Charming and a terrific location!

  • 5 of 5

The perfect spot for our annual gals getaway. The location is ideal - an easy walk to anything! The main level is a lovely space to hang out and catch up. The kitchen is well appointed and dining room is spacious. Laundry was a terrific bonus! Bedrooms were cozy with lovely linens. The home was truly ideal and despite the rain we had a fabulous weekend. Can't want to visit such a charming place again soon!

Warm Cozy Home within short walking distance of USNA & State Street

  • 5 of 5

My family consisting of four people spent 4 nights in this charming place. Our son plays football for Navy and we were in town for the Army Navy game. While the game didn't come out the way we hoped (that will change next year), it was nice to bring our son to a house and be able to relax. Including him, we had 5 people for 24 hours and had plenty of room. This was so much nicer than a hotel and its proximity to downtown and the USNA is awesome. As stated in many reviews, the house is exactly as depicted in the photos. The first floor is spacious with new kitchen appliances, a small fireplace/stove, and was decorated for Christmas. Very nice with room to spread out. There is also a half bath and the couch makes out into a bed. Upstairs, though older looking has two bedrooms with three beds. A queen in the master bedroom, and a double and single bed in the second bedroom. There is also a full bath/shower. Be aware if you are tall that the upstairs ceiling and door frames are low. At 6'3" i managed to only bang my head once. The owner furnishes parking passes but finding a parking space was very challenging. If possible, renting a smaller size vehicle would help. Since we had a lot of luggage we rented a Ford Explorer and were only able to park in front of the residence one night. There is a parking garage about a 10 minute walk away that charges $20 for overnight parking. This is where we had to park 3 of the 4 nights. Having said this, I think anyone who is familiar with the streets near downtown Annapolis would't be surprised this could happen. It is certainly not a deal breaker. Overall, I would highly recommend the house. As stated above, it so much nicer and accommodating for spending time together than a hotel. The owners were accessible and great to work with. Five Stars!!!

LOVE LOVE Beautifully renovated historic Annapolis cozy get-a-way

  • 5 of 5

Even better than the photos! What a lovely gem, I wish it were mine. CLEAN CLEAN. Historic Annapolis outside your door was so fun to explore yet quick trip if we wanted to come back home to rest again. Easy friendly communication with the owners, they were very accommodating. We had a long drive to arrive near midnight and the place was perfect. We pulled right up on the curb and easily unlocked the door with the code provided. Stepped into a tasteful classy living room that was warm and cozy. Gorgeous yet comfortable...It was like we were home. Everything was easy to figure out, unlike other places we have rented in historic Annapolis. Perfectly appointed, had everything we needed and wanted..including parking passes! Lovely gas stove for ambiance and warmth. Bedrooms and bathrooms were very clean and comfortable... Thought was taken when designing the renovation even down to the placement of mirrors on the wall. We slept so well on the comfy beds and all were able to gather at the dining table for meals. Thank you for making the most of your beautiful space and keeping some of the historic charm with modern appointments. We will definitely visit you again!

Perfect location!

  • 5 of 5

We were in Annapolis for a long weekend to attend our USNA 10 year reunion. The listing was exactly as described and the house was spotless. We definitely wanted proximity to restaurants and the Academy and were willing to sacrifice space. But to be completely honest the rooms were even bigger than they looked in the pictures. The downstairs couch is now a pullout which was also nice. I also have to comment on the fact that the ceilings are a little low but we didn't have any issue since we are all under 6 feet tall!

Sherry is amazing. She was very accommodating with our check out time and quick to answer any emails/questions!

If you stay at this house you have to go to Iron Rooster for breakfast/brunch (make reservations early on Open Table or you will wait an hour) and Dry 85 for cocktails and dinner.

Thanks so much for a great weekend and we will definitely be back again!!!
