About this property

We are two artists who enjoy sharing our home to caring and curious guests!

Warm, well-appointed private contemporary retreat with pool near Denver University and downtown Denver. Perfect for family reunions, small retreats or using as home base with friends to see a show at Red Rocks.

This will be our fifth year renting out our home and we are committed to you having an amazing experience.

The pool is open May-September with all the grilling essentials and an outdoor bathtub and shower. There is also a roof deck with seating to take in the beautiful sunsets.

We have plenty of amazing, 5-star reviews on AirBnB! We have recently added VRBO.

A reminder, that only registered, overnight guests can enjoy this retreat experience. No parties and please honor the simple house-rules listed in the guide book (e.g., we are a no-shoes house).
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

Great place to stay

We enjoyed our stay at this home very much! Pool and outdoor space were great. The home was comfortable-including the beds. Property owner was very helpful with suggestions for dining and with any questions. We would highly recommend this property.

You may think this home is called the Art House because of its collection of portraits, abstracts, posters, collages on its many walls or propped up on the floor. But that's only part of it. Everywhere you look there is something quirky or even eccentric: little vintage toys here or a large lounge chair there that looks like it came from a 1970's beauty parlor wash sink. There are metal industrial cabinets used for storing dishes and booze. Most impressive of all is the collection of succulents scattered everywhere throughout the home: petite cups to towering cactus to gargoyle like hanging baskets. I particularly liked the many terrariums that are each an ecosystem onto themselves.Seven of us were coming in on early flights from the East Coast. Peter accommodated us on an early check in so we could crash and get our bearings. The big binder book was very helpful in explaining the house, where you could get good takeout close by and other tips. The house is situated right off a terrific walking path/Green Belt that is a popular place for runners, dog walkers, bicyclists. And the neighborhood of University Park is close to places where we were hanging out over the weekend: Cherry Creek and Washington Park as well as Red Rocks, which was only a 30-minute drive.The house was well stocked, in working order, comfortable and just full of personality. If you want the sterile sameness of a chain hotel, don't come to the Art House!

What makes this property unique

Our contemporary home is warm, unique, new, clean and filled with amazing art! The private backyard has an in-ground pool surrounded by lush plants, a fire pit, and several large seating areas. The house has an open floor plan with a large kitchen with seating for 6 in the middle island, as well as room for several people cooking in the large space with top-of-the-line stovetops and cookwares. The dining room seats 8 and features comfortable leather chairs and adjustable lighting. All three floors have gas fireplaces and comfortable couches, with TV's setup to Netflix. We are centrally located in Denver next to the University of Denver, close to a diverse selection of restaurants, and light rail station.
