About this property

Walk: Plaza, Eating, Drink, Art Historic Eastside

Casa del Encanto is a well maintained and extremely comfortable gem in the heart of the Historic Eastside, which was first inhabited in 1848. The location is perfect for those wanting to be close to "everything that is Santa Fe"! The shops and galleries of Canyon Road as well as the Downtown Plaza are only steps away from the front door. Start of your day with the many cafes that are just a lovely 5 minute stroll through this beautiful historic neighborhood.

The space
This incredible vacation retreat is located on a quiet and private lane, less than a two minute walk to Santa Fe's famed, Canyon Road and less than a 10 minute walk to Santa Fe's downtown Plaza.

This spacious and well-laid out 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom home is the PERFECT vacation spot for your family or small/large group.

After parking in one of the 3 private spots outside you walk through the gate into the front courtyard and first see a beautiful garden. This front courtyard also hosts an unforgettable porch swing and water feature beckoning for a lovely morning coffee or tea. As you enter the front door you are welcomed into the charm of an old adobe home with all traditional adobe walls, hardwood floors, and Viga ceilings. The cozy living room has a working Kiva fireplace ready for some Pinon wood and good conversation. Three of the bedrooms are through this main living room and feature soft luxury linens and award winning art pieces. Each bedroom has a bathroom which features beautiful Mexican tile work and soft towels. The fully equipped, Mexican tiled kitchen features a HUGE fridge and a 6 burner stove. Plus, you can not imagine a more peaceful and private apricot tree-shaded back courtyard featuring a rose garden and other fantastic plants and flowers that runs the length of the house and allows for open air dinning on a large gathering table ready to accommodate all friends and family.

Our home has heating throughout and cooling in the rooms to make sure your group is more than comfortable!

Casa del Encanto is the perfect home for those looking for a charming, quintessential Santa Fe vacation rental with modern luxuries all the while maintaining its historic character.

Cozy & Spacious
Our family of 6 stayed in this beautiful home during Thanksgiving week. We loved the kitchen with the large range, fireplace added extra warmth, bedrooms have a private bath, yard has a lovely water feature and we walked everywhere! Fantastic spot!

Lovely, warm, spacious, unique, welcoming…wish I could live there!
What a perfect vacation our family had! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. I think it is even better than the photos- everyone had plenty of room & privacy. The outdoor areas added to the charm of the house. We felt safe & loved the neighborhood. We ended up grilling at the house two evenings because it was so awesome (we usually eat out on vacations.) I can’t say enough good things about this beautiful Santa Fe gem.

Enjoyable property
After checking out I received a message from either the proper manager or the owner that they were disappointing because the maintenance person had found one of the seven doors unlocked and a couple other minor issues. After several messages back-and-forth with that person and my two brothers and their spouses Are determined that the check out in securing of the house was done properly. One of my brothers and his spouse are property owners and renters also. They documented the closing of the property with photos and videos. After sharing that information with the person I was dealing with The accusations of being in properly secured we’re not pursued by the owner or the manager. Regarding the refund and the damage deposit I was told it would be remitted at some point. I could not learn when that remittance of the damage deposit would be made back to me. All of the payments and fees that are used to secure the property were paid immediately upon request and I would expect the damage deposit to be returned to me in a timely manner and as a state it has not. Other than that checkout process Thursday was very good the property is lovely comfortable and well equipped for cooking.
