Completely remodeled and the closest 2 bedroom condo to the Village ski run. If the skiers coming down the village run failed to turn they would run right into our building. Move in and you won’t need your car again until it’s time to go home. Northstar Village is only steps away and has everything you will need for a wonderful winter or summer vacation. All rooms are small but well appointed with beautiful finishes and furnishings and everything you could need or want. Complete with down comforters and pillows.

Beautiful stone, natural gas, fireplace. Slab granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, bar seating for 6 and a kitchen that is fully equipped for gourmet cooking and dining. Flat screen TV with Bose surround sound will entertain you. Also a small “library” of DVD’s, CD’s, books, games and puzzles. There is a flat screen TV with built-in DVD player in the upstairs bedroom/bathroom and walk-in closet suite as well. This is a top floor unit which allows panoramic views and no one above you.

Our condo is on the upper level and there is no elevator. The building is not handicap "accessible." To get from the parking lot to the condo you must go down about 12 stairs and then up about 18 stairs "inside" the building. Once inside the condo there is one bedroom at entry level along with the kitchen and living room. The main bedroom/bathroom/walk-in closet/office is upstairs.

View straight out the living room window is pine trees and snow. To the right you look up the Village Ski Run and to the left you can see the gondola house (otherwise known as “One Village Place”) in the Northstar Village. The “Village Express” chair lift goes right past our window – you can wave to the skiers as they go by, or tilt the shades and have all the privacy you want. Looking out the entry end of the condo. you see the gondola passing by. Pictures attached.

Enjoy the excitement of being right on the ski slope and watching the skiers (when you’re not on the hill yourself) during the day. There is the special feeling of being on the hill when you wake up in the morning and then again in the evening when all is still with not a skier in sight. You will experience that stillness and quiet of having the woods and the snow all to yourself. Speaking of stillness and quiet, there is the occasional grooming machine going by in the night or those times when they are making snow during the night and you will hear them. We think of it as the beautiful sounds of our friends out there preparing the slopes to perfection for our wonderful day of skiing tomorrow.

Northstar also has a “Nordic Center” and “warming huts” for snow shoeing, cross country skiing and Nordic skating.

For your convenience, locker #36 on the 1st floor of our building may be used to store your skis, snowboards and poles. Your unit lockbox combination can be used to access this locker.

Summer time fun includes hiking, mountain biking where the lift takes you up and you ride down, Championship golf and driving range and swimming. Northstar’s tennis center holds national tennis clinics. Nearby: Shakespeare festival on Lake Tahoe, Boating on Lake Tahoe, “Woodies” festival with hundreds of beautiful old Chris-Craft and Century type wooden boats that have been restored ………..much, much more.

The original condos, as is the case with many mountain homes, do not have central air cooling – they do have central heat. We have installed top-of-the-line Casablanca ceiling fans in each room to circulate the mountain breezes in the summer time.

You will have access to the Northstar Recreation center during your stay which includes 3 year-round spas (hot tubs), large family swimming pool and toddler pool open in the summer, lap pool open year-round, full gym equipment including free weights, saunas, showers, summer time snack bars, summer time grass and children’s play area, picnic tables and barbeques. As of fall, 2021 the Recreation Center charges $10.00/person/day on admission. Towels are available at the Recreation Center for $2.00/towel.

In the condo you will find our welcome binder listing many great activities and resources. The condo is equipped with carbon monoxide monitors and smoke detectors as well as folding emergency fire ladder for upstairs fire protection.

The on-demand hot water heater means you can take that shower for as long as you want and the next person will still have all of the hot water he/she wants as well.

Cancellation Policy: Per VRBO website. If final payment is not received within 10 days of scheduled arrival deposits to date are forfeited and property is put back on the market.
