License number: 2025-STR-1040.This adorable cabin has been completely remodeled on the inside and out and is less than 20 miles from the Wolf Creek Ski area and surrounded by thousands of acres of national forest, this is a true gem! Inside, the all-wood interior, comfortable furniture, and lots of western cowboy themes. The homeowners are related to Charles Goodnight, whose incredible story was the basis for the Lonesome Dove Saga and the pride and heritage of this western favorite are apparent in every corner of this rustic home. The first bedroom has a king-size bed and the second room has two double beds. You'll have a private washer/dryer available to take care of everyone's dirty laundry, so you can afford to pack light for your trip, and the free WiFi makes researching a new recipe quick and easy. Good thing too, because the full kitchen is well-equipped with stainless steel appliances, beautiful cookware, and ample counter space to make tonight's home-cooked meal a joy to prepare. Serve your guests at the wood dining table while the dishwasher knocks out the dirty dishes. The furnished patio will make an evening of stargazing a delightful experience.

Great ski cabin!

Overall, this cabin is everything you could want in a ski cabin within 20 minutes of the slopes at Wolf Creek. Very stylish and comfortable with all the amenities. The property manager was great, giving us text reminders of how to fulfill all the terms of the rental agreement without being too intrusive.

Convenient location and well stocked cabin

My family and I enjoyed this well stocked cabin for a week during the summer of COVID. The cabin is very clean, has all the amenities of a home, everything you need to cook meals and entertain the family. The property owner was easy to get in touch with when we had questions. We enjoyed sitting outside watching the wildlife and the location is convenient to a variety of activities.

Return to Lonesome Dove

Lovely remodeled cabin which is tastefully decorated that is just large enough but cozy. Secluded but not too secluded...centrally located in Southfork. Cabin was clean with comfortable bed and linens....and best of all...had a washer and dryer...in case your stay is an extended stay like mine. Host very friendly and check in and check out easy.

Lonesome Dove cabin

The cabin was perfect and close to everything in South Fork since we went skiing. The only downside was we couldn't get the TV to operate .

Lonesome Dove in South Fork

Loved the cabin and decor. The cabin sleeps 4 but the coffee machine brews 1 cup at a time. The bathroom sink looks cool and in style, but impractical once you brush your teeth since it does not drain properly.

nice little house

Small but mighty. Definitely no more than 4 people unless they're kids . Worked great as we stayed there while working. Master bed is very firm if you like it that way. The keyless entry did not work but luckily the key access box did.
