Highbank sunsets! Pet friendly, huge yard, watch the eagles, whales and boats!
We welcome you to this comfortable home that was designed with families and pets in mind. The entire yard is fenced with plenty of room for everyone to enjoy. On the water side, the firepit is always a favorite. In the backyard, a basketball hoop can provide hours of fun.
Living room has a huge couch for seating with a view. TV and wifi for when you decide to come indoors. Eat in kitchen has everything you'll need. Dining on the deck might be your best bet though!
There are 2 bedrooms with queen beds. Both bedrooms have plenty of natural light through windows and sliders, but there are blinds for sleeping late. There is also a nook with a twin bed and a trundle.
The full bath is conveniently located. The half bath is just off the biggest bedroom, but also accessible from the hallway where the washer and dryer are.
The path to the beach is just down the street. When the tide is out, it is a very nice walk to Cama Beach State Park. They have boats to rent, activities for kids, a cafe with terrific breakfast and lunch and tons of trails. You can even get to the other state park from there! So much to do on Camano Island.

We visited previously in the summer and returned for our 2024 Christmas. The sweeping views of the Saratoga passage are fantastic. Over our stay we saw harbor seals, a porpoise, and a gray whale along with countless birds (the whale was from the walkable beach).
We stayed for 5 nights and it was delightful. The view is incredible and the hosts have created places to relax and enjoy the view both inside and out. We were lucky to see whales on two occasions (with the help of binoculars provided by the host!).
We especially appreciated the well-stocked kitchen and outdoor grill. The home has nearby beach access and is also minutes from two gorgeous state parks.
This was my second stay at Leslie's Lookout and both visits were magical. The cottage is quite cute and cozy. View of the water, boats, birds including Bald Eagles is amazing. We appreciated the central AC in the July and August afternoons. The primary bed (only one we used) was very comfortable. Our pups enjoyed exploring the large yard. Overall a great getaway spot!
We had a lovely few days with family here, as part of a larger extended family gathering in multiple rental homes. Of all of the rentals we visited on this trip, this one had far and away the best ocean and sunset vistas. Every morning, we watched eagles and herons swoop out over the water. In the evening, we enjoyed extremely photogenic sunsets, and a cozy firepit. As we were present over the holiday, we also had a comfortable indoor (bug-free!) or outdoor vantage point for the many private and public firework displays on both the near and opposite shores.
Our main reason for rating cleanliness as a four was specific to the pet-allergic among us. For those looking for a pet-friendly home, this would probably be purely delightful, with its fenced-in yard and pet-beds. Unfortunately, the single small air purifier was unable to reduce the residue of pet stays much for us. No one's fault; we were aware it was pet-friendly up front. Possibly a higher MERV filter on the whole-house air-handling system, or maybe HEPA air purifiers in the bedrooms, might have helped.
Jenn was very helpful and responsive before and during our stay. Thanks!
Oh, and the venerable but still playable piano was a nice bonus for our family of musicians.
Amazing location. Private, quiet and great views throughout the main living area. Clean and well/thoughtfully stocked. Our "girls" enjoyed all of the big windows and spent much of their time bird watching. Perfect for a relaxing getaway. Cheers, Kara and Paul (Poppy and Moxie)
We stayed over 4th of July and the property was terrific! Private setting with beautiful views of the sound. House had all the stuff needed for a comfortable stay and they even had a couple items for kiddos under 2 which is helpful. We would happily stay again!
My husband, myself and our two corgis had a relaxing stay at this home. It fulfilled all of our needs! The home and the neighborhood was so nice and peaceful. We had fun taking our dogs exploring the state parks; Iverson Reserve and Camano State Park were our favorites. Jenn, the property manager was super helpful with everything.
We stayed at Leslie’s Lookout previously about a month ago and enjoyed our stay so much we came back again. View is spectacular and So is Jenn, the property manager. Cannot recommend this home nor Jenn enough.
My husband and I spent 5 wonderful days at Leslie’s lookout and can’t wait to go back. We spent most of that time out on the deck, Or on the private beach with our dogs (when we weren’t touring the area or other islands). The sunsets were absolutely amazing and the peaceful setting unmatched. The house had everything we needed for a cozy, comfortable stay and the dogs loved the huge yard. Will definitely be back!
We loved this home. It was comfortable and the kitchen was well-stocked. The location is amazing...watching the boats, birds, and sunset from the deck was incredible!
Jenn is fantastic! Everything was portrayed accurately on the website, view was spectacular and Jenn couldn’t be more helpful. Only regret we have is that we couldn’t stay longer. Highly recommend this house to enjoy Camano Island.
Had a great time with family and dogs. Property was well kept and clean. Loved the deck and views out over the strait. Very peaceful setting. Yard was huge and well maintained. Dogs enjoyed the freedom to roam the fully fenced property. Plan on returning next year.
Loved staying at this place. The views were amazing and the sunsets were beyond beautiful. We loved how peaceful it was and being on a dead-end street meant no traffic and the neighbors were very quiet. My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we will be back!
We enjoyed our week of respite up here at Camino Island. The spot has lovely views, was able to watch eagle soaring by and lovely sunsets. Had a walk on the beach and very close to the state parks for other outings.
The property was easy to find. It was super clean and well equiped. The view was amazing. It felt very private. The yard was perfect for our dogs. We will be coming back.
We had a great time here with our two young kids. There were plentiful amenities for kids including bathroom stools, toys, outdoor activities, and eating utensils. The views were beautiful even on a cloudy day. Shore access was easy. There were plenty of birds and seals to see. The dog beds and bowls were also a really nice touch. We would highly recommend this spot for a nice, relaxing getaway.
We enjoyed this property with the beautiful views of the water and Olympic Mountains.
The yard was perfect for our dog and two grandsons, they loved the playhouse outside!
My wife and I wanted a couple of quiet days away prior to her having a major surgery. Camano Island was a destination we had been curious about for some time, so we decided to go. This has was just what we had in mind. We liked the spacious living room and kitchen. The westerly views of Whidbey Island and Saratoga Pass are unblockable. The large deck and grassy yard would be great in summer. The house is well equipped with everything you would hope to find. I have a couple of suggestions, but NO complaints. First, the overhead lighting fixture in the kitchen throws very. little light. On dark NW winter afternoons/evenings, it would be nice to have something brighter. And, the living room tv is too small for the size of the room. At least, for my middle aged eyes. We very much enjoyed our stay and recommend this listing without reservation.
We had a really lovely weekend here. It is such a perfect place to bring your dog, relax in total comfort and soak up the beauty. So much room, inside and out! Very easy check-in, quick response to questions… this is our favorite VRBO yet! Thanks, Jenn!

Why they chose this property
This was the owner's mom's favorite place to be. She let them know that she wanted it to be shared with others.
What makes this property unique
West facing location looking over Saratoga Passage offer both ocean and mountain views that can't be beat. Seeing whales in the water, eagles flying by, and Whidbey Island with the Olympic Mountains behind is pretty amazing.
