Our stay was fantastic. The house was exactly as shown and had plenty of room. There was plenty of kitchen appliances and dinnerware that made eating meals at home easy and fun. The house was artfully decorated and was like a mini-museum with interesting artwork and sculptures. The pool was clean and outdoor setup excellent. Highly recommend to families or larger group of friends.
The house was very nice and great for family. Pool also was nice but not heated. The lawn had not been mowed in some time, but the owner responded promptly. Antoine was very responsive and made our time enjoyable
The evening we arrived a rain storm caused a brief power outage throughout town and our fab hosts brought candles over pronto so the 8 of us could grill outside and dine by candlelight. Thus began a magical week of exploring the area-from Willsboro NY to Burlington VT in between swimming in the pool and playing pool! The house is filled with art and comfy beds and really everything we needed for rest and relaxation. Much thanks!

Overall this is a great location to explore New York and Vermont. Plenty of space to spread out and the kids enjoyed the pool and pool table. The boys liked having a workout room to keep up with their routine. Unique artwork through out the home. Home could have used a refresh clean before our stay as it may have had a gap between guests. It was heavy pollen season when we stayed and the owner had someone come out daily to keep the pool clean during our stay. Owner was easy to communicate with and responded quickly.

The house has a lot of character. We enjoyed the amazing artwork, large dining table, pool table, private gym, fire circle & even the carriage step down in front. It is challenging place to have 2 toddlers, however the 6 bedrooms, & 3 bathrooms accommodated our family gathering as described. (Did wish for a tub) We also enjoyed the Amish horse & buggies passing directly by the house. The house was clean & beds were appropriately made up & ready for us. The historical house has a furnace that had not been turned on for the season. The house has a more modern wing which is heated with electric baseboard and space heaters. House was 62 upon our arrival and we struggled to warm it up that first afternoon and night. The owner was responsive to all concerns and questions. However, there was a significant delay in receiving those responses. We found the electric heaters to be sufficient for the remainder of our stay as they had time to warm up the common rooms when kept on continuously. Unfortunately the swimming pool which was a main reason we booked this location, was not accessible to us during our stay. Although the owner had confirmed that he would keep the pool open and heated for us one week longer than typical into the fall, on the day of our arrival he reported to us that a deer had drowned in the pool rendering the pool unusable. While he did offer and provide a 500 refund, the loss of the swimming pool was a big factor in our choosing to leave one day early.
Would nvr rent here again .House was extremely musty. Some rooms we would not consider entering because must smell overwhelming.
Dining rm chairs seats were all food stained, All cookware had to be cleaned prior to using (dirty or greasy) Pans completely scratched and worn need to be thrown away .Coffee maker and toaster filthy and should be thrown out we would not use them so we purchased coffee at the market, small appliances all dirty and we would not use those either , cooktop dirty ,hood covered in dust , food left in refrig by others , Fly paper hanging in kitchen with dead flies.. Pool not
usable as water was cloudy and nvr cleared up. We were told "caretaker" would clean pool daily(that nvr happened) . Cob webs hanging from chandeliers, Overall house was very dirty . House situated across street from a mobile home, rear yard and rear deck were the only good features of house . Overpriced
Planning a vacation can be a stressful situation. This was my 1st experience claborating one including my extended family. Once I solidified our plans with Antoine, It was smooth sailing from there. Our home for the week was large, offered private space for our different families and ages of youth, while also offering large gathering areas to get together and socialize. The pool was a necessity., the gym was a huge bonus as my two 20+ sons are dedicated to their workouts. Antoine was an attentive host, even alerting us of a temporary power outage from the utility company, which we unaware of as we were out sightseeing for the day. Highly recommend and would stay again if we ventured up that way again.
