Wonderful house for family summer vacation

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time! The house is lovely and fully stocked with linens, towels, paper goods, games and life jackets - everything we needed for 2 families with children (ages 6-16) to enjoy swimming and boating on the lake and family dinners on the porch. The kayaks and paddle board and pedal boat were all in great condition and we used them every day. The location is quiet and the shallow stretch of water at the edge of the lake allowed the youngest children to play while the adults and older children ventured out to explore the lake. For swimmers, the water is clear and cool. We would definitely come back!

Owner's Response: I’m so happy you and your family enjoyed our home! We would love you to come back for another visit anytime. The shallow (and calm) water is definitely one of the features I love the most as well! Have a wonderful rest of the Summer!

Perfect weekend stay. Property exactly as described and pictured.

  • 5 of 5

Can’t say enough positive things about this rental. It was our first time renting a home for a vacation and we couldn’t have been more pleased. Judie, the renter was so accessible throughout the entire process. From the moment we applied to rent til we returned home. She was always available via email. The house was beautifully decorated with many unique touches. More than enough room. Two fireplaces. Cozy clean!!! bedrooms. Well stocked kitchen amenities. The proximity of the house to the lake and deck was just steps away. We all enjoyed every bit of the “toys” provided....kayaks, paddle boat, life preservers, fire pit, Adirondack chairs. We were grandparents with children and grandchildren and we all enjoyed! Also only minutes from all the fun and restaurants of Lake George.

Wonderful Lakefront Vacation House

  • 5 of 5

My friends and I enjoyed our stay at this wonderful lakefront vacation house very much for a short weekend! Judie is a very nice host, and prepared her vacation house for us very well even though I requested to book in the last minute. The scenery of the lake is so beautiful in winter covered with snow. The decorations in the house are just lovely. My friends and I went out skiing this weekend, but I definitely would like to visit again in summer time in the future to enjoy the lake!

We surely did live happily ever after!

  • 5 of 5

Our extended family of seven (ages 8-80!) spent the holiday weekend at Camp Happily Ever After and we now understand where it gets its name! Our host was fantastic with communication and help regarding questions about local places to visit. We spent our days hiking trails like Shelving Rock Falls and Pilot Knob, fishing in Hadlock Pond, and paddling and peddling around in our host's boats. During the evening, we had wonderful campfires where we sang and told ghost stories, and also hung out in the porch hammock swings. In between it all, we enjoyed the lovely house that is expertly decorated with an upscale Adirondack feel and where the online pictures do not do it justice. The kitchen is well appointed with all the must-have's so leave your paper and plastic supplies at home--they have it all. The only drawback was that our vacation was too short but we all agree, it was a time where we did live happily ever after.

Beautiful, relaxing, has everything

  • 5 of 5

The house was beautiful and had all modern amenities wifi, cable. Comfortable beds. Lovely gas fireplaces. Fully stocked with linens, paper products, kitchen essentials. Great location...Close to town but also close to other shops, restaurants in Fort Ann area. We stayed here with another couple and 5 young children and thoroughly enjoyed it.
