Great Apartment in Sea Colony

We have been renting in Sea Colony for over 30 years. This apartment was well taken care of and the upgrades were very much appreciated. It worked out perfectly out perfectly for our family — one toddler and three adults. We look forward to staying here again.

Lovely Week

Great location steps to the beach. Quiet and relaxing; just what we needed. Home was clean and comfortable. Noted some feedback on rust around fridge - but you are only there a week - not a big deal to us. If you need a hair dryer would bring it with you as the home does not have one.

Great views!

IH702 offered a wonderful, relaxing time away from home. The balcony offered great views straight on the ocean & we enjoyed the relaxing sounds of the waves. Newly purchases, you can tell the owners are working to provide a nice space. We'll be back next year!

Island House is our favorite building at Sea Colony. Best thing about 702 IH condo is location with ocean view facing south. Unit needs a facelift especially kitchen, bathrooms and track lighting in living room. New carpet looks great!

Not up kept very old appliances. Was not cleaned well. Beautiful view. Box left behind. Coffee pot not cleaned. Broken covered in coffee old pot in closet. Dirty towel in closet. Food left in cabinets. Stain on comforter.

Great view

The ocean view made up for the cleanliness of the condo and it being really out dated. There was a leak above the toilet from the unit above. The ceiling was wet and stained. A man showed up unannounced to inspect it. The fixtures were all very old and rusty. We could see the ocean from the master suite and the living room. The amenities of the resort were nice. But the pool was very dirty considering they closed every two hours to clean and sanitize. We noticed the same trash and shirt sitting by the pool for several days. Lifeguards were not friendly at all. The condo was within walking distance to numerous shops and restaurants. We walked across the street every night to get ice cream. We will definitely be back to Sea Colony and plan to stay in a different condo. We stayed in the Island House and that is the very last building so it is farther away from the shops and main entrance.

Much Needed Vacation

We needed a change of venue after the stay at home order for COVID was lifted in DE. This condo had a nice view of the ocean, the complex was self-contained (only members could be on that beach or use their pools-thorough cleaning every 2 hours on the pools), it was across the street from a Dunkin and a few restaurants, and just a short walk to the main street in Bethany. The condo was clean. There were new dressers in all the bedrooms, we paid for the linen services which provides clean towels, bed linens, make the beds and dishwasher detergent/soap/tp/papertowel starter kit (I would recommend!). Nice art work throughout. Only negative (and not really) there wasn't a single empty cabinet in the kitchen for food. After some rearranging, I found the space I needed. It was just what we needed! A nice bonus: the beach to the right of this condo complex is also a private beach for those beachfront homes - so the area was never too crowded. REGARDING low rating for Property Manager: I know we are dealing with COVID, but there were not nearly enough employees on at 4PM to handle check-in. I stood in line for 40 minutes. I got in line at 4:15PM. The line behind me just grew. Additionally, the communication was abysmal prior to our arrival. I sent an email (website said response time is usually 1 day - I heard back 9 days later). I ended up calling before I received the return email because I never received the welcome letter and didn't know what was going on. I waited on hold for 45 minutes before someone was able to speak to me. When I did get a CSR on the phone, she was great. In the end it all worked out. I hope COVID was the reason for such poor service.

Completely Happy!

The property was so wonderful. Private feeling balcony with a beautiful ocean view. Both coffee makers were broken but the property management company brought over a brand new one the same morning as our phone call. Easy check in and check out process ! If you want privacy at Sea Colony but access to everything this is the unit to rent! We plan to return next season. Thank you owners for making your property available!
