Seadance is located on the Lost Coast of California in the charming oceanside community of Shelter Cove. This beautiful 3bd/3ba 2800 sf oceanfront luxury vacation rental home offers stunning ocean views from nearly every room to help you unwind from your every day life.

Any time of year the Northern California coast is spectacular and the Seadance offers the space, views and relaxing atmosphere to immerse yourself in the glory of nature. Whether you relax to the soothing ocean sounds and/or engage in the many local outdoor activities, you will revive your spirt on the Lost Coast and return home rejuvinated.

From the moment you open the front door, the breathtaking ocean views will capture your attention and set the mood for a relaxing getaway. With ocean views from nearly every room in the house, numerous amenities, lovely landscape and so much more, you will appreciate why the Seadance hosts numerous families who return year after year.

​On the main level, captivating views command your attention from the beautiful living area which has comfortable seating areas, two full sleeper sofas, full bath and a beautiful fireplace. Also on the main level is a bedroom with a queen bed. The kitchen is well equipped with staples on hand - including a variety of spices.

​Upstairs the oceanfront master bedroom has a beautiful view and opens to the balcony and includes a king bed, full bath and sitting area. The third bedroom is across from the master and offers two twin XL beds. The third bathroom is on the second level with a claw foot tub and also includes the full size washer/dryer.

The upstairs entertainment area offers another full sofa bed, TV with Roku, DVD/VHS player, hundreds of movies, books and a pool table to challenge friends and family. Additional card and board game entertainment can be found in the downstairs cupboard.

Off the main level is a 1000 sf patio, dining area and fire pit to enjoy watching the waves, looking for whales, searching for sea lions and other ocean loving creatures. Want a higher ocean view, hang out on the upstairs balcony.

The Shelter Cove Airport 0Q5 has a 3400 x 60 foot asphalt runway 12/30. General Aviation Pilots can fly free to the airport. Gyppo the famous local Brew Pub Restaurant and the Shelter Cove Campground and Deli are at the end on runway 30.

There are numerous activities within walking distance of Seadance - restaurants, gift and art galleries, deli, nature and fitness trails, tide pools, lighthouse, harbor beach, golf, blow hole and so much more.

Check-out instructions

The host requires you complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks, and take out the trash
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Lock all doors and windows and place the wooden dowels into tracks. Please ensure the fireplace wall control is in the off position and any space heaters are turned off and unplugged from outlet.
Push the lock button on the door keypad after firmly pulling the door closed.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
NO PETS, NO PARTIES, NO EVENTS, OCCUPANCY MUST MATCH RESERVATION, Credit card cha on the Lost C'.
GUEST MUST SIGN OUR RENTER AGREEMENT, to be sent after reserving and must be signed and returned within 24 hours to avoid cancelation of reservation.
A damage deposit of $500 will be held on the card used 3 days prior to arrival and released within 10 days post departure assuming no damage.

Artistic excellence- the perfect inspiration location

We absolutely loved our stay again this year at Seadance. It is the most gorgeous, clean, open, beautiful setting for artists to be inspired. We were able to paint 17 paintings, between the 5 of us, during our stay because the gorgeous views off the deck and nearby. Everything is so comfortable, and convenient. We left our hearts in Shelter Cove. I highly recommend staying here.

Family vacation at Seadance

Our family had a wonderful stay at Seadance! It was very comfortable and clean! My youngest daughter loved the desk area to do her sketches. The kitchen was well stocked too. The property is very well maintained and Gaby was very helpful. We look forward to staying here again on our next California vacation.

Great home with an amazing view

We stayed at the seadance home after viewing it at a meditation weekend on the cove. It was a great place for three couples to just relax and enjoy the amazing views out of every window. The house was stocked with everything you would want in a vacation rental. It was very clean, beds were comfortable, huge dvd selection we utilized the last night along with the pool table and outdoor fireplace. The owners were very responsive and kind. I will definitely come back to seadance and stay a few night again.

Think the opposite of the Coach Saban VRBO TV ad. This home, its owners and the house manager could not be more welcoming and accommodating. The home is situated directly on the Pacific. There is not a moment of any day that you don't hear the ocean waves. Seadance is equipped with everything you need from kitchen utensils and spices to a firepit overlooking the water. If you enjoy a peaceful retreat with lots of wildlife this gem is for you. As an added benefit a small brewery with great pub food is located walking distance away.

Unbeatable Space for Family + Friends

Here's a list of ALL of the things we enjoyed during our stay (in no particular order): a giant open floor plan for the kitchen and family / living room, a large beautiful lanai with a fire pit overlooking the ocean, three bathrooms (one with a clawfoot tub), extra fridge in the garage, bikes + cornhole set in the garage, plenty of space, a pool table upstairs, another large and covered lanai upstairs with chairs, walking distance to the brewery, cute little foxes running around, lots of deer... oh and a CHARCOAL grill (my favorite) as well as a gas one. I hope we can come back someday!

An immaculate home situated on the edge of the ocean!

Who doesn’t say “wow,” the moment they cross the threshold and take in the spectacular cliffs and waves crashing into shore! Seadance is appointed with everything we could possibly need and want. Comfy beds, beautiful kitchen which opened into the spacious living room. Cocktails on the second floor porch were most enjoyable. The pool table provided a lot of fun, as well. Our visit was great. House was awesome. Wildlife was unbelievably great. There we're deer and a fox on the back patio daily. Great views of the ocean. Very comfortable beds. Fully stocked kitchen. Our friends were in awe upon entering the house. Already planning a return stay. Wish the weather had been better, but one never knows what it'll be like in Shelter Cove. Over the years its been total fantastic sunny warm days and cold windy days on previous stays. One thing we'll always return to Shelter Cove no matter what the weather is like, its totally worth every minute. Excellent Ocean front home. Property manager was fantastic. Can't wait to book our return stay.

A little bit of Heaven

After the crazy 1 hr drive from the 101 you walk in the front door and realize it was well worth it! Spacious living areas, wonderful views, the symphony of the ocean 24/7, friendly people..... We drove out to the Redwood Forests on 4 of our days there and though the road out and back is wild just knowing what we were driving back to was a great peace of mind. We would certainly go back.

Words Cannot Describe How Amazing This Place Is

I had found this property to rent for a family vacation. It looked great from the pictures, but pictures do not do the Seadance justice. The backyard/oceanfront was unsurprisingly the main feature, with hours spent just sitting and enjoying the moment as the waves crash. As for the surrounding area, Shelter Cove, it was a quaint little coastal town that was fairly hidden. The owners really thought of everything when preparing this place for guests, as there were many forms of entertainment. Truly an all-around special place to relax and enjoy nature.

You can feel the force of nature looking out over the Pacific Ocean with unobstructed views. Here in Shelter Cove, you will step back in time to a quaint fishing village and its’ natural beauty will exhilarate your soul. It certainly has touched ours!

Seadance is very special. Previous owners Mary, Anthony and her father David, took pride in preserving this pristine ocean front home. Heidi and I, as caretakers will continue to expand and improve the level of hospitality you have come to love at Seadance to its highest level.

Stephanie Andrews has been the local manager of Seadance and will continue to take care of our guests. She is a Master in Feng Shui with www.HeartFullHive.com and has lived in Shelter Cove for many years and is a beautiful soul who loves to help people find joy in life.
