About this property
Water’s Edge Cottage, Bottle Creek, North Caicos
Completely unwind at this unique and tranquil piece of undiscovered paradise. Water’s Edge Guest Cottage is ideal for people who want to simply relax in nature or enjoy an adventurous week exploring Bottle Creek, North and Middle Caicos. Water’s Edge sits on 5 acres with stunning views of Bottle Creek and pathways that meander down to the water front. A two man kayak is included in the rental along with snorkel gear. Ferry runs 3-5 times daily to and from Providenciales.
The space
Water’s Edge Cottage is nestled in a 5 acre wooded lot overlooking the Bottle Creek nature reserve. The views are unobstructed and stunning.
The main villa is owner occupied but buildings are completely separate and each enjoy their own pathways down to the Bottle Creek waterfront.
Alison, will be available to assist whenever needed, but will also allow you all the privacy you need. She wont bother you during your stay unless you need anything.
The cottage has AC and is very comfortable, but it is the outdoor areas that really make the place so special. (There are rarely any mosquitos because of the wonderful ocean breeze).
You can wake up early in the morning, and wander down to the waterfront to enjoy your coffee and watch the sunrise. Go for lunch at Mudjin Harbor and enjoy a day on one of the most stunning beaches in the world. Then come home and enjoy a bbq/drinks in the evening and relax by the firepit. Or, you can visit one of the local bars or restaurants and learn what life is and used to be like on North and Middle Caicos from the welcoming and super friendly locals.
Guest access
Guest cottage, pathways down to the waterfront/little beach, hammock and firepit area. The main villa area, which is owner occupied, is private.
Other things to note
You need to book your ferry and car rental ahead of time. Please let me know if you need assistance doing so. The ferry runs 5 times per day to and from North Caicos, except for Sundays and bank holidays when it runs less frequently. The ferry schedule can be found online via Caribbean Cruising. Private charters are also available for drop and pick up but can be expensive. If you are doing a private boat charter, for example through Okeanos Charters, you can request a drop off on North Caicos.

About the host
Hosted by Alison Williams

Originally from Liverpool, England, I moved to Turks and Caicos in 1989. I love nature, animals, boats and island living! I originally lived on Provo but have lived on Salt Cay and have recently purchased a home on North Caicos. I now spend my time between Provo and North Caicos. I have a beautiful, very laid back, white golden retriever (Mishka). He loves children and enjoys swimming and beach walks. My son, Josh, is the owner of Okeanos Charters, which offers exclusive private boat tours.
I look forward to welcoming you to Turks and Caicos, and helping you to plan your time here, whether it be on Provo or North Caicos, or maybe even both! I am sure you will have endless days of fun in the sun. I’d be happy to help you learn more about Turks and Caicos, especially the outer islands, so please don’t hesitate to ask.

Why they chose this property
North Caicos is a 20 mins ferry ride from Provo. It is much less inhabited than Provo and much greener. There are many stunning beaches to enjoy such as Sandy Point, 3 Mary Cays, Pumpkin Bluff, Whitby Beach, and Horse-stable Beach.
You can also enjoy a day trip to Provo and visit the famous Grace Bay Beach if you haven’t been there already and enjoy lunch at one of the many incredible restaurants. You might even like to split your time between Provo and North/Middle Caicos to experience the best of both places.
(Although harder to get to, I’d also recommend Salt Cay as a place to visit while in Turks and Caicos if you have the time, especially during whale season).
If you enjoy exploring, driving or cycling to gorgeous and often deserted beaches and don’t crave resorts or night life, this is the place for you. There are a few grocery stores and restaurants on North and Middle Caicos, but stopping for a shop at IGA before jumping on the ferry to get favorite food items is recommended.
Bottle Creek is a quaint little village, right on the water where people will welcome you with open arms. After you pass through this, you will continue driving for about 5 mins before you reach Water’s Edge Villa and Guest Cottage. It takes 20 -25 minutes by car to get to Water’s Edge from the Bellfield Landing ferry dock. You WILL need to rent a car!
A little further on, you will reach the causeway that takes you to Middle Caicos and Mudjin Harbor/Dragon Cay resort, which is 12 mins drive from Water’s Edge. Continue on another 10- 15 mins to reach the stunning Bambara beach.
If you’re feeling adventurous and want to explore even further, then Wild Cow Run will blow your mind! The most adventurous of you may even wish to bring an inflatable paddle board and paddle over to Dickish and Jo Grant Cay.

What makes this property unique
Water’s Edge is the perfect location to explore both North and Middle Caicos. This is an idyllic spot overlooking Bottle Creek and East Bay Islands National Park. To learn more about East Bay Islands National Park, go to the Visit TCI website.
Water’s Edge Cottage is in an extremely peaceful setting with gorgeous views and a good easterly breeze so mosquito’s aren’t usually a problem like they can be elsewhere. The 5 acre property is completely private with absolutely gorgeous areas to relax within the property, including a little man made beach area.
Rental includes kayak and snorkel gear, cooler, beach chairs etc. Be prepared to enjoy relaxing here so much, you may not want to leave the grounds so make sure you give yourselves plenty of time to relax AND explore!
Please note that this is not a touristy area. If you want to experience Grace Bay with its many restaurants, shops etc. you can either get the ferry to Provo to spend the day there, or split your time between Provo and North Caicos.
To get here, you fly into Providenciales airport, then take a taxi to Heaving Down Rock, where the ferry leaves from to go to North Caicos. The ferry runs 3-5 times daily and takes 20 mins. You can need to rent a car ahead of time and they will meet you at the ferry terminal at Bellefield Landing with the car.
Another option is to spend one night in a hotel such as Comfort Suites in Grace Bay, then go to North Caicos the next day. If doing a private boat charter, they may be able to drop you off at North Caicos after your trip.
I’m here and ready to help you plan your trip so please let me know any questions you might have.
