Welcome to Big Daddy's Bear Cave! Where the bears are furry, the cave is cozy, and the fun is plenty! This secluded log cabin hideaway is perfect for a large gathering - whether it be a family trip, friends reunion, or a Big Daddy/Momma Bears' week getaway. Inside you will find over 4000 sq ft of heated/cooled space, tall ceilings, and 5 bedrooms/5 full baths along with a huge game room for all of your entertainment needs. Includes a pool table, foosball table, card table, theatre room, 60 game multicade, Jurassic Park arcade game, basketball shooting game, and even your very own sauna! Make sure to relax in the hot tub on the back porch while taking in the majestic mountain views. Unlike some nearby cabin "colonies", here you will not even notice that you have neighbors. There is barely a cabin in sight and nothing but woods directly around you. And don't forget the amazing mountain views, accessible from all 3 levels of balconies! Also, it is located in the lovely neighborhood of Cobbly Knob which offers onsite golfing through Bent Creek Golf Course, a pickle ball court, and 3 community pools (2 of which are in the neighborhood and about 1 mile away from the cabin)! So you are not completely off the grid. It's only a 20 minute drive to downtown Gatlinburg and 30 minutes to Pigeon Forge/Dollywood. There are plenty of other shops in between including the lovely Arts & Crafts District!

The cabin itself is gorgeous and a well-thought out floor plan. The driveway starts off with available parking for 5 cars. The wrap around porch from front to side to back on the main floor provides great curb appeal and outdoor hang out space. The main floor has an open floor plan to the living and dining areas so you can socialize all in one place while prepping, eating, and watching tv. The large dining table and side counter seating is perfect for the whole crew to enjoy a big meal together. Laugh and eat while gazing at the perfect mountain views. You can also grill out on the back deck while being one with nature. Just keep an eye out for Daddy/Momma Bear as they do tend to roam the neighborhood from time to time ;). During season, you may even catch a glimpse of them with their cubs on your way into/out of the neighborhood! See bedroom arrangements below and floor plan in pics.

***Please note that during colder fall/winter months, you may experience ladybugs/Asian beetles that get inside the cabin. Despite our best efforts with pest control and sealing, they gravitate towards the warmth and may find their way in. The good news is that they are harmless and we provide a dust buster to clean them up! This is typical of all the cabins in the area***

This cabin truly exceeded our expectations. Everything was well organized and easy to understand. The pictures don't do the cabin or view justice. And it felt a lot bigger in person. There was plenty of space for everyone. Communication between host and guest was phenomenal. Any questions or concerns we had were immediately taken care of. Thank you again for hosting us, it was a trip we will never forget! We would love to come back!

Cabin with Wonderful Views

We had a wonderful stay at Big Daddy's Bear Cave. The cabin was perfect for our large group with multiple families. Lots of places to spread out and the views from the porch were incredible. Travis and Kristy were very responsive to all of our questions and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We even saw a Mama bear and her cub pass in front of the cabin. Such a wonderful experience.

Amazing experience in the Smoky Mountains!

Our family had an amazing experience in this cabin. The views are breathtaking, the kids didn’t leave the gameroom and theater, they loved it!! This was our entire families first time in Gatlinburg and def a memorable one!! We loved our stay and communication with the host. Best Family Vacay Ever!

This was our very 1st family vacation out of state and we could not have picked a better home to make fantastic new memories! The kids had a ball in the game room and the jacuzzi! The space and layout were perfect for all 18 of us! The location was perfect to see all the wonderful attractions in Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge. The best and most magnificent part of the stay was the majestic views. We stayed in awe of the beauty of Gatlinburg. We got some snow too! The bedrooms were huge and the accommodations were perfect. Most of the adults stayed at the house because it was so relaxing and with the gameroom and porch areas they had a great time lounging at the house. We will definitely be back!

Our whole group was extremely impressed with stay at this wonderful cabin! Place was fabulous with cabin space, decks, hot tub, theater room, game room, electric fireplace, …..WOW, everything! Kids didn’t want to leave! Perfect timing we had several sitings of bears right out front of cabin and in the backyard! Impressive!!! We had snow too, view of mountains off deck were covered in snow on upper elevations! Other big pluses were parking for three vehicles and Wi-Fi service was very strong! Communications with owner was very helpful, we highly recommend this cabin to others!

Big Daddy’s Bear Cave (Oct. 2023)

Great cabin - communication with owners was very easy. No complaints at all. Very well equipped in all regards. If I was to TRY HARD to come up with anything it might be to turn down the water heater temperature just a little (as a precaution for small children). Also, there are no vertical blinds on the front door to prevent other people from looking in. Both of the above are very minor issues.

I would say give this one a try.This host asked for a five star review. He said, "Even if your stay wasn't perfect" leave a 5 star.No apologies just leave five stars.The host did get an exterminator quickly but...I paid for a 5 bedroom 5 bath cabin for 13 guests.Because of mice on the lowest level 4 guests were on couches or the floor upstairs to sleep.The exterminator was extremely nice. But we saw mice 4 out of the five nights. Takes a while. And there are mice holes Life happens. We got by and convinced the kiddos they could use the lower floor they just would not sleep in that bedroom. Even made a game of mice spotting.Over all the cabin was quite nice with a great location. Kitchen well appointed.Spacious living area.Lovely view especially the top master bedroomThe view from top deckview window takes your breath away.All decks lots of seating and great outdoor viewing.Large table could seat everyone for games and meals.Wifi great.Roads to cabin in great condition and easy but fun for flatlanders.Entrance to the Smokey Mountain Park off the main road to cabin a couple of miles down the main road.Try Trish's diner . The pizza place is excellent. The large grocery closer to Gatlinburg is great.The outdoor grill impressed my grillers. They said for a rental one of the best I've forced them to use.Hey we stayed for 5 nights and had a good time. Host did get an exterminator. So now he knows the problem. I'm sure he'll keep on top of it.

Beautiful

This place is absolutely beautiful. We took a family vacation with my grown children and grandchildren. We had a wonderful time. We could have easily stayed in the cabin the entire time with the game room, the view, etc. Their were only a couple things that might be improved, but nothing to change this rating. There were no dishtowels for us to dry dishes. We couldn't find a broom or any cleaning supplies to wipe down counters etc. Other than that, it was amazing. Highly recommend.

Cozy and Spacious for a large family

Perfect Cabin for our family of 9!! Lots of room to spread out and relax. The kids loved the entertainment room and our personal favorite was playing pac man!! The views were breathtaking from each floor. We felt like we had our own mountain to ourselves and driving up to the cabin wasn’t scary like I had scene with other cabins. I highly recommend any family who wants to vacation together in the mountains to book here. My only recommendation would be to have a book left there so past guests could write recommendations on where to go and things to do!! **Future Guests:: Make sure you stop at Junction Spirits in Pigeon Forge and pick up a bottle of Black Cherry Whiskey. Fun family house!

The large dining table sold us on this house and we loved the porches, room variety and watching a soccer match in the theater area! Works well with a variety of ages and interests. The pools were a bit of a challenge to find and small but nice. And we had visits from two bears (or was it one who repeated?) which thrilled the children! Lovely spot! Thanks, owners, for communicating with us when we needed some direction!

Thanksgiving

My family meets every year for Thanksgiving. This home layout was awesome. The kids loved the game room! Everyone had plenty of room to spread out but we also loved the fact that the main level had plenty of room and the dining room area was absolutely awesome. We enjoyed tremendously. The owners were fabulous to work with and provided prompt responses to work questions.
