We arrived at the condo and found it hadn’t been cleaned. There was dried food on the counters, and the fridge was nasty and there was still food in it. There was sand in the Murphy bed, so it’s very unlikely it was cleaned. There was also sand all over the floors, (I understand it’s the beach, but it hadn’t been cleaned.) it was also 75 degrees in the room when we arrived. I reached out to the owner and she said she’d have the cleaning people come and gave us money for dinner. The cleaning people arrived the next day and were able to get it cleaned after a few hours, but they broke the only light in the living room and a shelf out of the fridge. The temperature continued to go up in the room until it was mid 80s, so we stayed out of the room as much as possible. Later on in our stay the owner had a portable AC unit sent to the room that we had to assemble and attempt to set up. Unfortunately it was a unit that had to be vented and none of the windows opened properly for it to do so, so there was hot air blowing out the back and causing the temperature to go up even more. I gave the owner updates nearly every day and at some points throughout the entire day. She asked me to go buy fans for the unit the day before we left for her next guests and she reimbursed me for them and gave me $20 for our time. The day before we left a maintenance man came and “properly” installed the portable ac unit, so we had no access to the balcony. The owner refunded $150 which only covered 1 nigh
