Geoff & Stacey were perfect hosts! Communication was perfect, we had everything we needed, and Geoff even proactively brought out a tarp for us to cover our bikes for storage one evening before it started raining. The apartment was spotless, private and had everything we needed for our family of four. The location is perfect - 10 minutes from Acadia and 10 minutes from Bar Harbor. We hope to be back soon!
Great location for hiking on the quiet side of MDI. Sparkling clean, gracious and helpful hosts, comfortable & thoughtfully equipped. Used as our base for hiking and enjoyed relaxing in the cozy and charming living/dining area at the end of the day. AC made it very comfortable and quiet. Not a full kitchen but appliances were more than sufficient for what we needed. A favorite! We hope to return.

Ideal guests. Very communicative and clean. Would love to host them again.
This property was ideally located near to Bar Harbor and Hull's Cove Visitor's Center.
The hosts were very friendly, easy to talk to, and available every time we asked for information about the area.
The home was extremely clean and comfortable and well stocked. The beds were very comfortable and the towels were plush. The air conditioning worked well. There were 2 tall mini-fridges that were more than adequate to store our breakfast and lunch supplies. We cooked several pasta lunches on an efficient hot plate. The TV is wall mounted and on a swivel so it can be viewed from the sofa or the table. There are several guest accounts such as Netflix and Amazon Prime that we enjoyed at the end of our day.
Acadia is an amazing and beautiful place, and having such a comfortable home to recharge each day was the icing on the cake!
We would absolutely return to this house if we were ever to return to Acadia.
We spent a week in Geoff and Stacey’s place in July 2021 and had a wonderful time.
The apartment is on the second floor of the house where the owners live. They took about two years in preparing the apartment for guests and their dedication really shows. The apartment is comfortable, with 2 bedrooms, a dining/ living room and a kitchenette/ laundry. The entrance is a private one and there is an extra half bathroom for guests at the entrance hall on the first floor. There is a lovely picnic area with a gas grill outdoors and ample parking space for two cars.
The apartment is in pristine conditions and is well equipped. The kitchen and the bathroom have all the basic utensils you will need. Geoff and Stacey have gathered books, local guides, puzzles and games to keep you entertained after returning from your busy days.
The location is fabulous. It takes only a few minutes to get to the Acadia National Park and to the towns of Bar Harbor, Trenton and Ellsworth. Nearby, the beautiful Somerville bridge and the outstanding Mount Desserts (a place that makes delicious homemade pie) are less than 0.4 miles walking distance.
Geoff and Stacey are wonderful hosts. Geoff waited for us at the door despite our late arrival. They are unobtrusive, but very kind and ready to provide local advice if needed.
Overall a great place to stay and feel at home. Highly recommend it.
Very clean and comfortable spot for visiting Acadia. Easy 15 minute drive to the main parts of the park. The house is very new, clean, and well designed. Host was a delight and easy to work with. We had a great visit and highly recommend the property.
This property was absolutely perfect for our short visit to Acadia. We loved that it was easy to access so many areas from the centralized location and that it was a bit quieter than the business of Bar Harbor. Geoff was a wonderful and attentive host and the actual space was perfect for our group- and the beds were so comfortable!!! Absolutely would stay here again if ever back in the area.
Great little home away from home. Very cute and had everything we needed. Geoff was always available to answer any questions. Washer and dryer was great so we could pack a little lighter. Also loved having the coffee maker and 2 compact refrigerators. Home very conveniently located to Bar Harbor and Southwest Harbor. Occasionally we would pass the driveway until we remembered to look for the flower pots with reflectors on either side. The games were a nice touch as well! Would definitely stay here again.
Very closed to lobster shack, Acadia national park and the beach!!! Geoff told us about this little paradise. Apartment comfortable and quiet. We could stow our bikes. Many thanks Geoff
We absolutely loved this rental. It was so clean. The beds were comfortable. The owner greeted us upon arrival and bid us farewell. The kitchen, laundry, and bath were stocked with all necessities. It was in a beautiful and quiet location; and by staying here, we were able to take advantage of the restaurants and shops the "quiet" side Mount Desert Island had to offer, which we enjoyed much more than the hustle and bustle found in Bar Harbor. As an avid traveler, I can't recommend enough. Thanks again for a wonderful stay!
Ideal Location for experiencing Acadia National Park!
My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Geoff greeted us warmly as we drove up to the property and everything we needed was readily available to us. It was a great loca!tion - short drives to hiking in Acadia, Bar Harbor, and the most beautiful sites this Wisconsinite has seen! I would definitely make a repeat visit. Maybe I should book now for next year? Thank you!!

The property was a fantastic stay and fit very well to our needs. The owner was very friendly and helped us with all the questions. He even provided us with the necessities needed for a fire in the fire pit when we wanted to have a relaxed evening with fire and drinks. I enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend to all.
Property was clean, quite and very private even though the family lived on the property. It was super close to Acadia and allowed us to come and go as we pleased. Would have loved staying longer to use some of the outdoor amenities. You do need to be able to go up stairs as the living space was on the 2nd story. Would definitely stay there again.
Acadia is one of our favorite places to visit. We enjoy heading out the door in the morning for a day of hiking and biking. Geoff and Stacey’s place is perfectly situated for quick access to the Park Loop Rd, Southwest Harbor, or Bar Harbor. The apartment is large and spick and span—it definitely passed my strict cleanliness standards! We found it a comfortable and restful retreat after long days on the trail. All in all, a terrific 5 days.
This home was the perfect fit for our group which was two couples on a weekend away. Geoff was extremely hospitable and accommodating and the location was convenient to downtown Bar Harbor and Acadia. Would definitely stay again!
