We never stayed on a boat before and it was great. There is a lot to do within walk distance

  • 5 of 5

Had a great time. Had takeout on the boat one night and watched all the sailboats. Lots of great restaurants in walking distance max was about 1 mile but it's a nice walk lots to look at. We will stay there again hopefully soon.

Anniversary trip

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed here for our 25th anniversary. Although it took a bit to adjust to the confined spaces on the boat, we had a great time. Being able to sit on the deck to relax, read and eat meals, made it so much better than staying in a hotel room. The views were great and we were entertained by the activities of the small marina. The nights were very quiet, even on the weekends, and we were lulled to sleep by the gentle rocking of the boat. We appreciated being able to use the marina's facilities for showering, so we didn't have to navigate the small shower on the boat. We loved touring and dining in Annapolis, then retreating to the boat in Eastport, a 1 mile walk. When we weren't up to the walk, we took a water or bike taxi - which were also great experiences. When visiting here, we recommend getting to know Eastport, visiting the Naval Academy, shopping, and eating at the Iron Rooster (order the omelettes and homemade poptarts, can't wait to go back here). We went on one of the boat tours, but enjoyed the much less expensive water taxi just as much. It was a unique experience and a great trip!

Unique stay in Eastport/Annapolis Maryland

  • 4 of 5

My husband and I had a wonderful time staying on the Sojourner. The staff at the Chesapeake Boating Club could not have been any nicer. We arrived Friday afternoon and did not get back into the car until we had to leave on Sunday. This is a unique way to stay near Annapolis. We walked over the bridge into Annapolis and took the sunset sail on the Schooner Woodwind and then took the water taxi back. What made the trip special were the people, not only at the dock but also of Eastport. You are not staying on a luxury Yacht and it is cozy accommodations but it is a fun experience and we plan on returning.

Don't Miss Out! on this experience!

  • 5 of 5

I had searched and searched for a hotel or B&B close to the water. There were many selections, but rates always seemed to jump to double for the weekend. This is a common practice during the Summer, but I just didn't want to spend that much. Searching through this website I came across this title..."Waterfront Accommodations - ON THE WATER! Got my attention so I read further. Do not pass this up! The staff is amazing and the accommodations were just what they advertised - ON THE WATER! I was at the end of the dock where I photographed Osprey, ducks, sailboats, people, incredible sunsets and had 2 decks to choose from where I enjoyed a glass of wine every evening. I was 5 blocks from The Chart House, where I had dinner and picked up the local water taxi that whisked me away across the Bay to Annapolis! Can't get much better than that!

Great accommodations for nice weather

  • 5 of 5

We are former sailboat cruisers and needed somewhere for a quick weekend getaway with 2 family members in late November. We took the weather risk and booked a long weekend to stay on Sojourner. She is a sweet boat, well equipped and comfortable, and the hosts were extremely pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately, the weather turned unseasonably cold (25F with gale force winds). It was very pleasant in the boat (although the compressor for the heat pump was a bit noisy at night trying to keep up with the dropping temperature) but miserable outside. So we cut short our stay by one night, which the hosts very kindly reimbursed us for. Recommend this highly except for serious stormy or cold weather.
