Cedar Key Village is part of a larger community called Cedar Key Estates. Most of the Cedar Key Estates are full time residents. Realtors have a waiting list of people who want to purchase in Cedar Key because we live on the largest no wake cove on the lake. It is over 60 acres. The mile long drive to to reach Cedar Key village is heavily treed, which offers a spectacular entrance into our resort, especially in the fall.. There are ten smaller cabins and my larger home that make up Cedar Key Village.
Easy access to the cabin, just one step and you enter a one level living space.
Just installed a RFG whole house air purification system. Proven to kill 99.99% surface and air viruses, including Covid 19. According to their literature RGF® Environmental Group, Inc., a leading environmental design and manufacturing company, has released the results of a third-party test that proves the PHI-PKG14 PHI-CELL® product with Photohydroionization® technology inactivates greater than 99.96% of airborne SARS-CoV-2 virus. The report is the first-of-its-kind to test for viral reductions occurring within the actual air. Utilizing a direct air sampling method rather than surface or in-duct measurements, researchers analyzed the efficacy of neutralizing airborne SARS-CoV-2.

Also you can walk the road or take the 75 steps down to the waterfront. The walk down the steps to the waterfront is surrounded by beautiful gardens on both sides, please see the pictures.
The house is appointed with every pot and pan, dish and glassware imaginable. Many of our guests have told us it is far better equipped than their own homes. We also provide an array of spices.
Our no wake 60 acres cove is famous for its abundance and variety of fish. It is where the strippers spawn every year and fisherman catch bass, muskies and cat fish right off our docks. You will see an exciting array of wildlife including eagles, owls, ospreys, hummingbirds, wild turkey and of course deer but we also have several albino deer which are spectacular to see if you are lucky.
Because the cove is “no wake” you can swim, kayak, paddle board and canoe without being disturbed by jet skies and motor boats, a rarity on the lake. We are only a 500' to the entrance to the main channel so you have go far before you can produce a wake. The cove is surrounded by a 2000 acre wildlife mountainous nature preserve so your views are of deep woods, silhouetted by Smith Mountain and its surrounding mountains. Smith Mountain Lake has 22,000 acres of clean water and has 500 miles of shoreline.

About the host
Hosted by Alicia Yowell
We are both retired and loving it! We were the original developers of Cedar Key. We purchased it in 1983 when it was a operated as resort since the 1970's. We have loved Cedar Key and have been an active member to maintain its beauty and serenity.
My husband worked for the Farm Credit Administration for over 30 years as its Chief Financial Analyst. I was a social worker for years in the District and then worked as a Realtor for 22 years in Northern Virginia. We have three wonderful adult children who love Cedar Key. We made wonderful memories here as I know you will.
Why they chose this property
Amazing views of the lake and mountains surrounded by deep woods. There are very few homes on the lake that have such a beautiful view. The gardens in front of the cabin are simply lovely. My husband worked hard for four years to create this magic for you! The all cedar cabin is very well maintained and always spotlessly clean. Read the reviews, everyone just loves it. It is simply charming and inviting. You will not want your vacation to end.
