This is a great property for a large group. There are plenty of beds for everyone to sleep. With 6 bedrooms, the home offers 7 actual beds, and 2 futons. One large room has two full/queen beds and the futons are in the adjoining upstairs living space. The balcony provides a great view of the lake. Unfortunately, the lake was down during our stay and there was no water on our end of the cove, but it was still a very peaceful stay. The kitchen has a lot of pots and pans, as well as utensils to cook with. The refrigerator does not make ice, so you’ll need to pick some up before getting to the house.
The downstairs master bedroom has a private bathroom, a private balcony, and a very comfortable bed. There is a window unit for cooling that works very well, but the temp went from 80 on Friday to 24 on Sunday and there was not a heater (that we found) big enough to heat the room. It was very cold when the temp dropped outside throughout the house, and especially downstairs.
The house has smart TVs which are great, but you have to have apps and be able to login to the providers if you want to watch anything other than movies. Specifically, as we did, it was playoff season for college football and we had to purchase Sling to be able to watch the games. Once we did that it was great.
The view is beautiful and the wildlife watching, especially of the herds of deer, made it very special.
There is a trash bin located on property to dispose of your trash, and the checkout procedures were not cumbersome like with some VRBO properties.
Over all, this is a great house, neighborhood and location, and the owner was communicative and responsive. We would definitely stay here again.
