In the Winter, this central location provides prime access to a multitude of Big Sky's winter activities! If you are looking to downhill ski, take a short ten-minute drive up the hill to Big Sky Resort, home of the "Biggest Skiing in America!" If cross country skiing is more your cup of tea, it's only a 4-minute drive to Lone Mountain Ranch to enjoy over 80 miles of world-class nordic trails. Big Sky's own skating rink is also located in Big Sky's Town Center, during the winter months. (Weather Dependent)

Enjoy all that Big Sky has to offer in the summer, with live music at the "Music in the Mountains" weekly concert series and the savory/sweet treats at the Big Sky Farmers Market. There are plenty of hiking trails that you can walk to including the Hummocks and Uplands trails. Most homes in Big Sky don't, thanks to our typically mild summer temperatures. For a true Montana experience, we recommend our classic "Montana A/C": open the windows at night to let in the cool mountain air, then close them and draw the blinds first thing in the morning to keep the cool air inside throughout the remainder of the day.

Transportation to Big Sky From Bozeman Airport:
In order to experience all that Big Sky has to offer, it is helpful to have access to a vehicle during your stay. This allows you to travel seamlessly throughout the community from the Gallatin River to Lone Peak. While ride-sharing and taxi services are abundant in other communities, Big Sky remains a small town with limited options for transportation. They are located minutes away from the Bozeman Airport and provide 4-wheel drive vehicles with dedicated snow tires in the winter and all-season tires in the summer!
