Great Vacation at Moonmist

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I, along with our daughter and her 2 children (9 and 5) thoroughly enjoyed our time spent at Moonmist Villa! The property was clean and well-maintained. The swimming pool in the complex was also very impressive (impeccably maintained), and a short walk. It was as if we had our own private pool! The public beach and Siesta Key Village and shops were a short drive away! We were there over the 4th of July and the condos with beach access across the street were having nothing to do with letting us "cut through"to the beach!

Owner's Response: There are two convenient public beach accesses -- one is less than 1/3 mile south and the "main" public beach with lifeguards, bathrooms and a snack bar is about 1 mile north. Most of the time the condos across the street will let you cut through, but on holiday weeks they hire extra guards to keep non-residents from using their access.

Lovely Villa with all the amenities

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay here in Siesta Key in your nice villa. It had everything we needed. It was close to the pool and the wonderful pier. We sat at the pier several evenings looking at the boats going by. We even used your fishing rods and caught several fish. The stay at Polynesian Gardens made our Florida stay complete.

Great Location, Perfect Configuration for Five Adults

  • 5 of 5

Five cousins from across the US converged for a week in May in this quiet beach house. We reconnected with nearby family, while exploring the soft-sand beach and the casual atmosphere of Siesta Key. We enjoyed every amenity that the roomy house provided: the comfy backyard jungle patio, the amply appointed kitchen and laundry, helpful instructions and recommendations for restaurants & activities, plenty of parking—even the bayside dock at sunset. Highly recommended!

Nice but in need of some TLC

  • 3 of 5

Location is great to the area. Private residence and nice common pool area but in need of some TLC. Very uncomfortable furniture in the family room/tv room, low seating in the living room and hard mattress in the king bed. Twin beds are close to floor so perfect for younger kids. This is the 3rd place we've stayed in Polynesian Gardens and definetly our least favorite.

Owner's Response: I'll start with the fact that the king bed is top of the line Stearns & Foster -- and yes it is firm but has a memory foam topper. I can only guess that since all the comments are about "hard" surfaces that these people prefer big squishy furniture. Otherwise, I think you can see from all the other reviews that most people find this villa charming and comfortable.

Relaxing vacation in Siesta Keys

  • 5 of 5

We had a lovely family vacation in Siesta Keys and we where staying 10 days in "Moonmist". Fantastic location and really nice area. Our kids (13 & 15 yrs) really loved the house and surroundings. Afternoons at the fishing dock and late night swims at the beach. Highly recommended place.

Only small struggle we had was the beach access, we tried all alternatives but best was public access, even if that was a bit of a walk from the house.
