Wonderful cottage.

We were in SC visiting family and stayed at the Rice Cottage. The home was lovely. Especially the screened in porch and fenced in backyard. My dog also loved it.

Excellent For Historic Downtown Visit

Betts is very responsive and easy to work with. The house is a very nice place to stay and welcomes pets as well (the fenced backyard is wonderful). The house has everything you need and is in great condition and a short walk to the historic district, a short drive to the beach; best of both worlds.

Great house, wonderful neighborhood

We had a great time in Rice cottage. Very well stocked kitchen, nice decor and loved the screened porch and the fenced garden. Georgetown is an interesting town and the cottage's proximity to downtown is a major plus. Highly recomended.

Short stay for fishing tournament

While we didn’t get to spend a ton of time IN the house because we were fishing, it was so nice to have the house as our home base and know we could get a good nights sleep each night. The house is so cute and decorated perfectly. We will definitely be back.

Highly recommend!

Rice Cottage provides the perfect place for a relaxing and comfortable getaway. Spotlessly clean, comfortable beds and everything (absolutely everything!) you could possibly need during your stay. Thoughtful touches like night lights in every room were greatly appreciated. Our host was lovely and communication was top notch. Georgetown is the perfect destination in between Charleston and Myrtle Beach - quiet but an easy drive to either place. Would love to stay here again!

Perfect!

The cottage is adorable. Equipped with everything you need. We enjoyed the screened in porch the most. The cottage is in a perfect location to walk to town shoppes and restaurants. Excellent experience, we will return again.

Rice Cottage

Great place to come home to!

Cozy house with all the comforts of home. Within walking distance of downtown Georgetown and numerous restaurants. There was a city water problem while we were in town. Betts kept us up-to-date on the situation, and even dropped off 3 cases of water for us to use until it was resolved. Would definitely stay here again.

Family wedding weekend

This property was perfect for our family to gather while in town for my niece’s wedding. The home was well stocked with everything we needed including toiletries. The patio / fenced backyard was a great spot for morning coffee and for our pup to get some outdoor time. Very convenient to downtown area too. Thank you Betts. You are an awesome host!

Home away from home

What a wonderful gem of a cottage! From the moment you walked through the door, the hospitality of the host was evident. This property was welcoming, well equipped, and made special with thoughtful touches. The description provided was not only accurate but exceeded expectations. This was one of best Rental properties I’ve stayed at. I couldn’t recommend Rice cottage more

I am retired and was born in Georgetwon. SC, growing up just around the corner on Meeting Street and then Hopsewee Plantation, where I lived until I moved to Charleston to attend the College of Charleston. I studied Art and Architectural History. After working for the City of Charleston, I moved to Murfreesboro, TN (Near Nashville). There I raised two sons and was the Director of Building and Codes for the City of Murfreesboro. My claim to some fame is having been married to Roy C Nixon who was former Sheriff and then Mayor of Memphis/Shelby County who knew Elvis Presley very well. My two sons, Wellons and Collins Harrelson help manage the Rice Cottage.

Guests love the screened in porch that runs the length of the house and the old English patio. The front and back yards are nicely landscaped.

Inside we have the cottage well stocked for your living and cooking needs. The kitchen is large and open to the living and dining areas, so it makes for a grand cooking and visiting space. Read our reviews... they tell out story best!
