Cabin On River's Edge is a family-sized log cabin sitting on the banks of Cosby Creek, one of the Blue Ribbon trout streams of the Great Smoky Mountains. Children can wade, fish, swim, and float up and down this stream, ranging in depth from 1 to 3 feet in most places.
Families will enjoy the very spacious and private grounds - the property sits on 3 acres of gently-sloping hills. View the meadows and mountains from the front porch, and the ever-rushing waters of Cosby Creek from the back porches.
Kids and grown-ups love the huge basement game room, complete with ping pong, pool table, air hockey, and a 65 inch HDTV! River's Edge also has a nice-sized utility room complete with washer & dryer.
Cabin On River's Edge is comfortably appointed with fine furnishings and decor, and has a complete kitchen and large dining area for great family meals together.
Cabin On River's Edge is only 10 minutes from the Cosby Entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and is less than a mile from the famous Carver's Apple House & Restaurant! Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge are each a 25 minute drive.

Our family had a blast at the cabin when we were there. There isn't much around, so if you need a store it will take at least 15 minutes to get to one. The beds were very comfortable and the game room was a big hit. We enjoyed spending time together in the open area on the main floor and playing cards. It was a little chilly, so we didn't do much at the stream but we did enjoy the view and the nice breeze.
We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay at River’s Edge.

It was very nice! Basement could use an update but other than that all was perfect!
My family and I really enjoyed our stay! Everything was very clean and nice. We had a wonderful time. The basement could use an update but other than that all great! Thank you!
Perfect mountain vacation!
We drove in from Texas to enjoy a quiet family vacation with our 3 teenage daughters. We wanted to stay away from the commercialized Gatlinburg, but be close enough to if desired.
The cabin was perfect! It's exactly as described and pictured. The cabins on our side of the river were far apart. There are a couple across the river, but you still feel like you have privacy. Plus the mountain view from the spacious front yard was nice, but breathtaking as you drove out the driveway.
The girls, as well as us, enjoyed just chilling in a tube on the river. You don't go far, but just the sound of the creek and the floating propped up on a rock sipping a cold one was nice. Coffee on the deck was heavenly. There is ample space and good cell service. Just ask for wifi password :).
The basement was a family favorite. After a day of hiking, rafting or whatever activity we chose, having a fun hangout was nice. Pool, ping pong and air hockey!
Thank you for sharing your cabin. It was a memorable vacation for sure!!
Family get a Way
The property was quiet and peaceful, the cabin was clean and the beds and pillows were better than most places we have stayed. Our main priority was 'fishing', which I was assured the creek was a good trout stream. It definitely was a great stream for trout, but, there were none. A neighbor said stocking of trout at that location had been discontinued. My husband is sick he was looking forward to fishing. After a few days of seeing none, he quit throwing his hook in the water. That was a very expensive disappointment to him. Nancy R.
I am sorry to hear that you all didn't catch fish. I was there just last week and we caught (and released) several, including one that was about 13 inches.
Cosby Creek is one of our favorite fly fishing streams in the Smokies. We have fly fisher it for years and have caught and released lots of trout !
Totally loved it!!
Listening to the creek from the deck was the highlight of our stay. It was so peaceful and relaxing We also played pool, air hockey, ping pong, and brought our badminton set and croquet set. We brought a raft for the river and plenty of board games. Did not miss the TV at all. Our stay was perfect.
We are delighted that you enjoyed the cabin. Come back and see us soon!
We will be back
We truly enjoyed our family getaway. We wanted a place we could relax and it was perfect. We loved the sounds of the river and beds were comfy. We have no complaints. We hope to make this our return destination every year, we visit frequently and have decided this is our favorite cabin we have ever stayed in. Thank you for the warmth and love that went into your home.
Renee, thank you so much for the kind words. We would love to have you back at River's Edge at any time.
