago. It was a quick flight and the weather is always great. It is a dream come true on own oceanfront property anywhere.
What makes this Condo unique
The view is spectacular. This building is the closest to the water of all San Jose Del Cabo. The location is central to all the activities.
Please consider the following guidelines when booking this property:
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date. 50% refund if canceled at least 30 days before arrival date.
Great Location, well maintained, excellent service, secured and +++A for family retreat.
We would do it again.
Everything very nice except the outdoor noise
This is a beautiful, safe, clean resort. We went down to beach everyday. Used the boogie boards and chairs in the unit. Walked to a couple of restaurants on the beach, Zippers and Mamma Mia(karaoke) both good not great. Pool area very nice as well. If you like to sit out on the porch and read or drink coffee it is beautiful but the A/C noise from the Krystal next door goes 24/7 and is super annoying. We did hear music from there that we liked one night. So if you're out and about great. If you are going to be hanging at the unit the noise grates on you.
Amazing views on a lovely property
We really enjoyed our stay in this beautifully decorated second floor condo. Two bed/2 bath with everything we needed to cook, relax or head out for a day at the beach. We made good use of the provided beach chairs and umbrella both at the condo beach and other playas. Both the condo and the Mykonos grounds were very clean! We would happily stay here again.
Beautiful beach and great location!
It was our first time in Mexico and we didn't know what to expect. We spent 9 days in San Jose del Cabo and really loved it! We came to relax and enjoy the surfing and that was exactly we we did! There is no question that the Mykonos condo complex is quite lovely and well maintained. The grounds are really beautiful as are the pools. The beach view is unbelievable as well and very private. We spent many late afternoons relaxing by the pool and just enjoying the view. We also met many lovely owners who have been here for 20+ years. Its secure and safe and the staff is lovely.
Our condo unit was lovely. It was as advertised. The unit is decorated with local artist work which I loved. The kitchen is well equipped and we enjoyed our breakfast every morning watching the amazing sunrise. We even saw a few whales go by. The balcony is very large and there is ample seating. The 2 bedrooms are also nice sizes and there are fans in all the rooms. We had a small problem with the air conditioner in the master bedroom but it was quickly addressed and sufficed. It was never super cool but it was ok for us because we had cool mornings. The washer/dryer was really great to have. The unit is also stocked with all the beach items we needed (towels, chairs, umbrella and cooler etc) which was very helpful. It is a lovely condo overall.
Important to note that a new complex, The Krystal Grand, has been built right next door. This lovely corner 2nd floor unit is next to the back kitchen of this new complex. The fan runs all day and night and so it is no longer super quiet or private on the balcony. The owners did let us know and they are diligently working on a resolution with the Krystal Grand. We were their Easter break so it was the busiest week of the year and probably not the norm. But it needs to be mentioned because it was not what we expected and proved to be a nuisance. Unfortunately there is construction going on all over Los Cabos as it is growing rapidly, so you could encounter this in many places. Still the view is breathtaking from this unit and building. Owners are lovely and responsive.
We enjoyed being close to San Jose del Cabo and the surf beaches. We spent most of our day at Aqapulquito surfing and La Roca. Santa Maria is beautiful, get there soon as they are building condos on the beach. Day trip to Cerritos Beach and Todos Santos well worth it. There are many restaurants to choose from. Preferred San Jose del Cabo to downtown San Lucas
Great Location, Great Condo, Great Views, Mykonos is GREAT!
This was our first time to Cabo and what a great surprise the entire experience was. Firstly - staying closer to San Jose Del Cabo was a great decision. Unless you want to be closer to the "action" - we liked the slower pass of San Jose.
The town of San Jose is charming and there are great restaurants - we liked Lolita's cafe, Sardina Cantina (walking distance from the condo) and El Toro Guero (great seafood - Rick Bayless (chef) goes there when in town.) Skip Zippers and 7seas - both are not worth it when there are plenty of other great options. Art walk on Thursday's is worth it - and a good excuse to wander the streets.
The condo has spectacular views and is very well equipped with about everything you need for the beach or just hanging in the condo. The Mega has plenty of grocery options to stock up for meals in the condo. We really liked the Mykonos property - it was well maintained - and the pools were fantastic. The gate was rarely down- but there was always a friendly guard who recognized us - the property felt very safe. Probably the best part of the condo was the porch - it's massive with enough space to have guests over - plenty of seating - or just chill.
The only downer was there is construction right next door and a huge crane (literally you could climb it from the left of the porch)- but we imagine that will be done in the next few months - if you are an early riser they don't start construction noise until around 8:30 AM - and the sound of the waves blocks the noise most of the time. Construction is happening everywhere - so this wasn't an issue for us. Bedrooms were spacious - and there was nothing like being able to see the sand and waves right from the master bedroom. We loved the massive shower that felt like an outdoor shower.
You don't need a car - but we would recommend one - it's difficult to explore without one. We highly recommend Santa Maria beach for snorkeling - they just completed a massive renovation including a walkway that could accommodate a wheelchair to the beach. Chilano is good - but the construction is distracting. We also recommend going to Cabo Pulmo - if you are adventurous - it's drive up a dirt trail about 50 miles - the views and beaches are fantastic. Dirt trail - and bumpy with no cell coverage - so be prepared.
This is a great location, condo and views.
Thank you for your new Resturant tips. There are so many new restaurants everywhere I personally try a couple of new ones every time I go down.
Agreed the crane can be a distraction but it just seems to be parked there. I am amazed how quickly they are building. I am hopeful that when finished the property next door will be beautiful and only enhance our fantastic views. Most of the current construction is by the highway and not by the beach, so noise is minimal blocked by the sound of waves.
I have stayed in several rental condos in San Jose, and have to say this is my favorite thus far. Great location, very well equipped, and very comfortable place. It is very obvious that the owners take pride in decorating this condo to make their guests feel like they are in a home, and not a rental.
Thank you for your kind review. It is our home away from home! I am glad you enjoyed your stay.
There are a variety of activities, including whale watching, pirate ships, ATV tours, etc...not enough time to do it all!
