About this property

Ideally Located Between Gatlinburg & Pigeon Forge! Great Views!

Our Black Bear Lodge is back! This brand new 4 bed 3 bath cabin stands where the previous Our Black Bear Lodge stood before it burned to the ground in 2016. We are delighted and humbled to be bringing back Our Black Bear Lodge in a totally new and different way.

The Space
This luxury cabin offers a modern rustic feel to guests and features amenities such as a hot tub, movie theater, retro arcade game and more! Located in Chalet Village, guests will also have access to the seasonal community amenities such as the pool, the tennis courts and more. Everything in this property was designed with you in mind!

The View
Our Black Bear Lodge offers a beautiful unobstructed view of the mountains that can be enjoyed from both the bottom floor and main floor decks all year round.

The Rooms
Every room has a theme. The Master Bedroom is an homage to the great outdoors. The Loft Bedrooms are fraternal twins donned in red and green plaids respectively. The basement room pays tribute to the great Dolly Parton in a tasteful and understated way.

The cabin comfortably sleeps 8 guests. Our Black Bear Lodge is located at the end of cul-de-sac in the heart of Chalet Village, 25 minutes from Ober Gatlinburg Ski Resort and Amusement Park. Located 1.5 miles from downtown Gatlinburg and 30 minutes from the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. It is 15 minutes from Pigeon Forge and Dollywood, and 45 minutes from Knoxville Tennessee.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS: (if you're question is not answered here, please feel free to message us)

1. What Linens are included? – We provide linens for beds, bath towels, and wash cloths.

2. What household supplies are provided? – We get you started with 2 rolls of paper towels, 2 roll of toilet paper per bathroom, dish detergent, 2 dishwasher pod, 2 laundry detergent pod and kitchen trash bags.

3. What does the kitchen include? –The kitchen is stocked with everything you would expect in a normal kitchen plus a blender, toaster, slow cooker, various size pots & pans, wine glasses, a Keurig, and a regular coffee pot.

4. Do you provide a grill? – Yes! And it is gas.

5. Do you provide fire wood? – No, be sure to pick up some, as well as starter logs at the grocery store or gas station on your way in.

6. Do you allow pets? – NO. Under no circumstances do we allow pets.

7. Is the hot tub cleaned after every stay? – Yes! Our hot tub is drained, cleaned, and refilled for every stay.

8. Is there a community club house and pool area? – Yes, in Chalet Village, we have 3 community pools and clubhouses. The pools are open from Memorial Day Weekend in May through Labor Day Weekend in September.

9. Is the price flexible? - We do NOT offer discounts, nor do we eliminate or reduce any of the fees.

10. Do you ever reduce the stated prices – On occasion, if upcoming unsold dates remain, we may reduce prices for those unsold dates. That will already be reflected in the pricing that you see here.

11. When will I get the address and cabin access info? - Address, door code, and driving directions will be emailed in a separate message prior to your arrival.

12. What time is check-in and check-out? – You may check in any time after 4pm and you must checkout prior to 10am on the day of your departure.

13. Do you provide travel insurance? - If cancellation is a concern, we do recommend the purchase of Cancellation Protection from CSA (this does not go through us).

14. Can I cancel if the weather is bad? – Cancellations due to weather will not be refunded.

15. What TV package / channels do you provide? –We are providing smart TV with integrated streaming services that guests are more than welcome to log in to. The TVs also come equipped with Roku. We will also be providing a private media server with hundreds of your favorite movies both brand new and old.

16. What type of internet to you provide? – We provide unlimited Gigabit internet with Wi-Fi.

17. Are there any days where Check-in or Check-out is not permitted? - The only 3 days that we do not allow check-in or check-out are Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Years.

Don’t forget to put the chains back up on our driveway before you leave.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
CHARGES: $165 per unannounced overnight guest $200 + damages for unapproved parties $500 for any tampering with the security cameras
NO SMOKING ALLOWED ANYWHERE ON THE PROPERTY (inside and outside). Any evidence of smoking will result in a $300 additional charge.
You are responsible for the actions of the members of your party. You must inform them of the House Rules. Ignorance is not an excuse.

Perfect Family Getaway

We loved our stay at the Black Bear Lodge. The accomodations were wonderful, clean , and bonus of great views. The location was amazing; quiet mountaintop but close to the national park entrance and perfectly situated between Gatlinburg and Pigeon forge downtown areas. Lots of great memories were made and the kids were asking to return again in the future before we even left.

Perfect Stay in the Mountains

House is wonderful. Everything is exactly as described and the views are amazing. We saw six bears in the neighborhood during our stay so be alert. Really cool though to see them in person. Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge and GSMNP are all very close to this property. The host was quick to respond and communicated effectively. Would highly recommend this property.

Our Black Bear Lodge is a fantastic cabin. Super clean and has all the ammenities! We saw several bears in our travels and you can see the fireworks at Dollywood from the deck. This neighborhood is still being rebuilt from the big fire but the construction crews were very courteous and evenings were peacefully quiet.

Wonderful Place

The cabin was an amazing place to stay. There are so many things to do in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge and there were days that we were sad to leave the cabin because it was just so enjoyable. I really wish we had more days out there just so we could enjoy the cabin more. The place was very clean and pretty much had everything we needed. We had some great meals that we made there. We like to travel to different places each year but this place makes us just want to back here each year. We are so happy that we had the opportunity to stay here. Also, the host was very responsive. I would get a response immediately when I would ask a question.

Beautiful cabin with amazing views

The property was absolutely everything we could have asked for! The views are incredible. It's location on a dead-end street with very little traffic made for a wonderfully relaxing experience. The cabin itself is comfortable, well stocked, and spacious. There is construction next door, but there wasn't anyone working while we were there. There is still quite a bit of construction going on in the area as a result of the fires in 2018, so we weren't surprised. Our hosts were accommodating and very responsive. Our departure was delayed on leaving day due to 2 bears snoozing under the front door porch and they completely understood 😀 I highly recommend this property and would most definitely stay there again!

Perfect home away from home

This house was perfect for our stay. The roads are a bit windy to get to the house, but the views are totally worth it. We saw bears nearly every morning right out our front door. Even a mama and 3 cubs climbing a tree. Catching the sunrise off the deck every morning was my favorite. The peacefulness before everyone awakes was a perfect way to start my day. The house was perfect for our family of 5. Each boy had their own room, and with the table on the deck and in the kitchen, we were able to have our cousins over for dinner one night without it feeling too crowded. We enjoyed the game room downstairs each night. We took advantage of the pool one night, which was decent size and had a slide that my son enjoyed. The kitchen was fully stocked, and we had no issues that required us to contact Carlos during our stay. Highly recommend! If we find ourselves back in the Smokys, we will definitely be staying here! Thanks for the wonderful memories!

Exceptional Experience!!!

We rented this amazing cabin for my kids, their spouses and my grandkids to attend my son’s wedding in Gatlinburg. As we opened the door and walked in, all we could say was WOW!! Extremely clean, beautifully decorated and breathtaking views. Loved sitting on the decks watching the sunrise, playing bags, and just relaxing. The hosts were exceptional communicators and make sure the cabin is equipped with everything needed for a great experience. We were even able to observe a bear with their cubs and even papa bear stand up and scratch his back against the electrical post! We highly recommend this cabin and these hosts, and would love to visit again!! 🐻❤️

Not fit for a family

Upon arrival, overall the place was beautiful. However, construction is a displeasure as they start rather early with the surrounding homes. This cabin is not meant for a family as they include each child as a "guest" reaching their max at 8 guests total with no accommodations. The owners will find any excuse to request more money from you.
