We have stayed here for the past 2 years after staying at other places and the family agrees this is always the best option …. We love the privacy of being the last home with only 1 neighbor and the pool is an added bonus. We highly recommend this place as it close to local places such as eating, shopping and easy access to the beach. The golf course cart was easy to rent too! This place is always so clean and has added accommodations to cook and do laundry 👍🏻

Great House and Pool

6 adults and 1 child totally enjoyed our stay. The pool was a big hit and was used daily. Easy access to beach with truck or golf cart. We cooked in nightly and enjoyed plenty of room for eating and playing games. A good time was had by all.

Great spring break vacation

The home was very clean and had everything we needed ready to go! The 92 degree pool felt amazing after swimming in the 66 degree ocean! We used their boogie boards and other toys at the beach as well. When we had an issue one night with Netflix not working we called and the owner answered right away and helped us to get it working properly. We would definitely stay here again!

Loved it!

We really enjoyed the house! It was clean and comfortable. We slept 10 with no problems. Unfortunately it was too cold to use the pool but would've loved it if we could have. The owners were easy to reach and quick to respond with any questions we had. We would definitely stay there again!

It was very nice - the house and the pool + having a bathroom by the pool.

We had a super time - the house and the pool/pool house turned out great for our family vacation. We ate at Finn's & that was a great place to eat. The house being situated as it was & the unpaved road leading to main road was a little worrisome with the traffice that came thru unexpectedly. Overall we loved the place. Thank you.

Memorial Holiday Getaway

My family group of 11 enjoyed our stay here. The home was spacious, and we really appreciated that there are 3 full bathrooms inside the house, plus another outside for the pool. The pool isn’t huge, 3.5 to 4.5 ft deep, but it was more than adequate and got the job done. The house is among a row of very similar houses but since it is the very last house on the short street, you only have one neighbor and plus an empty lot across the street. This made for as quiet a location as one could hope for during a busy holiday weekend on the island. Despite very warm and humid weather, the a/c performed great. We never had to lower the thermostat to stay comfortable. While I wouldn't say the beach is within walking distance, it is a very short and convenient drive without having to get on the main road. Great place and location!

First trip to Port A

Listed as a family beach escape, but the walk to the beach was not a short walk and we never received a 25%discount code to rent a golf cart, but come to find out many of the rentals in the area came with it...ours did not. The ice machine was on property as stated on the listing, so we had to run back oput to the store. The kitchen was not fully stocked as we had to purchase a baking sheet to make cookies and a baking pan to make brownies. The description stated at the end of a private drive, but we had more traffic turining around all day then we had private. We have been to many beach homes in different areas in the past and this home was clean but was lackluster in our experience. It was overbearingly warned that this was their family home in every communication written and even had pictures of their family in the rental. It made us feel like we were invading and that anything misplaced or broken was going to cost us. Unlike other rentals that have a list of do's and don't this rental seemed to charge...nickel and dime for anything that could go possibly wrong in their family home making it difficult to full relax. The pictures depicted on the listing are awesome, but better than the actual space upon arrival. I felt a little bait and switched. My daughter used the restroom by the pool, but unfortunately was locked inside. The elements rust and warp the door and lock. The owner was prompt on sending help, so that was very nice but she did not have a key to the bathroom nor the code for the keypad to enter as they had been installed by the previous owner. Imagine having your daughter locked in a bathroom. We were afraid to force or do anything to the door for fear of being charged. At the end of the day, the kids spent the time at the very small pool in the backyard as the beach itself was a journey, we followed all the rules to the T, we made the best of the trip but we would not return to this home. As described above we never truly were able to relax, distance to the beach was further than described, pictures were misleading, the constant reminder that this was their family home, lack of kitchen equipment, clean but stained sheets, the rental price did not equate to the upkeep of the property(paint chipping etc), constant traffic on the road for vehicles(cars and carts) turning around and the overall price seemed expensive for the home we received. This home may be better for other families, but it did not resonate well with ours.

Family vacation

The house was clean and neat, with plenty of room for our family. The children really enjoyed the pool. We would stay here again if we were coming to this area. My only complaint is with the description of it being a short walk to the beach. It was a 17 minute walk, according to Google maps. I don’t know for sure, because we never tried walking it. We were always bringing beach bags, chairs, coolers, a canopy , and young children, so we always took our golf cart plus a car. The beach is about a 5 to 10 minute drive, and unless you get there fairly early in the morning, you can count on driving at least another 5 to 10 minutes to find a place to park.

2022 Family Vacation

This was our 2nd stay at this property for our family vacation. We like the location because it is convenient with easy access to beach, shops and restaurants, yet still has a private feeling away from busy traffic and noise . The home is very comfortable and the pool provides a relaxing break from the beach.

Family Beach Trip

Great place for our family beach trip. House is beautifully decorated and perfect for accommodating family. Everyone enjoyed the pool and the short golf cart ride to the beach. We had one minor issue, contacted management and issue was promptly resolved. We will definitely be back.

Wonderful Week in Port A

The house was beautiful...Kitchen stocked with all you need to cook your meal. Keurig and Mr. Coffee was great. Pool was absolutely wonderful for the grandkids and all of US adult kids.

Great place to stay!

A group of 12 stayed at this property for a Bachelorette weekend. There was plenty of room for each of us. We enjoyed the private pool access. Great location and not a far drive to the beach. The property was very clean and beautiful! I’d definitely recommend this house to a friend. Would stay there again.

We, Russ & Kathy, are native Texans who grew up on Port Aransas beaches. This is truly our happy place. We can see the place we spent the first part of our honeymoon from our beach home’s porch. It's a special place filled with a lifetime of memories. We absolutely love everything about Port A (searching for sea shells, building sandcastles, cruising the town on warm summer nights with an ice cream in hand) and are excited to share it with you and your family. Our goal is to provide families a comfortable space to return to year after year making memories to last a lifetime.

Why they chose this property

Great fit for multiple families or multi-generation family trip. Far enough from 11th to keep noise to a minimum (important to us mom's of littles), but close enough to enjoy everything about Port A. A private pool is such a plus especially for smaller kiddos who can't get enough of the water and the space under the house is great for evening grilling and games.

What makes this property unique

Private pool, heated November - April, on demand. On demand means you will need to turn on heater and allow a couple hours for pool temp to come up to a comfortable 85-90 degrees.
