ABOUT THE OWNER:

My husband and I are both in the telecommunications industry and we have two beautiful daughters, who love soccer, animals and sleep-overs. We live in Littleton, Colorado and love to ski, hike, bike, snow mobile, camp, vacation and party with friends. My husband is a third-generation native Coloradan and graduate of Colorado State University. I'm a native Californian, a graduate of University of Denver, who could just never bring myself to leave this beautiful state.

Why Becky Shaw chose Winter Park Area

FROM THE OWNER:

When we first started out together in the early 1990's, we worked on the Ski Train to Winter Park for three years. The laid back pace of Winter Park,all the activities it offers and the beauty of the Fraser Valley was right up our alley. One day on the lift, I said, 'Wouldn't it be cool to have a condo up here some day?' Little did I know it, but my husband started a savings account right after that and surprised me with it one day after hearing about the opportunity with Trailhead Lodges. Thirteen years later, we were able to realize our dream with the coziest condo I could ever could have dreamed up. There's still something simply good about hard work and the pursuit of happiness.

What makes this condo unique

FROM THE OWNER:

While it has all the comforts of a good vacation property, like a pool and hot tub, HDTV with surround sound, an iPod dock,washer and dryer in the unit and an open floor plan, it comes down to the old adage: location, location, location. Our condo is on the ground floor with a sliding glass door that opens to a little grassy (or snowy!) yard and wrap-around porch with a swing that looks right out at Hide Away Park. In the winter, there's a sledding hill a stone's throw away and the whole park is lit up in holiday lights at night. Plus, the bus stop that takes you to Winter Park Village is directly across the street. In the summer, the playground and skateboard park give it a fun playful atmosphere and a terrific venue for great concerts on select weekends. That coupled with great restaurants, shopping and the bike or walking path a block or two away in the heart of Winter Park makes this the ideal getaway for our family and friends, as well as yours. Welcome to the mountains!

Beautiful home conveniently located to Winter Park!

I visited here in January with a few women from my church and it was so lovely! The condo was bigger in person than in the pictures too. It was very clean and comfortable to stay in! The bus to Winter Park is about a 6 minute walk from the condo and from there, it took no more than 10 minutes to be at Winter Park Resort. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to come back!

Great WP home away from home (winter & summer)

Perfect Winter Park spot!

We have stayed here several times in both winter and summer ...and ALWAYS find it hard to leave. Extremely comfortable, well equiped, works well for 2 or 10, ideal location (15 mins from door to lift at Mary Jane), kids love the pool and pool table ...and the wonderful park just steps away, easy walk to restaurants, shopping, movies, rec center, and more. We hike, bike, fish, snow shoe, and Nordic ski out the back door., bunk beds rock, always warm and confortable with fireplace and floor heat...and everything works! We will be back!

Better than Home

The home was beautifully decorated. It had everything: PLENTY of extra linens and pillows, all of the kitchen items we could possibly need, all bathroom potions in a convenient dispenser in the showers, a spacious front hall closet for all of our ski equipment, tv with cable (Dish/Direct?) in both bedrooms and the living room, huge dining room table, wifi, washer & dryer and radiant floor heat! The kids LOVED the bunk beds. I was happy that they couldn't fight over the top bunk. And the giant stuffed dog was a big hit. The master bedroom has a very nice mattress though a little too soft for us. It was so nice to be on the first floor though the elevator would have made it super easy if not. We never heard any neighbors. Super peaceful and quiet. Absolutely perfect.

Wonderful mountain getaway!

We have just returned from our vacation in Winterpark and we had such a great time! This condo was perfect for our family of 5. We have 3 boys- ages 12, 10, and 6. There was plenty of room. The pictures do not do this condo justice. It is decorated beautifully and very comfortable. We loved the location, being across from the sled park and 10 minutes from the mountain. The property mgr, Becky, was very easy to work with and the owners were also very accommodating. We will definitely be staying here next yr. Loved it!
