Datai Villa is located on a beach you ever fantasized to live on...

In Ancient Malais, Datai meant the path toward enlightenment...This will be your own feeling as soon as arriving at the villa. Our beachfront property is located on North Caicos endless stretch of beach of Whitby Haven. Our beach is just of white sand...no rocks at all to hurt your feet! Be careful...it's not the same all along the shore! Datai is offering all you can expect to spend the most peaceful and enjoyable vacation you ever dreamed of.

Regina, our villa manager will be your host. You will always have someone to help you from your very first minute on North Caicos. Anything you need...just ask! You will get 2 kayaks free of charge. Although being secluded and located on the most private beaches of TCI, Datai is wired to the "real world". Netflix, WI-FI Internet and telephone will keep you connected to real life.

Kayaks for the sportiest. Hammock and lounge chairs for those needing to relax and recover from exhaustive city life.

You don't wish to go grocery shopping...you want someone cooking for you...cleaning for you...we are there to arrange everything for you! Just ask for it.

Great outdoors area with ample seating, a long and beautiful beach, kayaks/paddleboards, and plenty of sand toys. Our kids (2 and 4) had plenty of space to run and play safely. Spot (house manager) was very responsive when anything was missing or broken. Easy walk or bike to KJ’s and walk along the beach/cliff to barracuda beach bar

Fantastic spot on Whitby Beach

This spacious house was perfect for our family of 5. When we weren’t out exploring north and middle Caicos, we snorkled, swam, kayaked and walked up and down the beach. The outside patio, deck and beach chairs are ideal for reading, watching lizards, and simply relaxing. Highly recommend Datai!

Fantastic villa on a beautiful beach

Our stay at Datai is always memorable. Datai is a beautiful, well-equipped home with beautiful gardens. The lovely beach is just outside the door. We especially appreciate the gazebo which offers shade if you want it. We keep coming back - we love it so much!

Datai is the Best

This was our 5th stay at Datai over the past 10 years. The quite, understated luxury of the place has remained unchanged by time. Jean-Louis and Martine are gracious hosts who are always helpful with any needs.The villa and beachfront are well maintained and important upgrades have been made over the years. Datai is in the best location on North Caicos and we plan to return often.

Family Vacation

The property was the perfect location! Everything was clean and in order. Spot was Spot on and very helpful.....The beaches were incredible, the people on the island were very nice. This house was perfect for us and I visited several others while we were there and ours was the best! Looking forward to coming back again! Thanks for the great time...hope we left the sand fleas behind.

Beautiful Vacation

This is are 3rd time staying at Datai Villa. The location is wonderful, not far from restaurants and grocery stores. The beach is sandy and beautiful. Waking up every morning to the sound of the ocean and the beautiful view is priceless. The owner and property manager are amazing. Very good communication, they want to make sure your stay is wonderful. We will be back again. Some tips if you do travel to North Caicos rent a car so uou can drive to all the beautiful beaches and go to the local restaurants the food is amazing!! We did a private charter through Carribean crusin and had Captain Jerry he made the day fun, we saw sea turtles, sharks and a dolphin. We love this villa! It is also family friendly if you have children. You can't beat the location!

My family spent 5 nights at Datai Villa. We wanted to get away from it all and this place is exactly what the doctor ordered. We enjoyed the beautiful water and felt as if we had the beach all to ourselves. The property is beautifully landscaped with coconut palm trees and bougainvilleas. With the exception of a few power outages across the island, our stay was perfect! Jean-Louis was attentive and helpful in making our stay special. I would recommend Datai Villa and hope to visit again soon!

A week in paradise

There were six of us (2 grandparents, 2 adults, 2 children under 5). We had a wonderful time. The island itself can be conquered in just a few days, but the house with beach access gave us plenty to do. The house was equipped with a crib, a lot of sand toys, and even some children's plates / bowls. We spent most of our time outside. The owner and property manager were so quick and helped with anything needed (including clinic info due to an ear infection). We ended up cooking enough due to the limited number of restaurants but enjoyed the grill and fully stocked kitchen. The listing needs to update the pics as they added an extra outdoor lounge area which was our favorite place. Thanks for letting us stay at your Villa.

This was our best rental experience ever!

Our family has rented quite a few times for vacations, both in the US and in the Caribbean. Our overall experience with Datai Villa was the best we've experienced yet (and we've had very good experiences in the past). Jean-Louis has thought through all of the details necessary to have a wonderful stress-free vacation. He was very helpful with all aspects regarding food, transportation, excursions, etc. He received us at the house to walk through all of its amenities to make sure we were able to get the most out of our rental. The house and property are amazing - everything well designed and comfortable, very tastefully appointed. The beach was amazing - we sunbathed, shelled, snorkeled, kayaked and walked right from our property. We absolutely, thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! Jean-Louis is a wonderful host and a joy to talk to if you have the time. We hope to return for another stay and would recommend Datai Villa unconditionally.

Beautiful, comfortable, clean and very relaxing

Three couples traveled to North Caicos and shared this villa. It was so nice to have the 3 bedrooms with bathrooms. There was plenty of room for all 6 of us. The villa is absolutely lovely! Sitting on the deck in the am with coffee listening to the birds and ocean is the only way to start the day. The kitchen was supplied with nice cooking equipment, dishes etc. making it very easy to prepare meals. Jean-Louis prepared pizza for our first night which I highly recommend. The pizza was wonderful! We were tired from traveling all day so it was nice to be able to sit and relax with dinner at the villa. We used the bikes to make quick trips to the grocery for odds and ends. Having the kayaks available was a big plus as it is only a few feet to the ocean. All in all I would highly recommend Datai as a totally beautiful and relaxing place to spend time. Jean-Louis and Martine are delightful people!

Girls trip

We had the most amazing view from our villa, the beach was perfect. The lack of AC in the common area at the villa was a bit hard to deal with,temperature usually rose to over 85° The owner(Matt) met us at the airport and helped us get supplies before we headed to the ferry which was a huge help. We stayed on north Caicos and visited Middle Caicos, while we found some amazing places the roads to get to these places were less than perfect. Most of the attractions were off the one main road and maintance was non existent, mostly dirt roads, but once you got there it was stunning!! Our Villa had all you needed but could use some updates. Our "go to guy" Spot, the villa manager was always available and couldn't have been more helpful. The people on North Caicos were suoer friendly and we found some great island food. If your looking for relaxation this is the place, just make sure to get most of your needed food supplies on Provo before going to North or Middle Caicos. Overall a beautiful place to visit.

Peace and quiet

Mr Jean-Louis keeps a beautiful property. My husband and 3 teenagers stayed in August after picking our oldest daughter up from a month at SFS school on South Cacios. Great set up for teenagers . Good WiFi in the House. It was the off season so we were glad we shopped in Provo. North Cacios is amazing untouched buy the tourist industry. We saw 6 people on the beach the entire week and one was Mr Jean-Louis. He is very available for anything you need but gives you your privacy. It was blazing hot but the AC in bedrooms worked well, good beds and linens. Good washing machine and a line to dry towels and clothes. We mostly cooked our meals. Did go to a local BBQ one night that was wonderful and ate at Mudjin beach restaurant that was wonderful as well. If you like to go the road less traveled this house is a must . Thanks Mr Jean-Louis!

Beautiful beach, house is OK

The beach is absolutely amazing at this house, the property grounds are stunning too, but the house does need some updates. As other reviews mentioned, the house is horribly hot, and although there are breezes off the water, it doesn't reach the house because of all the landscaping. We cooked meals every day in the house and it was almost unbearable because it was so hot. The appliances need updating as well, the stove throws off crazy heat and the fridge is working overtime just to keep things somewhat cool. A few fans to place at doors would be nice to circulate air. Some of the windows didn't have screens as well, or they didn't fit properly, so we couldn't open all the windows. A note for those traveling with kids - 2 of the bedrooms are in a building separate from the house. The beach was stunning, nice and sandy, we only saw a few people the whole time we were there.

Tranquil Beauty

My wife and 3 kids (8, 11, 20) just arrived home from North Caicos today. If you are looking for quite, peaceful bliss...this is the place! Jean-Louis is a gracious host and his pictures show exactly what this house and property look like. The beach out back has very nice sand and the water is as blue as you see in the pictures. The house is beautiful. We stayed during off season, when most restaurants are either closed or close early (5pm), so important to know this if you come during the summer months. We were still able to enjoy local food by eating early. A couple of our favorite spots were the Barracuda Bar & Grille, My Dee's, Miss B's and the Mudjin Bar & Grille. My Dee's makes a great grilled red snapper!!! We also spent a day on a private boat charter with Captain D. We highly recommend this! Affordable and the Captain will customize your day for your liking. We're mostly beach bums, so we went beach hopping! Thanks Captain! Jean-Louis thank you for your gracious hospitality and helping us create great memories! - The Westmarks (Phoenix, AZ)

Lovely stay with spectacular views

The house is very clean and well organized, when you open the gate and see the water you feel as though you're in a different world it really is breathtaking. Regine greets you as you get off the ferry and makes sure you are well taken care of. The bed linens are very nice as are the beds. The kitchen is well equipped, we cooked most of our meals. The downside which has nothing to do with the house is that you are secluded on North Caicos, you really need to load up on the groceries in Provo everything including toilet paper, paper towels spices ect.. once you get on North Caicos in my opinion you need a car, there is a restaurant called silver palm in walking distance that is very close. If you run out of things there are grocery stores that have a very limited selection and very expensive (a gallon of milk is over $11.00). The no see ums are relentless, you definitely need spray and that is on all the islands, we spent a day at parrot cay and they were just as relentless. So if your looking for a very comfortable home amazing beaches and quietness then this place is it!

Paradise in Every Way

We just left Datai and I’m already dreaming of going back. Datai is the most beautiful property with the best hosts! I can’t even describe the beauty that awaits at Datai, every window has a view of the turquoise sea and white sand beaches. Jean-Louis and Martine have done an amazing job on this well cared for property. The landscaping is amazing and creates the perfect island scene with palm trees and beautiful island flowers. We had the beach to ourselves every day all day. We felt like celebrities on our own private island. A busy day was if we saw 2 people! The house is well-cared for, clean and so comfortable--a perfect home away from home. Jean-Louis and Martine have thought of everything! They even did the shopping for us before we arrived so we didn’t have to think about a thing after many hours of travel! The folks on the island are some of the friendliest I’ve met and you feel like family everywhere you go. We loved Miss B’s fish fry on Wednesday. Also Mudjin Resort on Middle Caicos was a great adventure. The Three Mary Cays were beautiful as well. However, the best place on the island is Datai! There was nothing better than long days on the beach, swimming, sunning, playing in the sand. My 3 year old loved finding lizards and crabs, and watching the beautiful birds fly by. Life is so very good when you are at Datai! Thank you Jean-Louis and Martine for sharing your beautiful home and helping us make the best memories with our family! We hope to be back again soon! ❤️

Simply beautiful!

I cannot even begin to explain how beautiful this property is! Datai is by far the nicest home on Whitby Beach – the palm trees, hammock, covered canopy and deck are just perfect! The beach is one of the nicest we have ever stayed on and there are no crowds! The house is open and spacious; nicely decorated; comfortable beds and furnishings; has a well an equipped kitchen and is impeccably clean. Jean-Louis, the owner, is extremely helpful and has many connections on the island. His help made our time on North Caicos stress and worry-free. The property manager, Regine was on call if we needed anything. My family and I (my wife, my daughter and her fiancé, my other daughter, my mother and myself) spent 9 nights at Datai, including Christmas. Jean-Louis recommended using Unique Taxi Services – they were great! We reserved and pre-paid our taxi before our trip (which was extremely helpful). The driver was waiting for us when we left the airport. On the way to the ferry, we stopped at the IGA to get some groceries (meats, milk, fruits and veggies). We brought a few reusable grocery bags from home – otherwise you will have to carry your groceries in paper bags that rip easily. The store is much like any supermarket you would find in the US – prices are slightly higher, that is to be expected. We brought coffee and a few other items from home. After a 25 minute ferry ride, we were greeted by Regine and the rep from Al’s Auto Rental (also recommend by Jean-Louis). Be sure to rent a 4 wheel drive vehicle. The few main roads are paved, but all the side roads are very rugged. When you explore you need a 4 wheel drive vehicle to avoid getting stuck. The house is a short ten-minute drive from Sandy Point. Remember to KEEP LEFT! You can find basics at the grocery stores on North Caicos. You may have to visit there to get what you are looking for but you can find it! The liquor store is well stocked and prices are not bad – the local rum and beer are great! We prepared most of our meals at the house, used the grill a lot. Princess Takeout and My Dees have great food for eat-in or takeout. We went to Parrotice Ice Cream almost every day! Take a drive to Middle Caicos and spend a day at Mudjin Harbor and Beach – its breathtaking. We enjoyed a nice lunch and frozen drinks at Mudjin Café. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our time at Datai and recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet restful beach vacation.

Absolutely breathtaking

We could not say anything negative about villa Datai. The house is lovely, well outfitted and had lots of places for us to sit and enjoy. The beach is fabulous in every way. We only saw a handful of people the entire 10 days we were there. There were only four of us so we each had our own en-suite bedroom and bath. We enjoyed puzzling and playing many of the games that were at the house. Spot and Mattew were extremely helpful before and during our stay and could not have been any nicer. I highly recommend villa Datai. You won’t be disappointed!

Had the best time! Coming back next year. Matt responded quickly, and Spot was helpful with any questions. The house was super clean, and had all the amenities. Everyone was so nice, and loved talking with us. The food was amazing at all the restaurants. I recommend any seafood, it was all amazing. And there is a bar on the beach within walking distance. The water was crystal clear. Great place for families! I can't wait to come back!!! If you want paradise this is it!

Amazing!

This house exceeded our expectations. The layout of the house was perfect as it allowed us family time together but plenty of space that we could retreat to. The beach and swimming were great with lots of opportunity for family walks with few other people around. The entire community on North Caicos was very warm, welcoming and chill. Great location for any family looking for a peaceful getaway. One tip: bring plenty of bug spray and baby oil for the "no-see-ums" which are no joke.

Amazing house!

My husband and I and our 2 grown children and their 2 children stayed in Datai villa for 5 nights. It was incredibly peaceful. We only saw about 4 other people on the beach the entire time and that was when we walked further down the beach. The house is the perfect size for our group. The house looks exactly like it does in the pictures. The backyard is so beautiful and there is always a wonderful breeze blowing. We had an air conditioning issue and Spot came over that day and replaced one of the A/C units. Everyone really enjoyed themselves. I would love to come back and stay there!

Peacefulness we expected and more

We had researched North Caicos enough to know that it is step back from the pace of Provo and Grand Turk. It did not disappoint. Everyone on the island was great and Spot did a wonderful job taking care of us if we needed anything. The house is perfect for parents and children looking for a relaxing family vacation. We will be back.
